EXPLAINED: Slice Weaves does not add to weave lag

Highly likely same as point of no return pulses on everything else you will have a window of starting a new weave before slice weave has executed anything to effect your character status.

Increasing the lag would likely make it too powerful, so not sure on the fix.

What if instead of a lag it shocked the recipient into releasing saidar/saidin?
