EXPLAINED: Caemlyn Throne Room

Post by Feneon » Tue May 24, 2022 10:14 am

Caemlyn throneroom locked because of special code attached to Gareth that allowed him to use a key to unlock the officedoor and enter the room, which also locked the greatdoor.

I'll adjust this further, but very quickly:

Gareth no longer has the key to the door. In 30 rounds Gawyn did not lock the door. The officedoor 1e is accessible by Queen's Guard to open so if you hit Caemlyn and a Queen's Guard opens the door then the mobs will chase into the Throne Room.

Gawyn still retains a key. This means if you are hitting Caemlyn and you kill the Throne Room mobs then you will be able to unlock the door and kill Morgase. Her room 1e is no-channeling, but she has much lower support.

1e used to have mobol that would kick you out of the room if you entered it and were not a Queen's Guard. This has been removed.

However, this change objectively makes the Throne Room more powerful against dodgers because the first mobs in the room that will assist are the Defenders of the Rose Crown. But, it should no longer lock on players who are hitting individuals inside.

As always with city heads, we want the hits to take a bit of time and generally we expect that they require around 5 individuals (give or take) based on the difficulty of the area.
