The Giant Chamber of Stone
Most parts of this chamber look to have been formed naturally by the water
dripping from the ceiling of limestone but here and there the touch of man
clearly shines through. A pile of dry wood has been stuffed away in a corner
where the water can't get to it and in the middle of the chamber there are some
remnants of a fire. It looks to be a holdup for travelers seeking their way
through the mountains. The only exit is out through the stonegates to the east.

An ancient stone column stands broken and partially buried in the ground.

The stone column bears the following symbols:
A north-pointing arrow inside a circle.
An east-pointing arrow inside a circle.
A south-pointing arrow inside a circle.
A west-pointing arrow inside a circle.
A north-pointing arrow extending out of its circle.
An east-pointing arrow extending out of its circle.
A south-pointing arrow extending out of its circle.
A west-pointing arrow extending out of its circle.
A circle with a single point in its center.
A circle with a triangle.
A circle with an upside down triangle.
Two horizontal wavy lines intersected by a crenelated line.
A vertical wavy line.
A horizontal wavy line.
When you look inside, you see:

You get a smooth metallic disc from a backpack.

You put a smooth metallic disc in a stone column.

A smooth disc seems to sink into the column.

A strange hum echoes around Deep Within the Spine of the World.

A smooth disc detaches itself from the column.
The hum quiets.
You touch several of the symbols on the ancient stone column.
Nothing happens.
