I have a feeling this is because you didn't engage.

There's no mobol on Galnorn that would account for this, so that means this is coded. Either the mud wide assist coding, or something specific to Galnorn.

In the end all humans died in there anyhow.. so I still won!

Still annoying that he engaged, but it is something rare as I've not seen it before.

Perhaps related to it, is that if you ungroup a trolloc mob inside Ilsae, they also aggro the mob? That is something I noticed before in the past. I Always figured that was to prevent people from stacking rammies inside Ilsae, but perhaps it is more related to this?

Probably, yes. It seems rather unlikely that someone made their code flags ages ago and then put anti-trolloc mob stacking in.
