The Slopes of Shayol Ghul
Grey, jagged blocks of stone are heaped like ancient cairns here, each a giant
spire pointing to the sky. Seemingly vastly old, they look to be from before
the Breaking of the World. This place has a lonely, desolate barrenness. There
is nothing here reminiscent of there ever having been anything alive here.
Only the ancient cairns, standing in defiance of time and death.

The landscape here is windblown and forlorn, dominated by cold grey rocks and
black, mossy slates. Some black grass is struggling for life in small cracks
and crevices, straggly tufts of the black grass waving in the cold and biting
wind. A jagged cliff drops down to the east, denying all passage.
