My uncanny ability to find the exitless rooms continues

Post by puny » Mon Aug 28, 2017 11:10 am

So.... I know the spams from Tear to Luggy pretty much by heart..... After yesterday's escapade I decide to go more slowly and carefully make my way to Luggy from Tear. Once I left the portal stone I was careful to check exits and go room by room to get to luggy.... and this happens...

Mind you, I was on the trail to Luggy near in Maredo a bit south of the part that leads off north to FM... I went west from an ESW exit room after checking exits.... ended up here... lots of muttering and cursing ensued once I realized no imm's were on to answer my prayers

Bend in the Small Trail
Grasslands consisting of brown and golden grasses spread out to the horizon in
each direction. Patches of exposed earth, bare and hardened by the lack of
moisture in the area, contrast with the richer vegetation of the plains to the
west. The trail follows from the west and leads further into the plains to the north. <<----- the descriptor says WEST but no west exit only N

Plains Bordering a Trail
The tall, green grass of the plains further to the west towards Lugard has given
way completely to the knotted brush of scrub oaks and thorny grasses in the
chaparral. The trail, harder to discern then in the grasses, but still visible
cuts through the brush to the east and disappears as it curves away to the south.

Through the Grassy Plains
Vegetation in the area borders on the non-existent, as few plants are hardy
enough to eke an existence out of the dried, cracked soil that sits loosely on
top of broken shale deposits. The trail appears to further to the south as it
enters in a crevice that meanders between the piles of shale.

Beginning of a Crevice in the Earth
The trail descends from the north gently into a crevice in the earth, carved by some
ancient waterway long dried up. The shale walls on either side are a hodgepodge of
black and red hues. The walls of shale are no longer smooth, but have been broken by
erosion over time. The crevice winds further to the east, deeper into the earth.

Crevice in the Earth
The crevice of shale rock now towers four or five times the height of a horse cart
over the trail that continues to the west or to the east. No vegetation grows on
the rocky soil, which is formed from a fine red and black dust, intermingled with
pieces of broken rock.

A Turn Deep in the Crevice
The walls of the crevice continue their long, gentle arcing from the south and
further to the east. A single, solitary scrub brush has managed to somehow cling
to life where the crevice's floor meets the northern wall. The fine red and black
powder of the crevice floor is piled up in small mounds by some unknown force.

A brazen young hare thumps his powerful hind legs nearby.

A Large Lizard Burrow
A large, open cavern has been carved out of the red and black shale by some unknown
force lost to time. The ceiling cannot be seen through the darkness that shrouds the
room. A thick coating of dried, white animal dung covers the entire floor of the
cavern that measures at least four cart-lengths across.

A mushroom grows here. [2]

Through the Crevice
The walls of the crevice gradually slope lower from east to west, following the
route of the trail. Peeking over the edge of the red and black walls, a few tufts
of spindly grass and other scrub vegetation can be seen. A few random boulders of
some kind of gray rock litter the floor of the crevice, like a giant's playthings.

Rise to the Grasslands
The slope of the crevice floor has risen to be level with the rest surrounding
plains. The trail from the crevice cuts through the sparse, waist-high grasslands
from the crevice to the west to the horizon in the east. Further to the east off
the edge of the trail lies a small hut made of some timbers and thatched grass.

Before a Hut
The grass grows close to the ground, as though it is trimmed regularly. A
small hut lies to the south, the small, simple home of some hunter. A tidy
path can be seen to the east, twisting its way through the plains. To the rolling
grassland is visible stretching far off into the distance in all directions.

A Hunter's Hut
The small hut belongs to a simple hunter. A bearskin rug covers the floor
before a cozy fireplace. The walls are covered with miniature paintings on
hides, scenes of animals and nature in muted, dull colors. A tiny cot sits off
to one side, covered with a fur blanket and some random pieces of hide.

North: A hunter looks for tracks here.
A pale white root of healall lies on the ground.

The small pathway continues to the east and west, making its way across the
plains. Game trails intersect and branch off from the pathway in all directions
into the taller vegetation, consisting of grasses and clumps of stubby oak trees.
Large ruts from wagon wheels have filled in with rainwater, turning it muddy.

Intersection of Two Trails
The trail continues from the eastern horizon to the western horizon. The
trail appears as though many travelers have made their way along it over the
years, leaving permanent marks in the form of long ruts from their wagon wheels.
To the east lies an intersecting pathway, more of a poorly used road that runs
north to south. The plains of Maredo roll off through the countryside. <------- intersection of 2 roads should have NESW exits, even descriptor says as much....

A duck is here flying around.

There goes my raiding plans.. Gonna have to idle and then disconnect so I end up back in COD. *mutter*
