EXPLAINED: Is this a bug

Post by Cil » Mon Aug 03, 2015 2:55 am

Or a "feature", if it is a feature, what's the justification behind it? This is up there with something like old incin/ambush/bash charge. It's just silly really, why should it be in game? And even if it is coding it should be a top priority I'd think for gameplay alone. This totally prevents a successful flee and causes a lot of death's.

Not a bug. Makes sense that if the mud sees you are fleeing west, but the way west then closes you won't be able to flee. One might argue that it isn't best sportsmanship to sit and time open/close in hope that the other guy fails flee, but that comes with the risk of him letting you out and closing the door on himself. Unsure what you'd want it to do instead, give you the right flee every time or just give you the failed flee message right when door closes? But that would kind of make fleelag pointless in those kind of situations.

How is it bad sportsmanship? Little things like this are what create opportunities for skill and keep things interesting for the players who can already do the run of the mill pk exercises with their eyes closed.
