Looking at loads on these. I've found a steel shafted lance in Cairhiern loads in good condition, so thought I'd investigate the load on a smob:

Do all lances load in good condition?

No, but if they are loaded a certain way, they will load halfway between old durability and new. Every single one of such loads has to be fixed manually. I fixed Stahling and Sknight.
