NOT A BUG: Book does go in any of the shelves

Post by Windi » Mon Jun 28, 2021 5:50 am

The Seventh Depository
The depository containing poetry and fiction is surprisingly large for a
learning institution. It would seem that the preservation of stories and
art is as great a pursuit of the Aes Sedai as is the preservation of other
knowledge. A copy of what must be a popular read, 'The Travels of Jain
Farstrider' sits in a bookcase on the central floor, nearest the door.

In a Hallway
The wide hallway concludes to the east at a tall archway with carved double
doors on bronze hinges, which pierce the pale white stone wall. The wall
has been carved with surprisingly lifelike foaming waves, flickering
flames, whirling clouds, tumbling boulders, with a rainbow arching through
the entire scene. Other archways and doors lie to the north and south,
offering access to a few of the other library's depositories.

* HP:Healthy SP:Bursting MV:Strong > The Ninth Depository
This is the smallest of the twelve depositories of the Great Library of Tar
Valon, dedicated to arithmatic. The room is long and oval in shape, with a
flattened dome for a ceiling. Rows of wooden shelves are on the floor and
the circumference of the room is covered by tall bookcases of polished dark
wood. Narrow metal walkways four paces above the ground and ladders on
wheels allow for access to the tomes on higher shelves.

* HP:Healthy SP:Bursting MV:Strong > Eastern Hallway
A plethora of fancifully garbed people and strange beasts ten feet tall or
more have been artfully carved into the pale white stone walls by Ogier
stonemasons. Two arched doorways with a frame of different carved leaves
offer entrance to the individual depositories of the library, each
containing books and tomes on a specific type of subject.

* HP:Healthy SP:Bursting MV:Strong > The Tenth Depository
This long oval room has bookcases of dark polished wood lining the walls
that reach all the way up to a flattened-domed ceiling. A quick glance
confirms that the tomes on the shelves have been sorted by the name of the
author and title of the work. Hanging lanterns which contain the flame in a
glass case hang from the ceiling, in order to minimize the risk of fire.

East Wing of the Library
Colorful floor tiles representing each of the Tower's Ajahs have been laid
in repeating rows throughout this main hallway of the library. A pair of
double doors leading into one of the depositories sits in a tall archway to
the north, while a plain door marked with a brass sign lies south. To the
west, the hallway opens up to a large rotunda topped by a dome. Echoes of
subdued speech and shuffling feet reverberate around the halls.

* HP:Healthy SP:Bursting MV:Strong > Bookbinder's Office
The space in front of the large bookbinder's desk is cluttered with an
assortment of packed book carts. The books, all damaged or stained in some
fashion, await repair or transcription at the skilled hands of the
bookbinding staff. Despite the disarray, some triage has been done, as the
books most in need of repair have been moved to the head of the queue. An
archway to the west leads to a workshop, while heading south allows one to
return to perusing the stacks of the great library of Tar Valon.

The Fifth Depository
Narrow corridors lined with bookcases branch out in several directions,
forming a maze of knowledge. The books on nearby shelves seem to be an odd
melange of very old and relatively new, judging by the conditions of their
spine. The oldest seem to be fragments of text copied from books of the Age
of Legends, while the majority are only a few years old. Regardless of the
age of the manuscript, all of the titles seem to be about construction of
structures, devices, machines and other feats of engineering.

High tables scattered about the end of the room serve as display stands for
a number of miniature models. A few of the more common ones are easily
identified, such as a waterwheel for a mill, and a machine to press grapes.
There are several which are quite complicated, and whose function may only
be discovered upon researching the proper text. The most ingenious are also
the simplest, including a large tower with a pinwheel attached, using the
wind to power a grindstone, and a small, but fully functional model of a
method for raising water to the top of a building using a series of screws.

Small stands have been set up at the end of a row of bookcases, allowing

drawing of an animal. The pages are open to a wide array of fauna. One is a

that has been opened from sternum to pelvis, exposing its internal organs.

various treaties between nations. Each nation has its own section, some of
which are sparsely populated, such as the Borderland countries. The section
