Background:
Born in the midst of a lightning storm, ferocious waves, and boat ride that would sadly rip her from her family Nori presses on as an adult woman as a member of the White Tower. Adopted by a farming family purely out of coincidence who happened to be near the Almoth Plain when the wreckage occurred. A local wisdom of Katar gifted her new parents this child when they could not locate the mother, an Atha'an Miere woman lost at sea. Her Father had passed only 6 months before she was born, also claimed by the sea under different circumstances. Most of her life was spent growing up in Emonds Field under the watchful eye of the Red Eagles and the good people of Manetheren. She would grow up thinking she was of the old blood, but it was more a state of mind and a sense of belonging as she felt she was truly of Manetheren having spent her entire child hood growing up just east of wine spring.

Emonds field is a bustling location in the South West for such a small village. Many travel through this part of the country as it serves as a way point for other larger cities like Tanchico, Amador, and the westerly plains nearby. Villages are sprinkled in and around Emonds Field but, it is the largest and most fortified position outside of the major cities and therefore creates opportunities for interactions with others regularly, trades that extend far outside of traditional Mantheren farming. A woman bearing a shawl of the White Tower accompanied by a strong man in shining armor and a stoic look made there way to the wine spring one afternoon. Nori became fixated on the woman having only heard stories prior to meeting one in person, and then the woman began to channel. Something simple, along the lines of embracing the source but enough to radiate a soft glow recognizable only to Nori at the time. Emulating what she saw, Nori also reached out and touched the source, which drew attention to her immediately. The Aes Sedai and her warder whisked Nori to the side of the wine spring and began engaging in a long conversation, about where she had come from, and what she was doing here in Emonds Field. Although startling at first, the woman had a calm presence and she assured Nori that she had been given a gift, and would be offered further opportunities to improve upon that gift for the greater good of all.

In two days time Nori had said her goodbyes to her Father and Mother, leaving everything she once knew for yet another adventure. Only this time would the journey test her spirit, her dedication, her resolve, and take her further than any lightning storm or farm chore could have ever dreamed. Characteristically mischievous from spending most of her time running in league with local farm boys and doing her best to hold her own, she endured a rocky beginning the day she arrived at the White Tower and burned her old travelers cloak and farm clothes. The White Tower was strict, and rigorous attention was required to all tasks, chores must be completed in a timely manner, and for a simple farm girl this created some difficulty in Nori's life. Culture shock is a good way to describe her indoctrination into the White Tower but, some two years later, Nori has matured beyond recognition compared to when she had first arrived. Her daily routine is riddled with not only chores, but extra chores, increased study hours, and a true dedication to the White Tower.
