Backstory
Alysha Sallorien was born in Illian’s Dockside District to merchant parents who specialize in Sea Folk pottery and rare foodstuffs. She was raised to understand the value of hard work, education, and skilled negotiation. Though the Sallorien family is successful, they are not exceedingly wealthy. However, her parents ensured she had both education and discipline.
Alysha’s eyes are hazel, with more green than brown in the right light. She has a quiet intelligence and always thinks before she acts. While humor and sarcasm sparkle behind her eyes Alysha has always met challenges head-on and focused on striving for goals she deems important.
From a young age, Alysha showed an independent streak, preferring the freedom of horseback while imagining herself as a warrior saving the world. She has a keen mind – quick to both learn and question, and an ambition that goes beyond maximizing returns when trading.
The first time she touched the One Power, Alysha knew her path would never follow her family’s ships along the Illian coast. The stories of Aes Sedai had always fascinated because of the sisters great of knowledge and wielding power with purpose. Though it was difficult to think of leaving her home and family, the call of the White Tower was undeniable. With her parents’ reluctant blessing, she set her sights on Tar Valon, determined to claim her place among the women who served and shaped the world.
