Softly, through the door, you hear, 'You may enter.' It sounds like Kitiara's voice.

During daytime, bright light floods in from tall, arched windows set in the eastern wall, which offer a view of the many spires of Tar Valon as well as the eastern bank of the Erinin. On clear days, the peaks of the Dragonwall
can be seen, far away to the east. Bookshelves, tables, maps and charts are all present as the Blue sisters prepare for whatever tasks currently occupy them or as they plan business away from the Tower. On one wall hang two large portraits of Ciel Sedai and Adaire Sedai, with white ribbons of mourning tied into the latticework of the frames.

Lady Kitiara is sitting here on a stout oaken chair, looking over a pile of reports.

Kitiara glances up a moment and frowns, 'I remember when I was a novice, I would close doors when I entered a room...'

Kitiara gestures with her hand.

Nyxra closes the door in silence.

Tamrutamallinen arrives from a flash of bright white light.

Kitiara goes back to reading over reports, 'I understand you are a new addition to the Novice Book'

Tamrutamallinen blushes.

Kitiara looks at Tamrutamallinen archly.

Nyxra says 'Yes Kitiara Sedai'

Tamrutamallinen says 'I was trying to find the new novice, I am very sorry aes sedai'

Tamrutamallinen curtseys gracefully.

Tamrutamallinen says 'i will just wait outside'

Tamrutamallinen coughs loudly.

Tamrutamallinen tries to open the carveddoor, but can't.

Tamrutamallinen knocks on the carveddoor.

Tamrutamallinen says 'exit please'

Kitiara shakes her head.

Kitiara gestures with her hand.

Tamrutamallinen blushes.

The door smoothly swings open.

Kitiara gestures with her hand.

The door swings silently and shuts with a click.

Kitiara says 'Notice child how she curtsied, that is expected of all Novices and Accepted when they see an Aes Sedai.'

Nyxra says 'Like this Kitiara sedai?'

Nyxra curtseys before her.

Kitiara nods and says 'Close enough, you will get better at it.'

Nyxra smiles happily.

Kitiara slides her reports aside and looks over the new Novice, 'How are you adjusting to Tower life child?'

Nyxra says 'I have been learning the area and being instructed in what chores i must do'

Nyxra says 'I'm also trying to learn new weaves'

Kitiara watches the Novice as she listens.

Nyxra nervously moving her hands behind her back.

Kitiara says 'Oh, and what weaves have you been attempting?'

Nyxra says 'At the moment i have mainly support weaves like armor, create food, create water, heal, light cure wounds, locate object and refresh'

Nyxra says 'I'm trying to select a combat weave to learn'

Nyxra says 'I was told the best would be to have a short and a long one'

Nyxra says 'But i dont know what calls me more so i was waiting to find instruction on it'

Kitiara nods along, 'A useful list. I might add Blind, hammer of air and Ice spikes for when you are about the island practicing (leveling)

Kitiara says 'Fire weaves can be helpful one day when you leave the island, but until that day you will find ice more suitable to the temperate air of Tar Valon. '

Kitiara says 'When it comes to damaging weaves...'

Kitiara says 'There are generally 4 weaves that every Tower channeler will want some combination of. Flame strike and Hammer of air are both faster weaves, capable of weaving in between combat rounds. And then there are the longer more damaging weaves, Ice spikes and Fireball'

Kitiara says 'Ice spikes and Fireball are affected by the weather, while Flame strike and hammer of air are not'

Kitiara says 'For instance in the north, in the Blight, it is often very hot, so fireball is more helpful, though if it is raining, flame strike becomes a better option'

Nyxra says 'Understood, what about chill?'

Kitiara says 'The weave Chill?'

Nyxra says 'Yes, i was told it was important i think'

Kitiara says 'It can be useful, though I would hesitate to call it important. It will lower the defenses of your target, making it easier to hit them. And I believe it will lower their ability to swing at you. (lowers ob, db and pb I believe)'

Kitiara says 'However, as with all status weaves, blind included, it is based on your strength (level). If you are stronger than your target it has a higher chance of success, if you are weaker than it is unlikely to land.'on'

Nyxra says 'Appart of hammer of air, ice spikes and blind, and outside of combat, would you recommend me anything in particular Kitiara Sedai?'

Kitiara says 'I believe what you have with the addition of those combat weaves that should be enough. In fact you may be spreading your abilities too thin by focusing on so much.'

Nyxra says 'Yes Kitiara Sedai'

Nyxra bows again

Kitiara says 'you generally want your weaves to be practiced to superb precision (generally 90+ for combat weaves, 80s for support weaves is what I do)'

Kitiara says 'now, moving away from weaves, as you will be able to practice and learn more and more as you grow stronger and spend more time here.'

Nyxra nods in agreement.

Kitiara says 'How has exploring the island been going? I assume you have started to explore the grounds outside the walls, but still on the island?'

Nyxra says 'Yes Kitiara Sedai, i have gone to the north to test my skills agains the trees.'

Kitiara nods in understanding.

Nyxra says 'I have explored the library, the main 2 floors and a bit of the third, the city and it's people'

Kitiara says 'REDACTED ---

Nyxra curtsies.

Nyxra nods in agreement.

Nyxra bows deeply.

Kitiara says 'Any other questions child?'ask?

Nyxra says 'If you were in my position and could ask one question, knowing what you know now, what would you ask?'

Kitiara grins wryly, 'That is a clever try Novice, but not one I will entertain... this time.'

Nyxra bows deeply.

Nyxra says 'I had to try'

Kitiara chuckles politely.
