A new girl puts on novice whites after testing her ability to channel the one power with Chloro Sedai. My how the garden does seem to bloom.

Bend in the Graveled Path
The gravel covering the path is some sort of white stone with a translucent
quality that makes the path seem to glow. The trees growing in the parkland
surrounding the path are diverse, with leafy trees mingled with evergreens.
Along the edge of the path, small decorative trees, including olive, oak,
beech and conifers grow in wide pots of patterned terracotta.

Zone: White Tower Ground Floor
A chicken wanders around here, pecking at the ground.
Gwaen Treebane is standing here.
Faith the Journey Accepted is standing here.
A Tower Guard watches for signs of trouble.
A spindly oak sapling struggles to grow.

The White Tower's spire gleams softly in the first light of a new day.

Gwaen says 'Greetings Chloro Sedai. Thank you, Accepted Faith.'

Meadow has arrived from the south.

Chloro sniffs a blue rose before looking over to the girls. "Thank you Accepted, she was not too much trouble I hope?"

Meadow curtseys gracefully.

Faith grins evilly.

Faith says 'She was fine'

Meadow gives you a cup of honeyed tea.

Chloro says 'You are free to return to your studies Accepted Faith, I am eager to hear a progress report on them soon...'

Faith nods in agreement.

Faith says 'Thank you Chloro Sedai'

Faith bows deeply.

Faith leaves south. vv

Chloro smiles warmly, exotic gray eyes taking in the girl called Gwaen and the Novice. "Thank you child for the tea."

Meadow says 'As requested, Aes Sedai.'

Chloro says 'I hear girl that, you are called Gwaen, I am Chloro Sedai of the Gray Ajah, and this is Novice Meadow.'

Meadow smiles warmly.

Gwaen says 'A pleasure to meet you both.'

Gwaen smiles happily.

Chloro allows her gray fringed shawl to slip down her arms and rest against the small of her back, hanging in her crooked elbows as she folds her hands. "Tell me Gwaen, what do you seek the Aes Sedai for?"

Meadow stands coolly, hands behind her back.

Gwaen says 'I feel that I have the spark to channel the One Power, and I wish to use it to serve the Light.'

Chloro looks to novice Meadow and then back to Gwaen."How do you feel this child? Words are important in the Tower, did you mean to use a different phrase?"

Gwaen blushes.

Gwaen says 'I have touched the One Power and channeled it. I am a wilder.'

Gwaen glances downward in shame.

Meadow eyes Gwaen slightly, remaining silent.

Chloro maintains a mask of Aes Sedai calm while taking herself to the verge of embracing should it be needed. "Now, now, girl, no frowns in this Garden, not now at least. If this is true, then we must test you for ability. Do you wish to be tested?"

Gwaen says 'I want to use my abilities to serve the Tower, the Amyrlin Seat, and the Light.'

Gwaen brightens noticeably.

Gwaen says 'Yes! I wish to be tested more than anything!'

Choro says 'Novice Meadow, have you administered the rose bud exercise to another?'

Meadow says 'I have not, Aes Sedai'

Chloro says 'Well then, no time like the present to learn.'

Meadow nods at you.

Chloro moves over to a patch of green grass and lowers herself onto her knees, bottom resting on her heels and motions for the girls to follow. "The one power, can be a great aid, or as dangerous as a viper in a bassinet."

Chloro says 'If you see to aid the tower Gwaen, then you must first learn, to harness. '

Meadow lowers herself to her knees.

Gwaen kneels near Cholro Sedai.

Chloro says 'Now, two things to remember during this. The one power cannot be forced, we guide the one power as women, like water on a river. '

Chloro says 'If at any point you feel you cannot continue, you must voice it. Do you both understand?'

Gwaen says 'Yes, Aes Sedai.'

Chloro says 'Novice Meadow?'

Meadow grins cheekily, reciting 'Yes, Aes Sedai'

Chloro extends both her arms, the left to Meadow and the right to Gwaen, "Place one of your hands in mine palm up."

Meadow extends her arm to meet yours.

Gwaen extends her hand, palm up.

Chloro takes both hands, placing her thumb over the veins at the base of the hand, where the skin is thinnest. "Alright, now backs straight, and close your eyes. Attempt to empty your minds."

Gwaen closes her eyes.

Gwaen breathes deeply, but smoothly.

Chloro looks to Gwaen waiting for the Novice. "Good Gwaen, keep breathing deep and smooth. Let all your thoughts fade away until there is nothing."

Gwaen continues to breathe softly, tension leaving her face.

Meadow remains quiet, to not disturb Gwaen.

Chloro allowed herself to back of the brink of embracing, but only a little as she felt for each of the girls pulses. "You to Novice, the best way to learn is through experience."

Gwaen cracks one eye, peeking at Meadow, then closes it sharply.

Meadow closes her eyes.

Chloro nods and continues. "Picture a rosebud, closed, petals tight almost ready to bloom."

You sense Meadow connecting to the True Source.

Gwaen pictures a white rosebud nestled among some leave in her mind.

Meadow gestures with her hands, creating a yellow ball of light resembling the bud of a rose, which opens slowly as you watch.

Chloro makes note of the Novice for later and continues focusing on Gwaen. "Hold the rosebud in your mind. Gwaen, let it become as vivid as if it was here."

Gwaen inhales smoothly, focusing on the details of the rosebud.

Chloro takes herself back to the brink of embracing, then speaks smoothly, and calmly. "Feel the sun begin to warm the rose and the petals open to allow the sunlight in."

Gwaen says 'I can picture it, Chloro Sedai. A white rosebud with drops of water, petals starting to unfold.'

Chloro says 'Very good child, allow the sun to come in and warm you.'

Gwaen focuses on the image, the rosebud slowly unfurling. Warmth and light saturating it.

Gwaen imagines the rose in full bloom. Radiant.

You sense Gwaen connecting to the True Source.

Gwaen gasps in astonishment.

Chloro smiles warmly with a touch of pride. "Indeed Gwaen, it seems you can channel. Your first lesson in the one power. Often it is the hardest."

Chloro says 'Allow the one power to fade away from you, release it.'

Gwaen smiles warmly.

Gwaen sighs.

Chloro nods as she feels the power fade from the girl and brings herself back from the brink. "The one power can be addictive, here we master the weaving of it, but first you must master control of yourself."

Gwaen opens her eyes glistening with tears of joy.

Gwaen says 'Yes, Aes Sedai.'

Chloro lets go of the girls’ hands and pulls a handkerchief from the top of her corseted coat. "Here child, dry your eyes."

Gwaen takes the handkerchief from Chloro and gently dabs her eyes.

Meadow smiles at Gwaen and says 'Welcome to your new life'

Gwaen says 'Thank you, Aes Sedai.'

Chloro says 'You may keep that for now. '

Chloro with pose she places her right hand on her right thigh and raises to her feet with the grace of a high noble. "Now begins the hard work. I trust you will manage."

Gwaen rises gracefully.

Chloro motions for Meadow to rise.

Meadow comes to her feet with speed and grace.,

Chloro says 'Follow me girls.'

Chloro says 'First stop, the bookkeeper.'

Chloro says 'I hope none of your previous escapades have reached us Gwaen..'
