Divina and Giuseppe had been attempting to quell a small Seanchan uprising in the south lands of Tear when Accepted Melosa made an odd request to meet to discuss a topic of great importance to the Brown Ajah. Ever so vigilant of his duties, Gaidin Apprentice Giuseppe, stands guard and imparts some much needed tactical information on the Seanchan threat to the Green Ajah Apprentice Melosa.

Divina says 'It is not your fault Giuseppe, I fear our endeavor was flawed from the beginning.'

Divina says 'Those seanchan are quite adept at warfare it seems.'

Giuseppe says 'It is our role to get the mission accomplished, elder Warders will not let me live down a failure.'

Giuseppe says 'I will be standing guard until I am needed.'

Melosa says 'Thank you, good sir'

Giuseppe takes up a post watching the room, at call if need be.

Divina says 'Now Melosa, before we get to your request. What do you know of these Seanchan invaders.'

Melosa says 'Not so much, Divina Sedai'

Melosa says 'I have heard of them'

Divina looks at Melosa archly.

Melosa says 'But personally I have not encountered them.'

Divina says 'I find that strange dear'

Divina says 'For a Green Apprentice none the less'

Divina says 'What do you think Giuseppe?'

Melosa chuckles politely.

Divina says 'Being a man of war yourself.'

Divina says 'Speak man... cat got your tongue or did you fall asleep on the job again?'

Giuseppe says 'I can understand the Green concentrating on the incursions of the blight as they have been
far more active of late, the shadow grows ever longer, but to pay attention to what is going on in
the southwest and their... unique abilities will end up with Accepted in collars. '

Divina nods to herself, she must need reassurance.

Divina shivers uncomfortably.

Divina says 'Well there, he does speak.'

Divina says 'What say you to that Melosa'

Melosa says 'There was an interesting discussion not too long ago with Sarinda Sedai'

Divina says 'Oh'

Melosa says 'One of the topics discussed was if the Seanchan was more of a danger to the world.'

Divina says 'Are they not already?'

Melosa says 'As in'

Melosa says 'Is the Shadow more dangerous or the Seanchan'

Giuseppe says 'Sedai, if I may?'

Divina says 'Giuseppe and I were just in the south of Tear and almost were beaten haggered by a patrol of them including one of their collared channelers in tow'

Divina says 'By all means Gaidin in practice'

Melosa says 'It was Tolza Sedai that suggested that the Seanchan, at the moment, seem to be on the side of the Light'

Divina says 'This is a place of learning, it is freedom of speech here.'

Giuseppe says 'Where the dark is a steady and ever relenting presence, the invaders have a mobility both
at sea and via the air that we simply have not been able to counter. I think the issue with that
discussion is the idea that it matters which is a greater danger, both must faced as if lives will
end, because they will. '

Divina begins to scribble down some quick notes.

Giuseppe says 'Once you are dead, the wheel may have plans for you in some future age if you believe that, but you will be no more use in either fight, or to the tower. '

Divina says 'I for one to not plan to be that just yet, the wheel is not done with Divina the great.'

Divina nods to herself, she must need reassurance.

Melosa chuckles politely.

Melosa says 'Accepteds are after all not permitted that far west by the decree of the Hall, Divina Sedai'

Melosa chuckles politely.

Divina says 'That is true but that was also not always true'

Giuseppe says 'Unlike the fliers of the shadow who seem to want to scream their presence, the danger in the Raken is that they are trained, and can be very very quiet. '

Melosa says 'I have heard that the Seanchan is highly apt in warfare'

Melosa says 'Disciplined and fierce fighters'

Giuseppe says 'More than that Accepted, you have seen Ogier before around Tar Valon correct?'

Melosa says 'The Builders? Of course'

Giuseppe says 'Imagine those builders bred for war, Eight feet tall in perfectly crafted armor, charging in unison with no fear of death. '

Divina fumbles through the pages of an old worn leather bound tome...

Giuseppe says 'It seems across the sea they do not hold the same beliefs, much like how they treat those with the power completely different than we do. '

Giuseppe says 'I am not an expert on their culture, I have had little occasion to speak with one outside
of the talking of blades, but those I have met in battle embrace and love the roles that they have
been given. '

Divina says 'I had read somewhere that they breed them and use fighting pits to test their strength
and endurance against other abominations and creatures of the far west isles.'

Melosa looks morbidly fascinated, 'I wonder if it is true that they are the descendants of Artur Hawking.'

Divina nods at Melosa.

Divina says 'Now that is an age old question of much dispute.'

Giuseppe nods in agreement.

Divina says 'Well to that Melosa, we may never know the truth of such mysteries.'

Divina says 'But to other mysteries. Why have you summoned me here this day?'

Melosa blushes.

Giuseppe realizes the conversation is over and goes back to his post.

Melosa says 'One of my acquaintances sent me a curious object.'

Melosa says 'And I wonder if the Brown Ajah was aware'

Divina ears perk up at the sound of curious and object.

Melosa says 'I had asked around discreetly and it seemed to be a little known fact.'

Melosa says 'And in line with our earlier discussion, could be military implications.'

Melosa peers at Giuseppe, standing stock still at the side of the chamber.

properties'

with my sisters on the matter.'

Divina says 'Well that is interesting indeed.'

Divina says 'Well none the less. I thank you for your forthcoming and wisdom to bring this matter to the Brown.'

Melosa says 'Of course, Divina Sedai'

Divina says 'It shows conviction and foresight Melosa'

Divina says 'You have done well this day.'

Melosa blushes.

Melosa says 'Thank you, Divina Sedai'

Divina says 'I am not often impressed, nor surprised. But today you have done both.'

Divina says 'Now that the pleasantries are done. Is there anything else you seek of me this day Accepted Melosa?'

Melosa looks a little proud but quickly composes herself.

Divina says 'Indeed. I shall find a place for it right away.'

Divina bows before Melosa.

Giuseppe says 'With all due respect Divina Sedai, that sounds like basically every Brown I have ever met.

Divina says 'And you judge that on how many Browns?'

Giuseppe says 'Primarily Tolza Sedai. '

Divina says 'Well case and point.'

Giuseppe snickers softly.

Giuseppe says 'Divina Sedai, I think I should go enter my combat reports to the Gaidin, do you have further need of me at this time?'

Divina says 'Not at this time.'

Giuseppe bows before her.

Divina says 'Make your reports as required.'

Giuseppe says 'With your leave'
