You say 'Well, aside from trying to describe how I saw the Blue ajah without somehow
finding the word "causes" I think it went ok.'

You say 'We talked about the path to Accepted and beyond, including where I would see
myself in much later Tower life.'

Coshe says 'and it is the Blue ajah that you were leaning towards?'

You say 'It has been, since I was young, they always seemed... like I wanted to be one. I
think it helps that my ancestor's diary describes some of the Blue Aes Sedai quite
favourably.'

Coshe says 'ah, have you ever interacted with any of the Blue Ajah'

You say 'Very few, I'm afraid, they're nearly always away from the Tower proper it seems.'


Coshe says 'ah, I have spent the better part of an hour discussing a task with one of them
that lets just say... was not up to snuff'

Coshe says 'as well as arguing my points '

You say 'Will you be joining me at the sink?'

You giggle.

Coshe snickers softly.

Coshe says 'Well I tend to be almost as stubborn as them'

Coshe says 'but I have learned to walk well along the line'

You say 'I'm sure they see spirit as a positive, even if you argue in the moment.'

Coshe says 'I know you have met a number of other Sedai throughout your journey'

You say 'I have.'

Coshe says 'I can tell you that most of the blue ajah member I have met are very tough,
very secretive and can be very difficult to discuss motivations with'

Coshe says 'That is not to say it is not valuable'

You say 'that I can believe.'

Coshe says 'it is more of a heads up as to what you might be walking into'

Coshe says 'You must always have your t's crossed and i's dotted'

Coshe says 'and they are not as forgiving as some'

You say 'And Mistress Laras and I are getting along better these days, now that I stack
the dishes the way she likes on the drainer.'

Coshe says 'If I can make a suggestion, I know you may not have a lot of experience when
it comes to self defense, if given the opportunity spar with Sarinda Sedai, she has a lot
to teach those willing to learn'

You say 'I think it's going to be a next obvious step. Though I worry I may unduly hurt
someone.'

Coshe says 'That is a fair worry, luckily there are quite a few amazing Yellow Ajah
members in the tower to help'

Coshe says 'So, what motivates you?'

You say 'Well, I was raised by a family with long ties to the wisdoms and other local
healers, so I think it's still in us as a family to serve.'

Coshe nods slowly, listening.

You say 'I was never much for healing, or herbs, though.'

You say 'I'd always be out and around, big fan of trees and outdoor spaces.'

You say 'but as I grew up and started to see the other things in the world... I wanted to
do more than be a wisdom's apprentice or midwife'

Coshe says 'If I may, would you be ok if I took the approach of some blue ajah members in
this discussion?'

You say 'Please do... '

Yve braces herself.

Coshe says 'Understood, please go on'

You say 'A wisdom is more than a healer, they meddle in all kinds of local things, if you
look at it. The womens circles run many villages and try to keep order.'

Coshe nods slowly, listening to the Novice.

You say 'With no disrespect for my prior teachers, they are like a little tower in a small
world all of their own, especially in places like the Two Rivers where people barely
travel.'

Coshe watches Yve, emotionless.

You say 'It's probably selfish of me to want more, but I wanted to travel, take my gift
and do something with it.'

You say 'I started fighting local bandits, protecting people, I even helped to capture
Baerlon one time with a team of people including an Aes Sedai.'

You say 'which is how I came to be here.'

Coshe nods slowly.

Coshe says 'a noble thing bringing Baerlon into the light.'

You say 'It was quite the experience.'

Coshe says 'So, if I am understanding this correctly, what motivates you is wanting the
serve people, and traveling to serve people'

You say 'you could distill it to that.'

Coshe says 'What does the blue ajah do?'

Coshe says 'what is their motivation'

You say 'I think I would say doing what is right.'

Coshe says 'hmm in a way maybe'

You say 'Justice and the fighting in corners that maybe need a little help to get where
they are going.'

Coshe says 'the Blue Ajah involve themselves in righteous causes, and fighting injustice'

Coshe says 'You must be vigilant to those things if that is the path you intend to travel'

You nod in agreement.

You say 'I will'

Coshe says 'One of the first things I was asked when I requested to learn from the Blue
Ajah was... find examples of injustice in the world and how would I handle them'

You nod in agreement.

Coshe says 'You are still very new to learning what the Blue Ajah may want'

Coshe says 'and it would not be expected for you to know that'

You say 'I realise I have a way to go before even apprenticeship, but the question keeps
coming up.'

Coshe says 'but they expect... I would say more demand thoroughness, well thought out
answers, and the ability to defend those answers articulately and well.'

Coshe says 'That is a bit away for you in the future but... definitely something to think
about'

You say 'Well, if you are expected to work on your own for something I suppose it makes
sense to make sure you aren't acting rashly.'

Coshe says 'Remember you are a member of the white tower you are not alone'

Coshe says 'I will be there to help as will anyone else if you ask'

You say 'Thank you, I certainly feel better for knowing I can just pester you for
answers.'

Coshe smiles happily.

Coshe says 'I am always willing to help someone who wants to learn'

You say 'I only have one task you could help with at the moment...'

You say 'Alison Sedai has asked me to quiz other novices and maybe Accepteds about the
blind weave.'

Coshe says 'and what would you like me to do?'

You say 'It's one I use regularly, I think she wants to show me how there is always more to
learn, even on familiar territory, and of course that those things can influence your
choices.'

Coshe nods slowly.

You say 'So, if you could briefly describe the way you use it, most frequent situations.'

Coshe says 'Sure'

Coshe says 'I tend to use it mostly when dealing with large groups of less than
intelligent foes (NPC MOBS)'

Coshe says 'this allows me to engage a single target without worrying about the other
joining in to attack me preventing me from being able to dodge attacks'

Coshe says 'it is much easier to avoid a single target than multiple'

Yve gets out a notebook and starts noting things down.

Coshe says 'there is the rare occasion when I will use it to defend myself in a fight
against darkspawn'

Coshe says 'but it is very situational'

Sarinda says 'If it pleases the Light, if either of you are open to a friendly spar later,
I will be awake for some time.'

Coshe looks at Yve, with a little nudge.

take this chance if I get it.'

Sarinda smiles warmly.

You say 'If you are free once we are done with our duties, I will look for you, Sarinda

Coshe says 'Apologies Sarinda Sedai, I would love to but I have a few more tasks for
Chloro Sedai to finish before I retire for the night'

Sarinda says 'It is my wish that all of our initiates would have at least some training in
self-defense, especially in case you are ever attacked by a channeler. A male channeler
and damane were both awake earlier tonight.'

Sarinda nods in agreement.

You say 'He came to the Tower and started yelling.'

Amilesa says 'it is a weave of small strands of air, earth, and fire. Largely in elements
aligned to men rather than women.'

You chuckle politely.

Amilesa says 'Ethically speaking, I consider it a weapon and restrained by the Oaths.'

You emote: Yve starts taking notes again.

Amilesa says 'Personally speaking, I use it quite often with the aid of a chicken to count
aggro pulses.'

Coshe has entered the game.

Amilesa says 'I will typically blind my target, even when alone, in order to get its
reduction in defenses, making it easier for my attacks to hit where I want them to.'

You say 'I have seen others do that.'

You say 'I do that to every nasty that looks at me funny, for the same reasons.'

Amilesa says 'The weave only lasts 3 tics, so there are sometimes rounds of wearing a
large group down in this manner. And you must always be aware of aggressive mobs
wandering in that are not blind.'

You nod in agreement.

You say 'Even the forest where we gather wood has a few wandering surprises.'

Amilesa says 'On a rare occassion I will remain Embraced through a tic in order to tie the
Blind weave, to keep it in effect longer.'

You say 'that is not a thing I've heard of people doing often. Tying weaves.'

An overworked, grumbling scribe bustles into the room, scowling darkly.

The scribe says 'Sarinda Sedai requests your presence in the Red Ajah's chambers, evee.'

Finishing her errand, the scribe turns on her heel and scurries back the way she came.

Evee says 'busy day'

Amilesa holds her hand to her mouth and says 'Oooo.'

Vistra snickers softly.

Coshe says 'That is always nerve wracking'

Amilesa says 'Though I had gotten excited, I thought she wanted to speak to me.'

You say 'I had quite a long talk with Evee about the timings of things.'

Amilesa says 'Ah, that you can start while not engaged, and finish while engaged.'

You say 'Quaffing came up a lot, and the consensus is that it's great for bandits and
smugglers, not always the best gambit versus more competent minions of the dark.'

Amilesa says 'A good strategy there is to have someone who can buff all the mobs, while
you blind each mob, then flee and get back on one.'

Coshe nods at Amilesa.

You say 'We were wondering if, in the case where you are blinded while casting, what
happens to the weave you are making?'

Amilesa says 'It should still land.'

Amilesa says 'But I have not see any research to the fact.'

You say 'Even a targetted weave?'

Amilesa says 'Do you have blind? We can try it out east.'

You say 'So a retaliatory flamestrike on an engaged target should still hit?'

Coshe says 'if you are engaged it will land on the target you are engaged with'

Coshe says 'you cannot target another target at that point'

Amilesa says 'if you started it before you went blind, it would still hit the target was
the question I thought I was answering.'

You nod in agreement.

Coshe says 'Yes I believe it should Amilesa'

Amilesa says 'No, as long as it starts before you are blind, is how I see it.'

Amilesa says 'But I'm not 100% sure I am right. That's just how I think it is.'

You say 'I guess this is why we are the students.'

You chuckle politely.

Amilesa says 'Great job, that went so smoothely.'

Coshe says 'awesome'

Vistra nods in agreement.

Coshe explodes with whistles and cheers.

Coshe says 'we all learned something today!'

Vistra says 'The White Ajah would be proud.'

Amilesa says 'I really appreciate hearing those words of encouragement. Thank you.'

Amilesa says 'Oh...you meant the Novice...'

Amilesa slinks into a nearby couch.

Yve remembers that she's supposed to be writing notes and scribbles frantically
in her notebook.

Coshe says 'I believe it would be appreciated on both sides'

Vistra says 'I think the white Ajah would have been proud that we went and tested the
theory and found the answer logically.'

Coshe nods at Vistra.

You say 'In a controlled fashion also.'

Vistra says 'You have an appointment with Mady?'

Coshe says 'hmm although I am running low on time so it will have to be another time'
