Novice Jannelia is summoned to Callesa Sedai's Study after a short journey together and they discuss briefly some of the currently studied topics of Jannelia. It shines through, that in spite of all the progress, she needs to broaden her horizons and study also things that have nothing to do with her past.

Jannelia curtseys before Callesa.

Callesa gestures at the door with her hand.

The door silently swings shut and lock with a soft *click*.

Jannelia smooths her dress.

Callesa says 'I was impressed easier by your ease with the Strength weave, it was some solid work for a
Novice, just like your Ice Spikes'

Jannelia smiles happily.

Jannelia says 'Thank you Callesa Sedai.'

Callesa says 'But tell me, what have you been reading recently?'

Callesa peers closely at Jennelia, trying to figure her out.

Jannelia says 'Most recently I have been reading about Stedding.'

Callesa nods briefly.

Callesa says 'Steddings in general or one in particular?'

Jannelia says 'In general. The fact that there are locations that prevent contact with the One
Power has always facinated me.'

Callesa arches an eyebrow.

Callesa says 'What a particular interest for a novice. One would guess such a phenomenon would be rather
unsettling than fascinating.'

Jannelia says 'My original interest stemmed from my upbringing with the one power.'

Jannelia says 'I was taught that it was .. evil.'

Callesa nods at Jannelia.

Jannelia says 'so when I found I could touch the one power I was horified.'

Callesa says 'You are neither the first one, nor the last. The transition to the Tower life and values
can be a challenge from girls from Amador, Tear, or more recently Seanchan.'

Jannelia nods at Callesa.

Callesa says 'But tell me about some more recent subject of study of yours. Something you knew nothing or
very little about until you came here.'

Jannelia says 'I was only passing aware of the ability of the one power to heal. I have cently been
reading on how this notion of mine barely scratches the surface.'

Callesa smiles brightly.

Callesa says 'Oh, that's a wonderful interest. And as I've seen, you've already started learning how to
support others in battle.'

Jannelia says 'The abilities of members of the Yellow Ajah to cure seamingly mortal wounds and
sickness is amazing.'

Callesa nods at Jannelia.

Callesa says 'I've always admired the Yellow Ajah, even though my path lead to the Brown in the end.'

Jannelia smiles happily.

Callesa says 'Tell me, what are some limitations of Healing with the One Power?'

Jannelia says 'Much of what the one power achieves appears to be , well to consume energy from the
person being healed.'

Callesa nods slowly.

Callesa says 'Yes, this can be a limiting factor. What else?'

Jannelia says 'Many patients remark on substantial hunger after a healing.'

Callesa nods in agreement.

Jannelia says 'There doesn't seem to be anything that can really be done for mental illness with the one power.'

Jannelia says 'The mind being one of the most complex parts of the body this makes some sense.'

Callesa says 'Well, some mental illnesses have an organic component. And the Yellow Ajah is always trying
to expand their knowledge of this area.'

Callesa nods at Jannelia.

Callesa says 'What certainly cannot be Healed?'

Jannelia says 'Well you can't heal the dead, nor can you repair someon'e connection to the one Power.'

Callesa nods at Jannelia.

Callesa says 'What situations may also prevent you from Healing someone?'

Jannelia ponders life, the universe, and everything.

Jannelia says 'I am sorry Callesa Sedai, I can't think of another .'

Callesa says 'And how about your Steddings?'

Callesa grins at Jannelia.

Jannelia smiles happily.

Callesa says: 'You won't Heal someone in a Stedding, nor in Far Madding, nor near one of the ter'angreals
preventing the use of Saidar, which you will surely encounter on your travels, if you earn your ring.'

Jannelia nods at Callesa.

Callesa says 'And one more thing can prevent you from Healing someone, and your upbringing can surely
give you a clue.'

Callesa peers closely at Jannelia, trying to figure her out.

Jannelia says 'Well you should never heal anyone who doesn't want you to do so.'

Callesa nods in agreement.

Callesa says 'Exactly.'

Jannelia says 'I had read about other artifacts in the world preventing some weaves from working.'

Callesa says 'Earlier today, we used Strength on each other without asking, as we reasonably assumed the
other one would agree and perhaps even ask for such an assistance. But with many others, we should
not do so.'

Callesa nods at Jannelia.

Jannelia nods in agreement.

Jannelia says 'Sorry, I took my lead from you in that regard.'

Jannelia says 'I apologize if you would have rather I had asked.'

Callesa says 'There are places, that won't permit you to create Ice Spikes and other ice weaves, others
Fire,... Some will prevent channeling completely'

Callesa nods at Jannelia.

Jannelia nods at you.

Callesa says 'You assumed correctly in that situation and I wouldn't insist on the etiquette just for
insisting on the etiquette. But some other people would kill you for channeling on them. And again,
being dead would prevent you from Healing others as well.'

Jannelia smiles at you.

Jannelia says 'point takes Callesa Sedai'

Jannelia coughs loudly.

Jannelia says 'Taken rather.'

Callesa says 'Knowledge are many pieces of puzzle that fit together. You seem to be integrating the
pieces well. But I am still missing some elements in your studies.'

Callesa ponders life, the universe, and everything.

Callesa says 'Have you been studying history?'

Jannelia says 'Some, but it may be one of my bigger weaknesses'

Callesa nods at Jannelia.

Callesa says 'And also, some of your study subjects have been heavily affected by your origins. While it
is understandable of course, and we all draw from the previous experience, you are supposed to put
your past aside. At least if you hope to gain the ring and perhaps one day the Shawl.'

Jannelia nods at Callesa.

Callesa says 'I suggest you studied a historical subject that has nothing to do with Amadicia, Children
of the Light, or Stedding. We can talk about it the next time we meet.'

Callesa smile at Jannelia.

Jannelia says 'I have been working to overcome my past.'

Callesa nods at Jannelia.

Jannelia nods at you.

Jannelia says 'I will Callesa Sedai'

Callesa says 'Then don't let it drag your studies in a particular direction. You are to broaden your horizons!'

Jannelia says 'I thank you for taking the time to talk with me.'

Callesa says 'Unless you have any questions, I'll leave you to your chores.'

Jannelia smiles at Callesa.

Callesa says 'Oh, my pleasure. Teaching is one of the missions of the Brown Ajah afterall'
