Unleashed, A rescued Damane Finds a Home.

[Lona]

After being rescued from the leash of a Sul'dam, young Lona finds her way to the tower and speaks with an elder sister in brown. Learning to trust the Aes Sedai she puts on whites to hopefully start the next chapter of her life.

Tower Square
This side of the square is the southern section of the Tower Square.
In the center is the walled off White Tower. To the south a large
boulevard opens up leading to the Southharbor. To the north you see
the southern gate of the Tower grounds. The square continues east
and west.

Divina has arrived from the north.

Lona looks around, eyes darting as, she freezes feeling someone weaving.

Lona shakes slightly looking at more people gathering and moves back towards one of the benches. Her eyes seemed to come back to the Aes sedai, after every quick shifted dart.

Divina looks at Lona.

Aelrena has arrived from the north.

Aelrena blinks her eyes innocently.

Divina says 'So child tell me, have you journeyed far and wide for a reason?'

Aelrena greets Divina with a light kiss on her cheek.

Aelrena leaves west. <<

Lona nods but keeps a wary eye on the others, "Very far, for a long time. Are you Aes Sedai?"

Divina says 'Of that I am sure I am dear.'

Divina says 'Is there perhaps something that I can help you find?'

Lona sighs somewhat in relief as a tear, trickles down her right cheek. 'Then I have made it, I won’t go back. I won't ever go back." Tilts her head to the right slight showing the collar marks on her neck.

Divina stares dreamily at you, completely lost in your eyes.

Divina eyes herself over, questioning her very being.

Divina ponders life, the universe, and everything.

Divina says 'Oh my dear. Whatever have you been through?'

Lona says 'Please, I can't control it, and if I.... If I can't control it they will try to find me again.'

Divina looks at you.

Lona shakes slightly from fear and anxiety then slightly relaxes. "I can't remember who I was, or who my family is, all i can feel is..." Raises her hand and rubs her throat slightly to make sure the collar isn't there.

Divina comforts you.

Divina says 'It is fortunate that you have survived this long child. '

Divina says 'I get the sense that you have a strong will and conviction about you to live.'

Divina says 'Have you always felt this way of being out of control?'

Lona nods and pulls a herb out of her pouch handing to the woman in brown. "I could not let them find this; I could not let them take another with it. The others were not so lucky."

Divina gestures briefly to her eyes, which somehow appear more focused than before.

Divina examines the packet more closely than previous inspection.

Divina says 'A dangerous item this can be to those with nefarious motives.'

Lona closes her eyes a moment forcing herself not the shake and speak a little more clearly. " IT is how they are searching for those who can channel. I did not know I could. I remember being taken, but the beatings, dear creator, the beatings. I cannot remember my family, or where I am from."

Divina says 'I understand dear. You are not the first to find yourself in such circumstances nor will you be far from the last.'

Divina says 'Many a young girl has discovered that she has the ability to become more than she was, more then she could ever have hoped to be.'

Divina says 'I am sorry that you have been taken from your family but I get the sense that your life has taken a turn in a different direction.'

Lona nods and reaches out with an unsteady hand lightly grasping the Aes Sedai's forearm. "I came here, because a man in a cloak that blends in with his surroundings paid passage for me. He said to seek out the Aes Sedai. I am glad I have found you; they have taken so many of us. If it had not been for the cart exploding, I would not be here."

Divina says 'I pose the question to you dear if you are as strong in will as I believe you to be. Do you have the courage to take that last step now that you have already taken the first step to make your way to Tar Valon?'

Lona looks to the Aes Sedai, her eyes stopping at the womans mouth not meeting her gaze. "I have no were else to go, and if what the man said is true, I have no other place to teach me to control what I have. He asked for me to ask a sister to put on whites? If that makes sense."

Divina says 'In that case, let us see about you child'

Divina beckons you to follow her.

Lona nods and pulls her cloak close as she follows the Aes Sedai.

Divina looks at you.

Divina leaves north. ^^

In the Hallway
This gray stone hallway is plain looking, although its floor tiles of red
and green liven up the area. Two tapestries of flowered trees and
stout-beaked birds hang on the wall, so colorful they seem unlikely to be
real. An unmarked wooden door lies between the tapestries.

Lona closes her eyes and nods. "I will never go back to where i have come from. I do not know what is destine for me, but I will never go back."

Divina says 'Then so shall it be so. The wheel turns as the wheel wills.'

Divina opens the woodendoor.

The Mistress of Novices' Study
This is a compact, dark-paneled room full of plain sturdy furnishings that
have been used by generations of women who have held this office. The desk
near the center of the room is plainly made and heavily worn through years
of use. A large mirror with flaking gilt hangs from one of the walls. Used
for switching disobedient initiates, as well as Aes Sedai who do penance, a
bench-like contraption that has a padded leather cushion to kneel on, as
well as a padded leather area to lean on. A selection of switches, ranging
from a slender willow switch to a slipper lie on a table nearby.

Lona looks about the room, noticing the rack and the lack of leashes, was she finally free?

Divina says 'Sister, I have found another stray lost to the wheel. Perhaps she will have the potential to change the world or flounder out to nothingness like so many before.'

Divina says 'What is to become of her, time shall tell but for now I will leave her in your diligent care.'

Divina says 'Sheriam Sedai, please add Lona to the Book of Novices.'

Lona shakes visibly seeing the Aes Sedai channel and uses every bit of control she can not to embrace and counter weave.

Divina says 'Which speaking of, we can work on that right now'

Divina says 'You will learn to master your fears child. There is nothing in these walls to fear now. Know that you are safe in a place with people who know the pain of loss and adversity.'
