Yukino steps back, making sure none gets on her shoes.

Eglantine is fascinated watching everything come pouring out.

Lexiane lets out a deep sigh of satisfaction.

Lexiane says 'I have read that the Aiel scrub themselves with stones from a sweat tent.'

Lexiane says 'It seemed an efficient way to clean myself without having to stop reading this discourse on the Philosophy of Place.'

Eglantine says 'what?'

Lexiane says 'However, I had no sweat tent to spend time in.'

Lexiane says 'Also it would likely harm the book.'

Eglantine nods in agreement.

Lexiane says 'So instead I weaved Earth to scrub my skin.'

Yukino says 'Ow, that sounds painful'

Lexiane says 'Instead I rained dirt on myself for a little while.'

Lexiane says 'When I tried to clean the dirt from ears, well, this is how I ended up.'

Lexiane says 'The Aiel swear by it!'

Lexiane says 'Then the scraping removes it.'

Yukino says 'The Aiel use actual stones, not earth weaves'

Lexiane says 'I would quite like to visit one, I think.'

Lexiane says 'Yes, yes, well, all ideas can be refined.'

Eglantine says 'I have never met an Aiel. I understand they are fearsome warriors from the book i put away in the library'

Lexiane nods at Eglantine.

Lexiane says 'Neither have I!'

Lexiane says 'But I grew up with tales of black-veiled Aiel!'

Yukino says 'I don't know if I've met one, but read plenty about them'

Lexiane shivers at the thought.

Eglantine nods in agreement.

Lexiane says 'Do you like to read, novice?'

Lexiane says 'My name is Lexiane, by the way.'

Lexiane says 'I am an Accepted.'

Yukino says 'I do, yes. My name is Yukino, good to meet you Accepted Lexiane'

Yukino says 'So far good, though slow. And no, I have not. I'm not sure what I wish to pursue, aside from the Red'

Lexiane says 'Ah, a novice who wishes to be a Red!'

Yukino says 'no no'

Eglantine says 'are you hoping to shawl the White Lexiane?'

Lexiane nods at Eglantine.

Lexiane says 'I am apprenticed to the White Ajah'

Yukino says 'I'm sure, but I want to be able to have a warder eventually'

Lexiane says 'Yes, I like the idea of a warder as well. Should I have to travel to a library, it would be convenient to have someone around to handle the day to day tasks.'

Eglantine says 'and carry all the books?'

Eglantine grins evilly.

Lexiane says 'Yes, when necessary, though I am not so attached to the books as others.'

Lexiane says 'What about you, Eglantine?'

Lexiane says 'Things are going well?'

Eglantine says 'they are thank you. I have only recently been raised'

Eglantine says 'so just happy to see the world again'

Lexiane nods her shaved head vigorously.

Eglantine says 'I need to knuckle down though now I have had a break'

Aelarien watches the group her eyes sharp

Lexiane says 'And what is worse, lit my hair on fire!'

Lexiane says 'So I chopped of half of my hair in an attempt to save it.'

Lexiane says 'But I found that having half a head of hair was much worse than no hair at all.'

Aelarien taps her lips slowly, her face serious

Eglantine says 'was it the front half?'

Eglantine giggles.

Eglantine says 'sorry'

Lexiane says 'Left half!'

Lexiane runs a hand over her bald head.

Lexiane says 'You see, the lesson here is less on weaving the One Power responsibly.'

Lexiane says 'The Aes Sedai will teach you that'

Lexiane says 'And mistakes do happen, despite our best efforts.'

Lexiane says 'The lesson is about letting go of who you were before, novice.'

Yukino says 'I see. Well at least it wasn't you who did the weaves.'

Lexiane says 'Having half a head of hair was traumatic! The loss was too much, I could not let go'

Eglantine nods in agreement.

Lexiane says 'So I spent a month or two looking the fool'

Lexiane says 'With hair down to my waist on one side, and at the scalp on the other.'

Lexiane says 'My attachment to my previous self, the one that had a full set of beautiful hair, was causing me my pain.'

Yukino struggles not to laugh

Aelarien stops resting, and clambers on her feet.

Lexiane says 'Once I let that version of me go and shaved my head, I was able to progress.'

Eglantine says 'I can see why you are apprenticed to the White'

Lexiane smiles happily.

Lexiane says 'It is important to look for lessons when you are shaving your head!'

Lexiane says 'Also, having no hair is very convenient.'

Lexiane says 'I never have to brush it, do not need to worry about drying it, styling it, managing the ends'

Lexiane nods at Eglantine.

The clouds disappear.

Lexiane says 'Eglantine understands!'

Yukino says 'I suppose, but that's part of the balance.'

Eglantine says 'I had to keep it short when I was in my Pa's workshop'

Lexiane says 'If you'd like a hand cutting yours off, Eglantine, I am a practiced hand now.'

Lexiane says 'What balance do you mean, Yukino?'

Yukino says 'Now that makes sense Eglantine'

Aelarien looks Eglantine up and down

Eglantine says 'IF I do, you will be the first person I ask, Lexiane'

Yukino says 'Long hair is a nice thing to have, but it has those costs mentioned, balance as all things should be'

Aelarien whispers "i feel it would suit her...perhaps"

Aelarien ponders, her look far off for a moment

Aelarien says 'Children, while i do find this discussion fascinating, and the lesson is one hard learned but learned well'
