The carveddoor is opened from the other side.

Solarium of the Yellow Ajah
Tall, arched windows offer a view of the island of Tar Valon and the
confluence of the river Erinin beyond Southharbor, as the river starts on
its journey to Tear. Pots and plants dot the balcony outside the windows.
Chairs have been drawn up near the windows and vases containing bouquets of
of yellow flowers have been placed nearby. Several desks and clusters of
chairs have been distributed around the room, allowing for informal
discussion of Yellow Sisters' research and studies.
[ obvious exits: N ]
Sumptuously upholstered, a gold brocade chaise lounge with gilded legs rests nearby.
A large desk made of fine, thick wood stands across the room from here.
A chair made of red oak rests next to the table. [2]
Penzei Perets is sitting here on a chaise lounge.
A Yellow Sister glides past.
A silver-haired Aes Sedai sits here, reading.
Corele Hovian stands here with concern in her eyes.

Isela curtseys before Penzei.

Penzei gestures at the door with her hand.

The door silently swings shut and lock with a soft *click*.

Penzei says 'Greetings, Dear how may I help you ?'

Isela says 'Greetings Penzei Sedai'

Penzei reclines luxuriously on the chaise lounger awaiting a response.

Isela says 'I was on my way to my rooms for the evening, and I experienced a strange rush of colors in
my head. I figured the Yellow Ajah may be able to help!'

Penzei leans forward abruptly, suddenly interested.

Isela says 'I suspect it may be something to do with ta'veren. I was looking over some class logs from
Gesin Sedai on the topic.'

Penzei says 'Colors you say ?'

Isela says 'But I'd love your input.'

Isela nods at Penzei.

Penzei says 'Were you in a rush or just coming down off some exhausting activity ?'

Isela gestures to a chair and asks, 'May I?'

Penzei says 'Ofcourse, Dear, please sit'

Isela sits down on a stout oaken chair.

Isela smiles at Penzei.

Isela says 'I did ride hard from Fal Dara, Aes Sedai'

Penzei says 'Oh and what were you partaking in before your ride back to the Tower'

Penzei clambers to her feet.

Isela says 'I was aiding the Shienarans in the defense of the Borderlands this day.'

Isela says 'It was quite a strange experience, playing this role.'

Isela looks off in the distance at nothing in particular.

Isela says 'When my father took me to Shienar as a teenager, I was running food and water to the
outposts.'

Penzei walks over to you examining you closely, staring deep into your eyes, placing her hand over
them to shield them from the light momentarily before quickly removing her hand and judging the
reaction of your pupils.

Isela blinks.

Penzei starts poking and prodding you unexpectedly in different spots around your head and neck.

Penzei says 'Anything Uncomfortable ?'

Penzei looks at Isela.

Isela says 'Nothing too out of the ordinary, I'm afraid.'

Penzei places her hand on her chin in contemplation.

Isela sits straighter and silently, hands folded in her lap.

Penzei says 'Could just be nerves, when you spend alot of time north of Fal Dara you tend to have
nervous reactions once you are back in the safety of the Tower.'

Isela lowers her head in thought a moment, briefly closing her eyes.

Isela's eyes pop back open.

Penzei says 'And from what I've heard you've spent quite a bit of time in the borderlands'

Isela says 'It is a bit of an adjustment, to be sure...'

Penzei glides back over to the lounger, plopping back down.

Penzei sits down on a chaise lounge.

Isela says 'but I have been returning to the Tower after battles, as is prescribed in the Handbook.'

Isela says 'so I am not sure why this happened this particular time.'

Penzei says 'Maybe, take some time researching in the library for a few days, all this excitement
and travel may be getting to you'

Penzei says 'Tell me Isela, have you begun an apprenticeship ?'

Isela says 'I have applied, but am awaiting an answer from the Red.'

Penzei says 'Ahhh'

Isela shows the slightest hint of a frown.

Penzei says 'I figured as much, your quite a powerful with the One Power'

Penzei says 'And you have the attitude necessary for the Red Ajah'

Penzei nods agreeing with herself.

Isela's eyes perk up a little at that.

Isela says 'How do you feel about the Red Sisters, Penzei Sedai?'

Isela sits back in her chair, legs crossed neatly.

Penzei says 'They are Sister as any other, a very important one at that. Often times they are the
only thing that prevents another breaking of the world in their hunts to keep the Male Channelers
under control.'

Isela senses Penzei connecting to the True Source.

Isela grumbles under her breath 'and female channelers...'

Penzei arches her gaze, looking out from the side of her eyes.

Penzei says 'Yes there are some female channelers that have chosen to abandon the light'

Isela says 'Do you as a Yellow know of anything that could bring Cera back to the Light, Penzei Sedai?'

Isela suddenly shows a sorrowful look.

Penzei says 'Barring some sort of breakthrough... I am unsure of her past, but the Dark One's grip
on these dark friends has proven to be quite strong once settled in to the point she has come too'

Isela frowns.

Penzei says 'Plainly said, the chances are small she will willingly turn herself in to the light'

Isela says 'I have read that Light-fearing folk can be turned to the Dark against their will and I was
hoping that was the case for Cera.'

Isela says 'if that's the case, it stands to reason there should be a way to turn them back.'

Penzei says 'I don't disagree with your statement, however, for Channelers pledged to the dark
one... he has a special place for them and will fight hard to keep them where he wants them. I have
seen this before unfortunately.'

Isela tilts her head in thought.

Isela says 'Will you share your previous experience with me? As a potential Red apprentice, I'm
fascinated with how these darkfriends operate.'

Isela says 'I feel like the more I know about them, the better prepared I can be to stand against
them.'

Penzei furrows her brow in comtemplation for a moment.

Penzei says 'I suppose it shant make to much of a difference telling you...'

Isela leans forward slightly, listening.

Penzei says 'It was decades ago at this point, when I was a fresh Tower Accepted ready to face the
challenges of this world'

Penzei says 'I came up with Tolza Sedai and another...'

Penzei says 'Lisennet '

Isela narrows her eyes and adopts a studious look.

Penzei says 'She infact was a VERY powerful channeler, while I am no shab myself... Lisennet was
definitely strong in the One Power, she was also pledged to the Red Ajah'

Isela's eyes widen in shock.

Isela says 'I haven't learned of her at all.'

Penzei says 'She could often be found on the front lines fighting the shadow spawn, fighting
outnumbered and out armed, taking swaths of Trollocs with her weaves'

Isela arches an eyebrow.

Isela says 'but why would someone pledged to the Shadow do that?'

Penzei says 'I've no clue...'

Penzei says 'So as the story goes...'

Penzei says 'We were departing on a mission of the utmost importance, there was a powerful minion of
the Dark One that if not dealt with could have started the next full blown war '

Penzei says 'He was creating monstrosities that made Trollocs seem... mild'

Isela leans back again, still listening intently.

Penzei says 'Our job was simple...'

Penzei says 'Stop him'

Penzei says 'We departed, lead by the Eldrenia Sedai with a formidable task force which contained
multiple Aes Sedai, Gaidin and allies of the Light.'

Penzei says 'Lisennet was with the force'

Penzei says 'so was I...'

Isela quietly takes out a small book and jots some notes.

Penzei says 'We found him, holed up in a cave north of the Ruined Keep'

Penzei says 'And through some trouble, we managed to defeat him'

Penzei says 'And thats when the chaos began, we were all wounded and beaten up, that's when Lisennet
turned on us and the forces of dark struck'

Penzei says 'It was a trap'

Isela gasps in astonishment.

Penzei says 'By the skin of my teeth I was able to drag Eldrenia Sedai screaming with rage from the
trap, barely escaping with our lives. '

Penzei says 'Many perished that day...'

Isela shakes her head slowly, frowning.

Penzei says 'While the objective was completed, we lost one of the brightest students the Tower had
ever known to darkness'

Isela says 'A horrible betrayal.'

Penzei says 'And thus she has never returned, intent on being the anathema towards the Aes Sedai.'

Isela says 'No one knows where she went?'

Penzei says 'Every so often she lurks about in the shadows of the north, I rarely catch a glimpse of
her before she vanishes again'

Penzei says 'So her current whereabouts are unknown, much like that of Cera'

Isela says 'Hopefully the Dark One took her and that's the end of it.'

Isela wipes her hands dismissively.

Isela's look softens.

Penzei says 'Are you familiar with the a cour'souvra ?'

Isela says 'I have held one, oddly enough. We dispatched a dreadlord and it was on his corpse once.'

Penzei says 'Ahh, yes, I have also witnessed such an event'

Penzei says 'Many times for Channelers, the Dark One uses the mindtrap to ensure their continued
service'

Isela says 'I still have much to learn about them, though. It's my understanding that they bind you to
the Dark One or to another?'

Penzei says 'Imagine for a moment'

Penzei says 'That the very thread of your being could be trapped into an object, and should that
object come to harm or be destroyed, you will suffer instantaneous madness as your thread can be
played like a fiddle to make you do whatever the Dark One wants you to do. '

Isela shivers uncomfortably.

Penzei says 'You become a soulless puppet of the damned'

Isela says 'I suppose the Dark One has the means of securing his channelers once they're sworn, then.'

Isela says 'Do you know of such a way to remove... err, release? a cour'souvra?'

Penzei says 'By all accounts, no'

Penzei says 'As we do not quite understand them, they seem to be some type of ter'angreal'

Isela says 'Then I guess I have to officially give up hope for Cera. Surely she is bound by a
cour'souvra.'

Isela says 'If I find any of these objects, I'll return them to you for study, Penzei Sedai'

Penzei says 'They react poorly to the One Power and seem to be more attuned to what was once known
as the True Power. But if you do manage to find another one I would like to examine it yes...'

Isela strokes her chin thoughtfully.

Isela says 'I will do some research on this True Power of which you speak. If the Red are called to be
a shield against the abuse of the Power, that is surely included in some fashion.'

Penzei says 'You may find such things in the archives of the Red Ajah, do ask Sarinda Sedai then
next you see her'

Isela nods in agreement.

Penzei says 'However be warned we know the True Power is directly connected to the Dark One'

Isela says 'I will tread carefully and ask Sarinda Sedai's guidance first.'

Isela says 'I fear I must retire now, Penzei Sedai. Thank you for teaching me today. May I have leave
to go?'

Penzei says 'Yes, Dear, you are dismissed, Thank you for your time.'

Isela senses Penzei connecting to the True Source.

Isela stands up.

Isela curtseys to her audience.

Penzei gestures with her hand.

The door smoothly swings open.
