Summary: Lexiane was tasked by Chloro Sedai with meeting with one of four Accepteds to discuss what it meant to be an Accepted. Lexiane found Prya in the Warder's yard with Chloro Sedai and asked to interview her. They then had tea and cakes in the Kitchens where Prya shared her wisdom.

Prya says 'Hello Lexiane'

Chloro inclines her head in greeting to Lexiane.

Prya says 'I am well, thank you'

Lexiane says 'Hello, Chloro Sedai. Hello, Accepted Prya.'

Prya says 'Lexiane, I need to apologize to you'

Lexiane says 'I apologize for not seeing you in the kitchen just now, Aes Sedai.'

Prya chuckles politely.

Lexiane says 'I was meditating through labor.'

Prya says 'So many apologies!'

Prya smiles happily.

Chloro says 'You where busy working, that is acceptable this once.'

Lexiane wiggles her wrinkled fingers.

Lexiane nods in agreement.

Lexiane says 'Thank you, Aes Sedai/'

Lexiane turns to Prya.

Chloro says 'I often used doing dishes to think, it calms the mind and the soul.'

Prya nods at Chloro.

Prya says 'When last we spoke, I said something that angered you'

Lexiane says 'I heard Everesta Sedai still does dishes, Aes Sedai.'

Prya says 'I had not considered the possibility that Myrtle lied to you about being a novice.'

Prya ponders life, the universe, and everything.

Lexiane frowns.

Prya says 'I should have realized that possibility'

Lexiane says 'Myrtle has been lying?!'

Chloro says 'We all have our vices. I knit, Catisune Sedai does needle work. Dishes seem an acceptable way to pass the time.'

Prya says 'When I did not find her name in the novice book, I assumed you were deceiving me or playing pranks'

Prya says 'But I realized it's possible she was not truthful. I suppose any girl could tell you they're a novice whether they are or not!'

Lexiane frowns.

Lexiane says 'Well, that would be terrible!'

Lexiane says 'She was in some of our classes, and there are so many novices in the hallways'

Lexiane says 'I don't know all of their names'

Prya nods in agreement.

Prya says 'Understandable'

Lexiane says 'Well, I am sorry for being upset with you, Accepted.'

Prya says 'I can come where you are. Let me know if you have a few moments'

Lexiane says 'I thought you were accusing me of being a liar and I understand you may have just been confused.'

Prya says 'Your feelings were understandable. If a girl burned my hair, I would not appreciate someone telling me they didn't believe that person existed'

Lexiane says 'It was wrong of me to get so upset, but I have been working on maintaining control over my emotions.'

Prya chuckles politely.

Lexiane runs a hand over her bald head.

Prya says 'That is good to hear!'

Prya says 'We all can use practice in that, I fear. Perhaps not the Aes Sedai'

Prya sneaks a glance at Chloro Sedai.

Lexiane nods, sun reflecting off of her bald head.

Chloro says 'Even Aes Sedai from time to time stumble when it comes to emotions. '

Lexiane blushes.

Lexiane says 'Do you have a few moments for me to interview you, Accepted?'

Lexiane says 'For a task from Chloro Sedai.'

Prya says 'Definitely!'

Lexiane says 'We could go to the Well? Or we could go to the kitchens, I have not finished all the dishes yet.'

Chloro says 'Perhaps you should do it over a honeycake and tea.'

Prya says 'I will join you in the kitchens'

Prya nods in agreement.

Lexiane curtseys to her audience.

Lexiane says 'Thank you for the suggestion, Aes Sedai.'

Chloro says 'Good luck Girls.'

Lexiane says 'I will make us cakes, Accepted.'

Lexiane runs and quickly bakes some cake and makes some tea before joining Prya in the Kitchens.

Prya sits gently on a nearby chair

Lexiane says 'She says she doesn't mind when we sit in here.'

Lexiane is carrying:

Lexiane says 'Would you like black tea or mint and cloudberry?'

Prya says 'Cloudberry, thank you'

Prya looks at a delicate cake and licks her lips.

Prya says 'You're quite the baker! Those look delicious.'

Lexiane gives a cake with white icing to Prya.

Lexiane blushes.

Lexiane says 'I like to bake.'

Lexiane settles into a chair across from Prya.

Lexiane gets a fine quill pen from a belt pack.

Lexiane gets a sheet of paper from a belt pack.

Lexiane balances her tea cup, cakes, pen, and quill on her lap.

Lexiane turns to Prya, face serious.

Lexiane says 'Chloro Sedai asked me to interview you about what it means to be an Accepted.'

Prya nods thoughtfully.

Lexiane says 'She indicated that you are quite an advanced Accepted.'

Lexiane says 'So I had hoped to hear from you what you think it means.'

Prya says 'I can honestly say I've never been asked that question'

Prya says 'Nor have I thought about it as much as I probably should'

A novice comes in carrying a stack of dirty dishes, places them in the sink, and runs out for more.

Prya says 'I have thought a lot about what I should be doing and preparing, but not necessarily pondered what it means to be an Accepted'

Prya taps her finger to her lips.

Prya says 'It also is different for each girl I think.'

Prya says 'For a girl aspiring to the Yellow Ajah, being an Accepted is a very different journey for one hoping to join the ranks of the Blue'

Lexiane nods in agreement.

Lexiane writes furiously, tea sloshing a bit.

Lexiane drinks the hot, bitter tea.

Prya says 'It means learning and studying everything you can about the Ajah you hope to join and its members. Doing what it takes to be certain that is the correct path for you.'

Prya says 'And learning about all the Ajahs, as always, to make sure you are as informed as possible and don't make an error with such a vital choice.'

Lexiane nods, still furiously writing.

Lexiane says 'Did you know which Ajah you wished to petition before you went through the Arches?'

Prya nods in agreement.

Prya says 'Or at least... I was definitely leaning toward it'

Prya says 'I tried to stay open minded as I learned about them all'

Prya says 'But I was extremely passionate about a cause and that has not changed'

Lexiane nods in agreement.

Prya says 'My journey to an apprenticeship was a difficult one, and even now continues to be extremely challenging.'

Lexiane says 'And what was your cause?'

Prya says 'I feel like I take one step forward and two steps backward'

Lexiane says 'And what was difficult then and challenging now?'

Lexiane looks up at you, large doe eyes considering.

Prya says 'My cause is to help young girls with the spark find the Tower and become part of the community here before they are a risk to themselves and others'

Prya says 'Previously, the difficulty was in realizing there was so much I didn't know. Every time I learned anything it felt like I was just learning how little I actually knew'

Prya blushes.

Prya says 'That continues to be a challenge'

Lexiane nods again, her now empty tea cup rattling as she continues taking notes.

Lexiane says 'Yes, we are all always learning!'

Lexiane says 'But a good challenge, I think?'

Prya nods in agreement.

Prya says 'I definitely agree'

Prya says 'And I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong, as I was with Myrtle'

Prya snickers softly.

Prya says 'I also realize that the cause I feel particularly passionate about is the responsibility of all Aes Sedai, though the Blue Ajah does dedicate themselves to it particularly'

Lexiane nods again, producing more paper from her pack to continue taking notes.

Prya says 'So there can be a tendency for it not to be seen as a worthy cause I think'

Lexiane says 'Well, it certainly seems a vital one!'

Prya says 'I had a very good talk with Sarinda Sedai about this'

Lexiane says 'I was picked up by an Aes Sedai myself.'

Prya says 'And I'm so glad you were!'

Prya says 'I'm excited to get to know you better'

Lexiane's cheeks are burning.

Prya says 'And, as you know firsthand, the Power can be extremely dangerous!'

Lexiane says 'Oh, that's very kind of you.'

Prya says 'You could have lost your eyes rather than your hair!'

Prya shivers uncomfortably.

Lexiane runs a hand over her bald head.

Lexiane says 'That would have been horrible!'

Prya nods in agreement.

Prya says 'Hair will grow back!'

Lexiane says 'I think I like having no hair.'

Prya surveys Lexiane's bald head.

Lexiane says 'It makes it easier to do things every day.'

Prya says 'It actually is quite becoming. You should just shave the whole thing'

Lexiane says 'Oh, I did!'

Lexiane runs a hand over her bald head.

Prya says 'Oh goodness!'

Lexiane says 'I kept my eyebrows, of course.'

Lexiane says 'But Accepted Amilya shaved my head.'

Prya says 'I'm not so observant it seems'

Prya chuckles politely.

Prya says 'Well I like it very much'

Lexiane says 'It's ok, I have been peppering you with questions.'

Lexiane says 'Thank you, Accepted.'

Prya says 'Yes, I'll use that as an excuse'

Prya snickers softly.

Prya says 'I get lost in my thoughts at times'

Lexiane says 'So if I can summarize what you told me.'

Prya nods in agreement.

Lexiane says 'Being an Accepted is different for each girl, as the journey is one where they prepare themselves for the Ajah they may join.'

Prya says 'Very good summary'

Lexiane says 'This journey requires learning about all of the Ajahs, of course, and understanding them intimately.'

Prya smiles warmly.

Prya says 'Indeed.'

Lexiane says 'But the main crux of being an Accepted is traveling down the path to becoming an Aes Sedai, and that path is different for everyone.'

Prya nods in agreement.

Lexiane says 'Is there anything else about being an Accepted that is universal to all Accepted?'

Lexiane says 'Responsibilities or duties?'

Prya says 'Certainly.'

Prya says 'There are many tasks to complete, for which we are awarded merits'

Prya says 'Each Ajah assigns different quests which help an Accepted learn about that Ajah's focus' Lexiane nods in agreement.

Lexiane continues scribbling on the paper.

Lexiane absent mindedly bites at her cake.

Lexiane eats the cake.

Prya says 'Each of us are also dedicated to getting to know every Sister we meet and performing any tasks she might assign'

Lexiane says 'Ah, so Ajah specific tasks and general ones.'

Lexiane eats the cake.

Prya nods at Lexiane.

Lexiane says 'Excellent, excellent.'

Lexiane says 'Is there anything related to novices?'

Prya says 'That looked good. I think perhaps I chose the wrong cake'

Lexiane looks up from her papers.

Prya looks with distaste at a cake with icing.

Lexiane says 'Oh, I can make more!'

Lexiane blushes.

Prya chuckles politely.

Lexiane says 'I did not mean to eat all the cakes.'

Lexiane blushes furiously.

Prya says 'No need. Thank you though!'

Prya snickers softly.

Prya says 'Yes, regarding novices...'

Prya says 'We are a community here'

Prya says 'Accepted are available to answer any questions a novice might have, of course'

Prya says 'But more than that, we are a support to each other'

Prya says 'We try to attend classes to support both the teacher and students'

Prya says 'And also to learn ourselves of course!'

Prya says 'We also try to teach the things we learned as a novice'

Prya says 'Like not to bellow across the Tower'

Prya nudges Lexiane suggestively. They have an understanding.

Lexiane continues writing furiously.

Lexiane's cheeks are burning.

Prya chuckles politely.

Lexiane says 'Well, I understand now it is against customs.'

Prya says 'When inducted and given a tour, you only learn a small bit of everything you need to know'

Prya says 'Accepteds can help fill the gap in the rest of the protocols you must learn.'

Prya coughs loudly.

Lexiane says 'Now THAT is an understatement.'

Prya nods at Lexiane.

Prya says 'And for most novices, they don't know what to ask'

Prya says 'They don't know what they don't know, if you will'

Lexiane says 'Yes, how could we?'

Prya says 'Accepted have a better idea, having gone through it'

Prya smiles warmly and glances at Lexiane's notes.

Prya says 'Thorough note taking! I'm impressed!'

Lexiane says 'Well, it is important to be exact.'

Prya nods in agreement.

Lexiane runs a hand over her bald head, leaving a streak of black ink on her skin.

Prya snickers softly.

Lexiane says 'Is there anything else I missed that you think I should know?'

Prya ponders life, the universe, and everything.

Prya says 'I suppose...fighting'

Prya says 'This is not my forte, I'll admit'

Prya says 'But an Accepted is expected to be able to defend herself and fight the shadow'

Lexiane says 'Ah, yes. It is not my preferred activity. But I am capable of defending myself.'

Prya says 'Draz has taught a few classes that I have found exceedingly helpful'

Lexiane says 'I have run off Boboliosie, a trolloc, and the mad man Teveyl.'

Prya says 'Well done!'

Prya says 'Unfortunately, weak-willed men see the woods here as a zone of easy prey'

Prya glares around her.

Lexiane nods in agreement.

Lexiane says 'Well, thankfully I can pull ice from there and throw it at them.'

Lexiane says 'Has worked well so far.'

Prya nods in agreement.

Lexiane smiles happily, the smear of ink on her head drying slowly.

Prya says 'Hopefully they'll think twice about stalking these halls and the woods nearby now that you are here!'

Lexiane blushes.

Lexiane says 'I am sure the Aes Sedai give them pause.'

Prya says 'You may want to check your reflection after we are done speaking'

Prya says 'Unfortunately, you got a bit of ink on your scalp'

Lexiane looks up in an attempt to see the top of her head.

Prya says 'It looks like a cool tattoo actually, so maybe leave it'

Lexiane says 'Oh.'

Lexiane says 'Well, I will have to see it later.'

Prya nods in agreement.

Prya says 'It's also expected of an Accepted not to travel to certain areas'

Lexiane says 'Oh, I would quite like to travel.'

Prya says 'This is one thing I was unclear about when interviewed to become an Accepted'

Prya says 'Hopefully you will avoid my fate!'

Lexiane says 'I have only seen the farm and Tar Valon.'

Lexiane nods in agreement.

Lexiane says 'I have read the handbook.'

Lexiane says 'Very closely!'

Prya says 'You will see many amazing cities once you are an Accepted'

Lexiane smiles eagerly at that pronouncement.

Prya says 'Good. I should've had it at the ready to be able to explain the areas I was not allowed to go as an Accepted'

Lexiane says 'I quite like cities! I would like to visit Caemlyn.'

Prya smiles happily.

Prya says 'I recently taught a class on Travel and Locate weaves. The log of it is in the Tower library if you want to review it.'

Lexiane says 'Oh, I will!'

Lexiane says 'I have never Traveled before.'

Prya says 'It is full of many tips that I wish I'd known before I learned to Travel!'

I have awarded Lexiane, Prya, and Chloro. Please 'receive' them at the silver-haired sister.
