Summary: Elmitsu finds Nevirha while looking for Everesta. Taking a page out of Kali's book, Nevirha helps chip away at Elmitsu's block.

Someone knocks on the carveddoor from the other side.

Nevirha gestures with her hand.

The door smoothly swings open.

Elmitsu has arrived from the east.

Nevirha gestures at the doors with her hand.

The door silently swings shut and lock with a soft *click*.

Nevirha looks up from her papers and regards Elmitsu.

Nevirha says 'Yes?'

Elmitsu nearly trips in her haste to cross the threshold. She offers a marginal curtsey.

Elmitsu smiles sweetly 'Forgive me, Aes Sedai. I am looking for Everesta Sedai.'

Nevirha motions around the room. 'Well she is not here, child.'

Nevirha says 'Is there something I can do for you?'

Elmitsu blanches visibly.

Elmitsu says 'I only meant to show her the progress I'm making with my block.'

Nevirha smiles kindly at Elmitsu.

Elmitsu continues 'She has been helping me overcome it.'

Nevirha says 'Perhaps you can show me instead.'

Elmitsu smiles slyly 'It is a little unusual, Aes Sedai.'

Nevirha arches her brow.

Nevirha says 'Well, go on. No need to be scared.'

Elmitsu wrings her hands convincingly.

Elmitsu bellows 'I am picturing Rolfe! He has curly brown hair and eyes!'

Elmitsu bellows 'He moves with the deadly grace of a predator! He has big arms and a skinny waist!'

Elmitsu bellows 'He has that little mole by his mouth that reminds me of Alfred!'

Elmitsu bellows 'Did I mention his eyelashes?'

Elmitsu scrunches her eyes shut so tightly she may never open them again.

Nevirha senses Elmitsu connecting to the True Source.

Elmitsu is surrounded by the trademark nimbus of Saidar. She opens her eyes and weaves a sphere of the source.

Nevirha rubs at her ears.

Nevirha says 'I see you have made some good progress, child.'

Elmitsu splits her flows deftly, producing another sphere, and then another. She juggles these three globes before her adroitly.

Nevirha says 'Walk me through your method, if you will.'

Elmitsu gulps like a fish out of water as she releases the One Power.

Elmitsu says 'I . . . before I came to the Tower, I could channel.'

Elmitsu juts her chin out defiantly 'Myrtle called me a wilder like it was a dirty word.'

Elmitsu finishes lamely 'I had to be holding a boy's hand.'

Nevirha says 'There is no need to fret about what other novices think of you, child.'

Nevirha says 'You are a wilder, but there is no shame in that. It just means we will have to spend some extra time with you breaking these...'

Nevirha twists her mouth. '...habits you've formed.'

Elmitsu tries to regain some composure, and her lower lip doesn't wobble once 'I think my teachers thought I was boy crazy, but Everesta Sedai has helped me improve.'

Nevirha nods her head slightly.

Nevirha says 'It does seem like there has been some improvement, though I'd like to see you get to the point where you can embrace without shouting.'

Elmitsu lowers her head abashedly.

Nevirha paces back and forth behind her chair, thinking.

Nevirha says 'Now, it's nothing to be embarrassed about, novice.'

Nevirha says 'The problem is, if you go around shouting like that all of the time, everyone will know you're embracing the Source.'

Nevirha says 'It's not a very efficient way of doing things, wouldn't you agree?'

Nevirha smiles jovially at the girl.

Elmitsu nods thoughtfully as she considers this. Something like comprehension blossoms in her large, emerald eyes.

Elmitsu says 'Yes, Aes Sedai. I'll never sneak up on someone that way.'

Nevirha says 'Imagine if you were to be a Green and had to go shouting throughout the Blight while fighting trollocs?'

Nevirha stifles a laugh at the idea.

Elmitsu's eyes grow even wider if that's possible.

Nevirha says 'I've had an idea, child.'

Nevirha says 'Would you like to try to work on your block without shouting?'

Elmitsu chirps dutifully 'Yes, Aes Sedai.'

Nevirha embraces Saidar, deftly weaving air and fire together, forming a blindfold around the novice's eyes.

Nevirha says 'Can you see anything, child?'

Elmitsu gasps as her sight is occluded.

Elmitsu says 'No, Aes Sedai.'

Elmitsu shifts her balance from foot to foot as if uncomfortable.

Nevirha bellows 'Rolfe, come here a moment.'

Nevirha gestures with her hand.

Elmitsu cants her head to one side as if listening for something.

Nevirha gestures at the doors with her hand.

The door silently swings shut and lock with a soft *click*.

Elmitsu's hands drift to her face.

Nevirha says 'Thank you, Rolfe. I need help with this Novice.'

Nevirha says 'Child, hold out your hand, please.'

Elmitsu stands up a little straighter with Rolfe in the room.

Elmitsu extends her hand as requested. Her palm is slick with sweat.

Nevirha places her fist, covered by a heavy gauntlet in Elmitsu's hand.

Nevirha says 'Now, child, embrace the Source.'

Nevirha senses Elmitsu connecting to the True Source.

Elmitsu says 'Forgive me, Aes Sedai, but this is how I always did it.'

Nevirha releases the blindfold of air and fire from around Elmitsu's eyes.

Nevirha says 'Is it, child?'

Elmitsu gasps, a sharp inhalation of breath, but she maintains in contact with Saidar.

Nevirha says 'Look around.'

Elmitsu says 'I . . . don't understand, Aes Sedai.'

Nevirha retrieves her fist from the girl's hand and flashes it in front of her face.

Nevirha says 'You were able to embrace the Source because you thought Rolfe was here, novice.'

Elmitsu says 'You tricked me!'

Nevirha says 'But it appears that you do not need to hold a man's hand to embrace after all.'

Elmitsu's smile gets wider and wider.

Nevirha says 'It will take some practice, child, but I hope this will be the largest step towards breaking your block.'

Nevirha says 'A clever idea of Kali Sedai's.'

Elmitsu is practically hopping from foot to foot, though she tempers her enthusiasm once she remembers who addresses her.

Nevirha smiles kindly at the novice.

Nevirha says 'I hope next time you find Everesta Sedai, you can show her all your new progress and embrace without having to shout.'

Elmitsu says 'Thank you, Aes Sedai! I am sure Jenda Sedai will be pleased I am shouting less. I think I hurt her head yesterday.'

Nevirha smiles wryly.

Nevirha says 'Very well, child, be about your chores and other lessons.'

Nevirha ushers Elmitsu towards the door.

Nevirha gestures with her hand.

The door smoothly swings open.

Elmitsu scoots out at Nevirha's urging. She drops a slightly improved curtsey on her way toward the door.

Elmitsu leaves east.
