Novice Lexiane Helps Novice Elmitsu With Her Rosebud

A log where Lexiane assists Elmitsu with practicing the rosebud exercise for embracing the One Power.

After a conversation with Raeza Sedai where Elmitsu's block was discussed, Lexiane was tasked with helping Elmitsu with the rosebud exercise. Instead of doing it immediately, Lexiane decided to bring Elmitsu to a cave she found. The scene opens with Lexiane looking for a canoe for Elmitsu to use for cave exploration.

narrow passageway. The air is rich with the scent of damp stone, a coarse

A River Runs Through
Two enormous boulders of redstone stand proud in the river, a fallen
leatherleaf trapped between them. The muddy waters rush between the
obstruction and the bank with a roar, the diverted river eating away at the
clay. The sides of the rocks are cracked from years of harsh winters and
balmy summers, their tops spattered with blotchy green moss. The trunk of
the tree is rotten, shedding splintered black flakes of decaying wood.

Someone bellows 'I am kind of scared of the dark.'

Lexiane bellows 'hey do you want to do the rosebud exercise now?'

Someone bellows 'It's not a big deal though.'

Lexiane bellows 'No distractions so it's a good time'

Lexiane bellows 'Ok close your eyes'

Lexiane bellows 'Are your eyes closed?'

Someone bellows 'They're closed!'

Lexiane says 'Ok, now you need to breathe in and out'

Someone bellows 'Through my mouth or my nose?'

Lexiane bellows 'Each inhale and exhale should last the same amount of time'

The golden sun breaches the horizon, burnished rays burning away the night.
The sky starts to get cloudy.

Lexiane bellows 'Uhh, which one do you like breathing through more?'

Murky Shallows
Though deeper to the east and west, tumbled rocks from the craggy banks
have raised the bed of the river until it is shallow enough for passage.
Muddy waters gurgle around stones worn smooth by their incessant tumbling.
Filthy strands of green algae float on the surface, small silver fish
flickering to and fro underneath, nipping at the insects that hide within.

Elmitsu says 'Probably.'

Elmitsu says 'I just got here though.'

Lexiane says 'Ok do you want to see this really cool cave?'

Elmitsu says 'Yes.'
