Skyra nods at Penzei.

In the Hallway
This gray stone hallway is plain looking, although its floor tiles of red
and green liven up the area. Two tapestries of flowered trees and
stout-beaked birds hang on the wall, so colorful they seem unlikely to be
real. An unmarked wooden door lies between the tapestries.

A roster hangs here.

A gray palfrey prances skittishly nearby.
Skyra has arrived from the west.

Above the Stairwell
The gray stone floor of the hallway with red, green, gray and blue floor
tiles gives way to a narrow stairwell. A six-sided hanging lantern hanging
from the stairs' ceiling casts a flickering light on the steps, preventing
the area of being shrouded in darkness. A portrait of a woman wearing a
seven-striped stole hangs on the gray stone wall opposite the stairs.

Skyra has arrived from the south.

In the Plain Hallway
A pointed archway containing an ironbound wooden door leads to the west,
into the wing that extends westwards from the shaft of the White Tower.
That part of the wing contains one of the two wells used to house Accepted
that is still in use today. Glossy gray and blue floor tiles brighten up
the plain gray stone floor that is used in this area.

A Green Sister struts about the halls.
Skyra has arrived from the south.

Intersection on the Ramp
The curvature of the outer wall of the ramp is abruptly interrupted by an
archway that opens up towards a corridor. The frieze of carved leaves which
embellishes the upper part of the curving wall have been seamlessly
connected to its counterparts in the corridor. Richly decorated ribs branch
off of the frieze to support the vaulted ceiling. Brightly colored tiles
form a pattern on the floor, illuminated by gilded stand lamps.

A woman with an ageless face stands here.
Skyra has arrived from the west.

In the Spiralling Corridor
A ramp curves away out of sight to the west and east, connecting the floors
in the Tower. Leaves of several varieties curl and twine in the stonework
frieze, as well as the ribbing of the vaulted ceiling. The Ogier's work is
so life-like, the blossoms and leaves seem almost ready to flutter in a
breeze and fall to the brightly colored floor tiles. A wall hanging
depicting the fall of the city Londaren Cor during the Trolloc Wars
decorates the wall opposite where a corridor joins the ramp.

Hallway Outside the Classrooms
This unremarkable gray stone hallway and landing off a stairwell is lined
with a number of doors, marked with the numbers one through twenty. Two
large double doors sit in a pointed archway on the northern end of the
corridor. A portrait of a woman wearing a seven-striped stole surrounded by
battle scenes hangs on the wall opposite the stairwell.

In the Classroom
A board of black slate hangs on the wall near the door, suggesting this
room is used as a classroom. The room is plain and windowless and has
enough place to seat thirty students. A dais with a desk sits at the front
of the room, where the Aes Sedai or Accepted teaching the class can sit.

Skyra the Fledgling Novice is standing here.
A haughty young woman strides by practicing Aes Sedai serenity.

Penzei says 'Welcome to the Tower, Novice Skyra!'

Skyra smiles happily.

Skyra thanks Penzei heartily.

will help you with any weave you wish to learn availible to you
Penzei says 'If at any time, you need to train yourself on weaves, you may return to Sheriam Sedai and
she will help you with any weave you wish to learn availible to you'

Skyra nods in agreement.

Skyra says 'i have lots of training to do.'

Skyra says 'do you have any suggestions?'

Penzei says 'There are a few weaves that are not accessible until you are an Aes Sedai, but for now, I
wouldn't worry to much about that...'

Skyra nods in agreement.

Skyra says 'there are chores for me correct?'

Penzei reaches into the desk at the front of the classroom and produces an thick book with the words
Tower Handbook written on it.

Penzei holds the book before you so that you may have it.

Penzei says 'Please open your Tower Handbook to the General Behavior, section'

Penzei says 'This is going to be very important for a Novice'

Skyra thumbs to the General Section of here Tower Handbook.

Penzei says 'First of the rules... You will Obey the command of any Aes Sedai'

Skyra says 'oh yes. '

Skyra nods at Penzei.

Penzei says 'That being said, most of the Aes Sedai are more then happy to help and guide you at all
times, you need only ask nicely for their assistance!'

Penzei says 'And don't be afraid to ask us Tower Accepted as well, we are all very close to becoming Aes
Sedai ourself'

Skyra says 'you are correct. everyone i have met so far has been very helpful.'

Skyra says 'everyone has been so helpful. it has shown me how I want to be given the chance.'

are generally very busy protecting us from the Shadowspawn
Penzei says 'You'll find the Green Ajah Aes Sedai to be alittle harder to pin down but that is because
they are generally very busy protecting us from the Shadowspawn'

Skyra shivers uncomfortably.

Penzei says 'that brings me to the Second rule!'

Penzei says 'You will adress all Aes Sedai, Gaidin, and Accepted by their proper title!'

Penzei says 'It seems fairly simple, however if you forgo the formalities of it you may find yourself in
hot water!'

Skyra says 'yes Accecpted Penzei!'

Penzei giggles.

Penzei says 'Ask you may have noticed, when an Aes Sedai enters the room you must curtsey'

Skyra says 'should it be a direct curstey or a general one?'

Skyra says 'for instance.'

Skyra says 'if two walk into the room at the same time?'

Penzei says 'use your own intuition! '

Skyra writes some notes down.

Penzei says 'If there are multiple Aes Sedai already there and a new one enters... then maybe think
about directing that curtsey towards them'

Skyra nods at Penzei.

Penzei says 'Do you have any questions so far ?'

Skyra says 'no Accepted Penzei, so far i am following.'

An overworked, grumbling scribe bustles into the room, scowling darkly.

The scribe says 'Nevirha Sedai requests your presence in the Gray's Meeting Room, penzei.'

Finishing her errand, the scribe turns on her heel and scurries back the way she came.

Penzei giggles.

Skyra chuckles politely.

Skyra says 'it seems you need to go. i will work on chores and training.'

Penzei shakes her head.

Penzei says 'We will finish with the rules and i'll show you to the kitchen'

Penzei giggles.

Penzei says 'That being said!'
Skyra nods in agreement.

Penzei says 'You may not hide your identity or travel incognito at any time!'

Penzei says 'Very important'

Penzei says 'Will be more important once you are allowed outside of the Tower again'

Skyra nods in agreement.

Penzei says 'and last by not least You may not travel in the company of: ANY known male channeler, those
sworn to a "dragon", or an individual wanted by Tar Valon... '

Skyra shivers uncomfortably.

Penzei says 'Which now that you are a part of the Tower are posted'

Penzei says 'OOC aka who list lol'

Skyra grins evilly.

Skyra jots a quick note.

Penzei says 'Now, before I show you to your chores...'

Penzei says 'Forbiddin weaves...'

Penzei says 'The use of Incinerate, Gate, Shield, Compulsion, and Balefire weaves are forbidden.'

Penzei says 'The One Power should never be used to harm another human being except as provided by the
oaths - this includes Blind and Sleep.'

Penzei says 'Use of forbidden weaves will result in expulsion from the White Tower and possibly being
stilled.'

Skyra says 'is blind forbidden?'

Penzei says 'no that was just an example, do not use blind on the innocent'

Skyra nods at Penzei.

Penzei says 'if you do and you are caught...'

Skyra says 'i would never harm an innocent.'

Penzei says 'There is nothing I can do to help you'

Penzei nods in agreement.

Penzei says 'And that is why you are here!!'

Penzei smiles happily.

Penzei says 'I'll let you read up on the rest!'

Skyra nods at Penzei.

Penzei says 'Come lets show you around'

Penzei says 'This is the class room'

Penzei giggles.

To the east of the main path between the White Tower proper and the Tower
Library lies the Spring Garden. Situated on a triangular plot of land
between two walls, it has been planted with shade loving plants. Hydrangeas
in white, pink and purple mingle with bristleboughs with thin, finger-like
leaves. Bleeding hearts, with their tiny pink blossoms drooping from
delicate three pronged compound leaves have been planted in rows.

On Wide Marble Stairs
Wide marble stairs with deep steps rise to the second and main floor of the
Great Library of Tar Valon. The priceless tomes being kept above ground
level is no doubt to account for any major floods of the Erinin River which
encircles the island of Tar Valon. A pair of tall carved doors on bronze
hinges open up to an oak lined stone path that leads to the Tower proper.

Entrance Hall
A pair of double doors containing small square glass panes keeps draft and
moisture ouf of this entrance hall. Two spiralling, cast iron staircases
with railings depicting a variety of leaves and fruits lead up to the upper
floor, where some Brown Sisters keep their quarters. Several large desks,
each with a gilded tablelamp and writing supplies stand in the hallway,
allowing the librarians to prevent visitors to the library from taking any
of the priceless tomes with them to the outside.

Underneath the Central Dome
The two hallways meet at a cavernous rotunda which is crowned by an
enormous dome of pale white stone. Stone ribs reach out from the top of
wall at the four corners of the intersection, meeting to form a circle
which serves as the foundation of the dome. To the east and west lie long
straight halls with many doors. A large room with open doors lies to the

West Wing of the Library
Colorful floor tiles laid in repeating rows of Ajah colors cover the floor
of this wide hallway, which forms the center of the Great Library of Tar
Valon. Evidently the work of Ogier stonemasons, the walls of pale white
stone have been masterfully carved to show huge figures, depicting
fancifully garbed people and strange animals ten feet tall or more. A pair

smaller room with a plain door marked with a brass sign lies to the south.

A small room lies before the head librarians office to the north, which is
closed off by a low gate. Several books are stacked on a small rack before
the counter, and a number of low, wheeled book carts clutter the room,
containing books in need of filing. An end-table in the southwest corner
contains a few worn-looking books, including one whose binding is in
tatters. An exit north leads back into the hallway. A sign is posted over a
bookshelf detailing instructions for book re-shelving.

A bookshelf made from imported wood stands against the wall here.
A frail woman tends the library, dusting shelves as she goes.
Skyra has arrived from the north.

Penzei says 'This is the sorting rack!'

Skyra says 'lots of books in there.'

Penzei says 'where you may take books from the shelf and return them to their proper place in the
library!'

Penzei says 'You will also receive merits for doing so!'

Skyra says 'one question.'

Penzei says 'yes ?'

Skyra says 'can i use the merits for training in the area east of the city?'

Penzei giggles.

asy You may

Penzei says 'You may'

Penzei says 'but remember, you must stay on the island'

Penzei says 'do not venture over the bridge'

Skyra says 'so there isnt a limit to the amount of merits i can get so long as I dont go over the
needed amount for the next level.'

Penzei says 'Yes and no'

Penzei says 'Once you achieve ENOUGH merits to progress, then contact an Aes Sedai so you may be put to
the next test!'

Skyra nods at Penzei.

Penzei says 'But you can go over'

Penzei says 'no one is going to bat an eyelash'

Penzei says 'There are many more things to worry about then merits'

Penzei giggles.

Skyra says 'just want to be able to continue to level and poine trees are great teachers'

Skyra winks suggestively at Penzei.

Penzei nods in agreement.

Penzei says 'ofcourse I don't blame you'

Penzei says 'You still have much to learn ofcourse!'

Skyra boggles at the thought.

A pair
of carved double doors on bronze hinges open up to the north, while a
smaller room with a plain door marked with a brass sign lies to the south.

A large room with open doors lies to the
north, while a hallway leads south, towards two massive double doors.

Path Passing the Spring Garden
To the east of the main path between the White Tower proper and the Tower
Library lies the Spring Garden. Situated on a triangular plot of land
between two walls, it has been planted with shade loving plants. Hydrangeas
in white, pink and purple mingle with bristleboughs with thin, finger-like
leaves. Bleeding hearts, with their tiny pink blossoms drooping from
delicate three pronged compound leaves have been planted in rows.

A sign stands between the flowers in the garden.

A Round Entry Hall
Two intricately carved doors, wide enough for twelve men abreast lie to the
north, forming the main exit for those who leave the White Tower proper to
visit the famed Tower Library, which lies is a separate building to the
north. Archways in the walls of stonework the color of bleached bone lead
to other areas of the Tower, including the guest quarters.

Junction in the Hallway
Two plain corridors paved with gray tiles intersect with a cavernous
hallway of white stone paved with brightly colored tiles. Tall, gilded
stand lamps cast a warm, flickering light on the art that lines the pale
stonework walls of the hallway, varying from large murals to colorful wall
hangings and statuettes placed on small pillared pedestals.

Before Closed Brown Doors
The landing on this stairwell has a floor of tiles in various hues of
brown. A pair of plain double doors, polished and with brass handles lie to
the north, closed and locked as the Brown Ajah resides on a higher floor. A
portrait of a woman wearing the seven-striped stole adorns the wall, the
colors contrasting sharply with the gray color of her dress.

Skyra looks at Penzei.

Tic in 7 seconds!

Penzei says 'I myself am apprenticed to the Yellow Ajah, with whom are most concerned with the Healing
arts!'

Skyra says 'how did you find out you wanted to go that route?'

Penzei says 'It was simply what drew me the most I suppose!'

The Warders' Practice Yard
A large expanse of bare ground at least fifty paces across and nearly twice

under the trees stand wooden stands holding quarterstaffs and practice
swords made of strips of wood bound loosely together, and a few real swords
and axes and spears. A large gray stone building lies to the east, home to

Penzei says 'Pay no attention to the staff I'm currently using'

Penzei says 'I'm going to switch to fencing blades soon'

Penzei giggles.

Skyra nods in agreement.
