Main character: Chloro
Supporting character: Divina Sedai
Antagonist: Catisune Sedai

Chloro has arrived from the south.

Chloro deeply curtseys to the Aes Sedai near.

Chloro closes the carveddoor.

Chloro says 'Good Evening Catisune and Divina Sedai.'

Study of the Brown Ajah
Tall, arched windows in the northern wall open to a balcony, providing a
choice view of the Erinin as it flows south from the Borderlands. Half the
seating in the room is drawn up around the windows, showing that the
occupants appreciate the panorama. The remaining seats are drawn up in
circles of six to eight, allowing Brown Sisters to discuss the furtherance
of knowledge, or new theories in an informal atmosphere. Colorful wall
hangings depicting still lifes decorate the pale white walls.
[ obvious exits: S ]
Zone: White Tower Upper Floors
Door south: door
A large desk made of fine, thick wood stands across the room from here.
Chloro Arovni, Gray Ajah Apprentice is standing here.
Lady Divina Souvraya is standing here.
A woman with an ageless face stands here.
A Gray Sister walks here, considering her options.
A silver-haired Aes Sedai sits here, reading.
A Brown Sister is here, frowning pensively.
Danelle Sedai, sitter for the Brown Ajah stands here deep in thought.

Catisune drifts from Divina's side to one of the plush chairs facing the Ajah study windows.

Catisune says 'Chloro.'

Divina peers closely at a Gray Sister, trying to figure her out.

Catisune whispers to Divina 'I have been caucusing with Nevirha and Jocelyn a bit lately, but quite
intrepid for them to send a spy.'

Chloro says 'Please Aes Sedai, before we begin I must rid myself of this, it makes my stomach turn
to be near it.'

Chloro gives you a silvery a'dam.

Catisune receives the package into her spindly fingers. She hisses audibly.

Chloro says 'I dare not let it fall into other hands.'

Catisune says 'Correct, Chloro.'

Catisune gives a silvery a'dam to Danelle Sedai.

Catisune says 'Danelle, into the cache with this, I think. Warded too.'

Catisune senses Divina connecting to the True Source.

Chloro lets off a slight shiver before regaining her composure Aes Sedai calm washing over her face.
"How may I be of service tonight Aes Sedais?"

Catisune senses Divina is channeling saidar.

Catisune taps her lip thoughtfully.

Catisune says 'What a question.'

Catisune draws her lips as tight as a coin purse's strings.

Catisune says 'Have you reconsidered your apprenticeship?'

Chloro says 'I find the girls and sometimes women of the tower forget that to serve all is to also
see to the needs of those here. A oversight of purpose i think.'

Divina looks at Catisune and rolls her eyes.

Chloro chuckles meeting Catisune's gaze."I have not, though I think I may have aided the Brown ajah
tonight with what I have learned from the Gray Ajah."

Catisune says 'After all, Everesta has just claimed her shawl. Perhaps you would find a faster path with
the Brown.'

Divina says 'Nothing worthwhile comes easy sister.'

Catisune says 'Don't I know it.'

Chloro says 'One could say that, then one would consider Tolza and Lexica as first and second in
line. Webs within webs.'

Catisune smiles rather vaguely.

Catisune says 'Oh, fine. I can't trip you tonight, it seems.'

Chloro says 'I am sure you could, though my fellow Accepted have come a research project of mine. It
seems all but the Red Ajah has a Apprentice of sorts now.'

Catisune says 'And their most recent apprentice recently shawled, yes.'

Catisune says 'You should update my own research.'

Chloro says 'I do find that particular topic fascinating, however I do believe there was a book I
have to present you.'

Catisune says 'On with it then.'

Catisune looks down to the tawny bag of sewing trinkets resting at the foot of her favored chair. She
begins fishing in it for something.

Catisune rummages through her bag, and audibly. She finally produces an embroidery hoop.

Chloro pulls a booksized parcel from her pouch wrapped in wax paper, carefully she hands the hide
and bone bound book to Catisune. (Needle point patterns of the Malkeri Nobility). "This seems more
to your talents I think."

Catisune runs her hand somewhat reverently over the cover of the book.

Catisune says 'Where did you get this, dear?'

Chloro says 'My Aunt found it, in a Merchants junk heap of all places. So close to the Gap many
Malkeri Settled in kandor.'

Catisune says 'A real treasure.'

Divina opens the carveddoor.

Divina leaves south. vv

Catisune says 'Sit, won't you?'

Chloro says 'In line with your research, I think I have found a Novice that has my flare for
Research.'

Catisune says 'Oh?'

Catisune tilts her head to one side as a bird might.

Chloro smiles warmly taking a seat opposite the Aes Sedai pulling her knitting from her pouch.
"Indeed, Novice Kura has the makings of a fine addition to the Brown.

The carveddoor is opened from the other side.

Divina has arrived from the south.

Divina closes the carveddoor.

Divina gives a book on the art of not pricking ones finger to Chloro.

Catisune suppresses her mirth as she smiles slyly at Divina.

Catisune says 'I am so glad I have you to scout for the Brown, dear.'

Chloro chuckles reading the title. "I must confess this would have been most handle when I
embellished those book covers."

Divina says 'A most revered and ancient tome that one'

Catisune says 'You say every Ajah has an apprentice but the Red?'

Chloro says 'I have heard a Accepted is in Talks with the Whites. Though which I have yet to Ferret
out.'

Divina says 'Perhaps somethings are better off to remain secret'

Catisune says 'But do let me know if you find out who, dear.'

Chloro says 'I scout for all Catisune Sedai, with so many Full sisters called out of the tower, the
girls lack direction, and the true meaning of the Ajahs. They hear of the flashier parts, yet none
of them prepare for what day to day would be if they do attain the shawl.'

Catisune taps her lip thoughtfully.

Chloro says 'I shall. Sondra I know wishes to go blue.'

Catisune says 'I hope her hair does not silver before she shawls.'

Chloro says 'Silver does go with blue nicely.'

Catisune says 'Too few claim a shawl at all of late. We must prepare for Tarmon Gai'don, the signs of
which abound.'

Catisune looks down to the bag at her feet.

Chloro smirks slightly before regaining her composure." I think the Tower will grow with Much
Strength in the months to come. my only worry is the amount of Mentors to the amount of girls we
have taken on of late."

Catisune says 'Every worthy girl will find a mentor.'

Catisune chooses her words carefully, as one might a ripe fruit. She lingers over the word worthy.

Divina chuckles politely.

Chloro says 'I hope that is true, I do not know if the last battle will come in my life time. I
think we start to see the signs now and all we can do is what we can and hope for what will come. '

Catisune says 'Let's hope you live long enough, dear.'

Catisune recites, an adage, 'The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills.'

Catisune amends 'Do not let it roll over you.'

Divina says 'That is a bit ominous don't you think sister.'

Catisune says 'I love to orate and intone. It is one of my many charms!'

Chloro says 'Creator willing we all will. '

Catisune smiles slyly at Divina over her hoop.

Catisune says 'We all will not, dear.'

Catisune says 'But how would you guide the Dragon, Chloro?'

Catisune says 'How would you steer him toward his inevitable end, the one over whose prophecies we have
labored?'

Chloro picks up her knitting needles knitting one and pearling two as she focuses on the
conversation. "As an honest answer to the Question, I do not know. It would all depend on when and
how he is found."

Catisune shows the image forming on her hoop, a serpentine figure taking shape.

Catisune says 'It is good you practice honest answers.'

Catisune says 'Soon you may have no choice.'

Chloro nods smiling at Catisune's work. "Either way shawl or not, speaking the truth is the only way
to keep ones self clean and unburdened to keeping up with lies."

Catisune says 'It can be difficult to keep up, dear.'

Catisune senses Divina connecting to the True Source.

Catisune senses Divina is channeling saidar.

Catisune looks toward Chloro's knitting.

Catisune says 'What are you making? A present for Divina Sedai?'

Chloro Gives a side view, gray scarf with kandori red horses prancing.

Catisune tsks as a clucking bird might.

Catisune says 'Not Divina's colors at all!'

Catisune 's eyes narrow and remain implacable, though her lips twitch with mischief.

Chloro says 'I have not started on Sedai gifts yet. This is for my brother back home, he is old
enough to enlist now, hopefully this will give him luck.'

Divina stops using a fine quill pen.

Catisune says 'You must put aside your family, dear.'

Catisune says 'You will outlive them by leagues if you are lucky. And if you are not . . . well, I rue the
alternative.'

Divina gives a fine quill pen to Danelle Sedai.

Divina looks at Danelle Sedai.

Catisune says 'Danelle, is there wine?'

Danelle Sedai points at Catisune and says 'You're buying!'

Catisune snorts as a horse might.

Chloro says 'A final gift, I may not be in his life but, hopefully he will produce more girls that
can channel. I am not the first in my family to come here. Hopefully I will not be the last.'

Divina says 'No greater truth there Danelle'

Catisune whispers to Divina 'Always sticking me with the bill.'

Catisune says 'Are there sisters in your tree? I should know their names then.'

Chloro says 'A cousin, Niesra though she is quite old now. She chose a different path but she was as
strong as I will be when i reach my full potential.'

Divina says 'oh'

Danelle Sedai says 'The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills.'

Catisune nods at Danelle, her bun swaying censoriously.

Catisune says 'She claimed a shawl?'

Danelle Sedai says 'Yes of course, Sister.'

Catisune nods at her.

Catisune says 'Then you mean Niesra Sedai, dear.'

Chloro says 'No she chose to leave the tower before shawling. A falling out of some sort. I did not
delve much into it as that path is her own.'

Catisune 's eyes skirt to Danelle.

Catisune says 'Too much wine, I think.'

Catisune looks down to the book in her lap as another might a gold bar.

Catisune says 'Thank you for this, Chloro.'

Chloro says 'Still that marks two women in my family with strength to reach the shawl in the last
100 years. Begs to wonder if that line is carried by blood. You are most welcome Catisune Sedai. I
hope more girls pick up handy craft.'

Catisune says 'Not all have the knack for it.'

Catisune 's eyes narrow.

Catisune says 'But you have steady hands.'

Chloro says 'A saying from my Aunt. If you can steady your hands, you can make most believe your
calm even though your trembling inside. '

Catisune says 'She sounds like a smart woman, dear.'

Catisune says 'You apprentice to my sister Nevirha?'

Chloro says 'Yes Catisune Sedai.'

Catisune steeples her fingers.

Catisune says 'Despite my best efforts, I find you most suitable, Chloro. Do not disappoint me.'

Catisune says 'I should like to see you change your title to Tower Accepted. I find all this apprentice
-title nonsense to be just such, and you are beholden to me yet.'

Catisune says 'liveaward Chloro 3 qps for needlework'

A silver-haired Aes Sedai says 'As you command, Catisune Sedai. I will now award LIVE QPS.'

Chloro her knitting skips a beat as the sentence sinks in then resumes."I hope to not let anyone
that has taught me down. I know the road will be hard. I will carry the resolve to see it through."

A silver-haired Aes Sedai says 'It is done.'

Chloro says 'as you wish Catisune Sedai.'

Catisune says 'I will see this Tower graven on your bones, dear, if I have to ink the letter myself.'

Divina shivers uncomfortably.

Chloro places her needles down looking to Catisune."I hope your ink is permanent then, Kandori are
known for being quite stubborn."Smiles warmly.

Catisune smiles too, perhaps in spite of herself.

Catisune says 'Too Gray for your own good, or I would make right on poaching you. Very well, Chloro. I am
sure you have lessons to teach and lessons to take. Attend me again soon.'

Chloro says 'I will say, without you and Alosia Sedai, my path here may have been quite different.
Of this I will not forget.'

Catisune says 'Neither will I, dear.'

Chloro rises placing her knitting in her pouch and smoothing her skirts."Light illumine your Both."

Chloro deeply curtseys to the Aes Sedai near.

Catisune says 'May the Creator steel you for what is to come, Chloro.'
