Eivor makes an...odd decision

Post by Eivor » Mon Oct 25, 2021 11:11 pm

Participants: Accepted Eivor and Jenda Sedai
Topic: Eivor picks an Ajah to apprentice under, but not the one Jenda Sedai necessarily expects

Tower Square
This side of the square is the southern section of the Tower Square.
In the center is the walled off White Tower. To the south a large
boulevard opens up leading to the Southharbor. To the north you see
the southern gate of the Tower grounds. The square continues east
and west.
A large banner rests here, depicting a map of Tar Valon.
[ obvious exits: N E S W ]
Zone: Tar Valon
A marble bench, flecked with gold and bronze, adorns the floor.
An oil lamp, set in a steel cage, hangs from a high wooden pole.
An elaborately sculpted marble fountain splashes merrily.
A stout wooden barrel stands nearby.
An outlaw stands here, smirking.
Garwin of Kandor, Bossman is standing here, riding a bloodstock stallion.
A keen eyed, sun-darkened man struts about here.
A young Tower Guard is on duty here.
Lady Kathala Arantes, Ra'dar is standing here, riding a bloodstock stallion.
Jenda Sharaad is standing here.
The Tar Valon town crier stands here, spreading the news.
Tolza Al'Tooz |Brown Ajah Apprentice| the Tower Accepted is standing here.
An Illianer steed stands here proudly, its black mane glistening.

Eivor says 'Jenda Sedai, do you have a moment to speak in your office? I...promise to use the door this
time'

Eivor's cheeks are burning.

Jenda says 'Of course, Accepted.. '

Jenda beckons everyone to follow her.

Eivor now follows Jenda.

Solarium of the Yellow Ajah
Tall, arched windows offer a view of the island of Tar Valon and the
confluence of the river Erinin beyond Southharbor, as the river starts on
its journey to Tear. Pots and plants dot the balcony outside the windows.
Chairs have been drawn up near the windows and vases containing bouquets of
of yellow flowers have been placed nearby. Several desks and clusters of
chairs have been distributed around the room, allowing for informal
discussion of Yellow Sisters' research and studies.

Zone: White Tower Upper Floors
Door north: door
A large desk made of fine, thick wood stands across the room from here.
A chair made of red oak rests next to the table. [2]
Jenda Sharaad is standing here.
A Yellow Sister glides past.
A silver-haired Aes Sedai sits here, reading.
Corele Hovian stands here with concern in her eyes.

Jenda gestures at the door with her hand.

The door silently swings shut and lock with a soft *click*.

Jenda takes a seat on her favorite golden chaise lounge.

Eivor smiles at Jenda Sedai as she takes a seat across from her

Jenda says 'Are you well, child?'

Eivor says 'Quite well, I have found direction in my studies, but it comes with some complications'

Jenda tilts her head in question.

Jenda says 'Tell me about these complications. and your newfound direction '

Eivor says 'I would like to apprentice under the Gray Ajah, and before you ask why I'm wasting the time
of a Yellow, there is a reason...'

Jenda laughs softly.

Jenda gestures for you to continue.

Eivor says 'I discovered some old dusty reports in the tower library, reports you were mentioned in'

Jenda says 'oh? '

Jenda arches an eyebrow.

Eivor says 'Particularly one where you and Eldrenia Sedai moderated a conversation between you and the
Rising Sun, regarding...Faiz, I believe?'

Jenda smirks.

Jenda curls her lip.."That report isn't *that* dusty..."

Eivor smirks slightly

Jenda says 'So what about it? '

Eivor says 'In any case, I assume you two took this role not only because Eldrenia Sedai was directly
involves in the altercation, but also because of the disturbing lack of Gray sisters in the Tower'

Jenda grins evilly.

Eivor says 'Given that, I was wondering if you would be willing to take on the role of my mentor in
place of a Gray Ajah member'

Jenda says 'Child What is the thing you learned about the *roles* of the Ajahs? That we all overlap
a bit yes? '

Jenda arches an eyebrow.

Eivor says 'Many times, yes. I think you and I even had a talk about that very topic'

Jenda says 'And what is the motto of the Blue Ajah? '

Eivor ponders on the exact wording of such a motto

Jenda frowns.

Eivor says 'I know of no motto, only that they serve to right injustices and follow causes'

Jenda leans forward and articulates with passion, "To do what must be done!"

Jenda says again more gently..'To do what must be done.'

Eivor says 'Ah, of course, a motto we all should strive to live by'

Jenda says 'And the Yellow's is to Heal.. and I took both of those philosophies. And I did what must
be done. I Healed relations in the face of a bad actor who was suspected long to be a darkfriend. '

Jenda says 'Yes, in the absence of the Grays who are not interested enough in these trying days. To
do what must be done. '

Jenda says 'So knowing this... you can see that you do not really need the Gray Ajah to do what you
wish to do. '

Eivor nods solemnly

Jenda says 'Are you fully committed? To this Grey Ajah who does not feel any passion to their
mission? '

Jenda says 'Speak truly to me and I will help you but know this... I believe I will be owed
something. '

Eivor says 'I am committed to this path Aes Sedai'

Jenda narrows her tilted eyes, annoyed. "Very well. I will mentor you on your path to Aes Sedai.
perhaps you will adjust your misguided trajectory in the process."

Eivor says 'I hope this decision does not disappoint you, I have thought hard about this and while it
was difficult, that is my decision'

Eivor says 'And I thank you for offering your help in guiding me in this matter'

Jenda leans back onto her lounge chair, sizing you up. "Of course it does disappoint me...however. I
will expect some reciprocation in the future."

Jenda says 'Have you began these new tasks the Mistress has constructed?'

Jenda looks at Eivor.

Eivor says 'I have not yet acquired the required merits to begin, I am waiting on many tasks from the
other Ajahs to approve the tasks I have been turned in these last few months'

Eivor says 'In the meantime I am doing what I can to earn additional merits'

Jenda nods slowly...'I see. And remind me. Are there any owed to you by the Yellow?'

Eivor frowns slight and give you a helpless shrug, 'none of my correspondences have been answered,
I do not yet know'

Jenda twists at her waist to reach to the stack of papers on the desk and starts flipping through
them, ignoring you for a time.

mailed to the YellowAjah
Eivor says 'I can tell you what I have done, but it was during the time of transition. All of my deeds
were mailed to the YellowAjah'

Jenda says 'hm'

Jenda says 'Yellow Ajah seems to have made good with you so far. '

Jenda says 'I was the last to award you. '

Jenda says 'And I noted in your record as well...'

Jenda says 'So for now I would suggest firstly getting to interact with as many Aes Sedai as you
can. Keeping a cool head and making peace when there is strife. and sending those logs to me. '

Jenda says 'I will ensure they are posted on your thread. '

Eivor says 'That sounds like a great place for me to start Jenda Sedai, thank you'

Jenda grins at Eivor.

Jenda says 'I expect extra effort, seeing as how I am training you for the benefit of another Ajah.

Jenda says 'Who hasn't bee missed. '

Eivor says 'I understand completely, I know this is...unorthodox '

Eivor says 'May i ask...'

Jenda says 'Accepted i have another appointment. You may go.. and you've come to the right Aes
Sedai. I am anything but orthodox. '

Jenda winks suggestively.

Jenda says 'yes'

Jenda says 'what is it'

Eivor says 'Oh, of course'

Jenda says 'no ask'

Eivor says 'Was there an issue with the few Grays that remained in the Tower to warrant such distaste?'

Jenda tilts her head in question.

Jenda says 'Elaborate, child? '

Eivor says 'Some things you've said during our conversation...more than me choosing them, as if you or
some other sisters may have had a bad experience with former Grays?'

Jenda smirks.

Jenda says 'Bad experiences are not a problem. They simply are not around and other Ajahs do the job
just fine. '

Jenda says 'Other than that you must know some Ajahs are jealous of their work.. whether they do the
work or not. '

Jenda winks suggestively.

Eivor says 'Well I hope to fill the void nonetheless and perhaps, with effort, it can be a role to be
proud of in the Tower once more'

Eivor says 'I won't keep you any longer, though, I know you are extremely busy'

Jenda says 'As you say.. i cannot imagine anyone being so passionate about a job any Aes Sedai does
on a regular basis. so much as to join that Ajah. But for now you're going through a phase.. '

Jenda grins evilly.

Jenda says 'Good night, Accepted. '

Jenda gestures with her hand.

Eivor smirks.

The door smoothly swings open.

Eivor nods at her.

Eivor curtseys before her.

Continuing Down the Hall
Doors painted with a different flower line the length of the corridor and a
large pair of matching doors to the south stand between this hallway and
the Yellow Ajah's solarium. The pale white floor tiles have been inlaid
with a gilded flame of Tar Valon. Mirrored perfectly on the east and west
walls are vases with yellow and white roses and above each vase, a
magnificent picture of a woman wearing a yellow shawl.
