A Quiet House
This is a neat and well arranged house set in the middle of the city. The
house is well furnished, and the room is centered on a large table. A
couch and several chairs surround the table. Bookshelves are stuffed
full with various tomes. The door lies to the south.

In the Private Quarters
This is a very tidy room, lined with neatly made bunks and sparkling clean.
Jurien the Innkeeper must clean this area constantly. The floor is scrubbed
clean and the wood shines with a glowing patina from years of travel and
care. A few pieces of furniture stand in the center of the room to be used
by Wisdoms and students alike.

Vhalerie says 'now then, what is it that I can help you with today?'

Penzei while savoring the flavor she sets the cake down and begins speaking after she stops chewing,
" Well, I am Penzei Perets, I am a Yellow Ajah Apprentice with the White Tower. "

Penzei says 'I've come seeking the knowledge of the wisdoms about your view on rural and small village
medical issues, when these issues become emergencies and how often they become overwhelmed.'

Penzei says 'Some say the Yellow Ajah doesn't do enough to... help the sick and injured of the world and
we are... trying to make changes that will have a positive effect on the land!'

Vhalerie says 'very nice to meet you Penzei, I have great respect for the Aes Sedai, none more than
for the Yellow Ajah.'

Vhalerie says 'One thing that my mentor had always taught me was to be aware of the workings
elsewhere in the world, and I was actually sent to Tar Valon as part of my studies as well'

Vhalerie strokes her chin thoughtfully.

Penzei smiles happily.

Vhalerie says 'the topic can certainly be a delicate one, do you mind if I take more of an
abstract/philisophical viewpoint on it?'

Penzei says 'Absolutely! '

Vhalerie says 'so the way that I personally see it, and i certainly dont speak for all in this, but
I have noticed that people who have more than one option always prefer to have someone they are
close to when they are at their most vulnerable'

Vhalerie says 'yet those who have no one to turn to are much less choosy'

Vhalerie says 'so when it comes to small towns and such, if they have someone they know and trust
already, they tend to get very uptight when someone from outside comes "meddling" as they see it'

Penzei fiddles with her dress somehow producing a case of parchment and quill, of which she opens
and starts taking notes.

Vhalerie says 'which is when they have a local Wisdom, then they would rather have the one who grew
up in their hometown and that they know, rather than have someone from far away, but for those that
do not have a Wisdom in their area, when they are hurt they will turn to anyone with the ability and
inclination to help'

Vhalerie says 'so i would presume that THOSE individuals would tend to have the opinion that you
stated, while those that have a Wisdom watching over them are likely to wish being left alone '

Vhalerie says 'oh dear i completely forgot the other half of your question, I do get sidetracked
sometimes'

Penzei nods continuing to take notes on her parchment with a slight giggle.

Penzei says 'Please continue!'

Vhalerie says 'so with medical issues, there is very, very few issues that the proper application of
herbs and treatment cannot handle'

Penzei says 'Might I interject ?'

Vhalerie says 'it may not all be as flashy or as fast as a Yellow Ajah mending a broken bone with
the One Power, but the Creator made a solution to every problem out there, its just a matter of
finding them and applying them correctly'

Vhalerie says 'of course!'

Penzei says 'I humbly agree with you and for most ailments, it is often far faster to treat them with
tradition herbs and poultices, and we don't seek to undermine that. We actually would love to help
you in these endeavors so the rural communities can have access to more of these life saving herbs.
We don't want to... get involved in the small things... and like you said the Creator made a
solution to every problem. What we would like to see is when you have exhausted your supplies and
reached the limit to '

Penzei says 'your abilities... the power of the Tower could quite literally open a gateway and medical
reinforcement could arrive almost instantaneously should we receive word that help is needed! '

Penzei says 'All we would need is... open communication between us, as we all live to serve the people
of the land!'

Vhalerie disappears into the void. Starting tic timer.

Vhalerie has returned.

Vhalerie ponders life, the universe, and everything.

Vhalerie says 'yes, I personally would have no qualms about asking for help from the White Tower, if
it was needed. As of yet I havent seen anything that the Tower would be able to help with that I
couldnt handle, but looking at the most recent outbreak in Cairhien, if something like that were
also to happen in Murandy where my village is, then I could certainly see the benefit of being able
to call in assistance'

Penzei says 'That is EXACTLY the kind of support we are looking to provide'

Vhalerie says 'you speak for the Yellow Ajah when you offer Aes Sedai gating in to help on a moments
notice?'

Penzei says 'As I am an accepted I cannot actually speak for the Tower... but this task was provided to
me by Lady Kathala Sedai of the Yellow Ajah and is in fact what we would like to accomplish... I
suppose it would look alittle... intimidating if a bunch of Yellow Ajah suddenly showed up and
started asking questions... if you know what I mean'

Penzei giggles.

Vhalerie says 'yes, I appreciate the discretion, our small communities do tend to prefer their
solitude, no matter how pretty the thread in the pattern, the strong threads always tend to pull the
little ones tight when they are too close'

Penzei nods in agreement.

Penzei says 'Well spoken!'

Vhalerie says 'but certainly if something dire came about it would be wonderful to have that line of
communication open'

Vhalerie says 'is there any method of communication that you had in mind? assuming we are prepping
for an emergency situation we would want to get word to you very quickly'

Penzei says 'Often the quickest and easiest form of communication is a simple pigeon, so as fast as a
bird can travel we will be doubly fast!'

Vhalerie says 'my thoughts exactly, although with homing pidgeons they need to learn a home to
return to, would you be willing to either watch over a handful of birds to learn the area around the
Tower, or to find someone there who will raise them and return them back to us when they have grown?
That way they will learn to return to Tar Valon and not return here when released'

Penzei says 'I am almost certain those arrangements could be made'

Vhalerie says 'very well, we actually just had a birthing recently, so there are many new
fledgelings that could be sent'

Vhalerie says 'lets go get them'

Vhalerie clambers to her feet.

Vhalerie beckons everyone to follow her.

Penzei stands up.

Before a Well-Kept House
The cobbled streets of Whitebridge bend around the curve of the city walls,
the wide lane dusty and worn. To the north lies a large, well-presented
house, a bundle of herbs neatly bound with a blue and white checked ribbon
hanging in the window. The street continues to the east and west.

The wide avenue opens to the west onto a large field in Whitebridge's park.
To the east the avenue runs along the inside of the city walls.

Uniformly short and even blades of grass cover a flat expanse along the
southern edge of Whitebridge. The clearly well-tended space sprawls north
and west. A small path runs along the south edge of the verge, eventually
turning into the paved road which runs along the city wall to the east. A
few shops cluster on the south border of the footpath, facing the gardens.

A field of tall, lush plants sways gently in the breeze.
A campfire burns slowly, sending smoke into the sky.

Whitebridge Park
A large expanse of green grass and flowers stretches out to the south and
the west, while a narrow, cobbled street begins running northward. A low
stone wall has been erected along the eastern border of the park, isolating
the back yards of shops and houses from the open public space. A few gaps
in the wall, however, show that some value access to the park more than the
dubious privacy the wall provides. Just westwards, hedgerows square off a
quaint flower garden, while an open green space rolls away to the south.

Wide Cross Street
Colorfully painted houses are the most common building on this street, and
each seems to have been painted in its own design. Lavender mouldings with
yellow trim on a green background here, robin's egg blue background with
mauve and scarlet balustrades there, make quite a colorful scene. The short
sidestreet which opens up towards the west is quite drab by comparison. To
the south, the road appears to terminate at a wide open grassy space.

Wide Cross Street
This wide cross street continues to the south, where you can see what
appears to be a park. Just to the north is a large square, which is
generally the busiest place in Whitebridge. You can see the White Bridge
itself as the eastern foot sets down in the middle of town. Small shops and
homes line a wide, cobbled street that runs north and south through the
town of Whitebridge. A short distance to the north, the street terminates
in a wide square, into which the namesake of the town, the White Bridge,
descends. The surrounding residences, this close to the square, are tidy
and well-kept, a few of which reach three stories in height, though most
merely have two. Colorful flowerboxes rest under several windows.

Magnificent Square
The broad, milk-white arch that gives the town its name dominates
Whitebridge as much close up as it does from afar. The eastern foot of the
White Bridge settles down right in the middle of a large town square, and
extends up and off to the west. The square is paved with even flagstones,
worn down by generations of feet and wagon wheels. Shops and inns dot the
square and the surrounding streets, which lead off in every direction. A
large banner has been attached to a staff, depicting a map of Whitebridge.

face anything I cant handle.'

Penzei says 'Thank you!'

The Watchman leaves up. uu

Vhalerie says 'and thank you as well! I hope to hear from you in a month or two when those have
finished growing and have learned your city'

Penzei says 'I will report back to the Yellow Ajah and if you would spread word among the Wisdoms...
perhaps it will not be difficult for everything to come together!'

Penzei smiles happily.

Vhalerie says 'well that is the advantage of the pidgeons, everyone that you hand one to will have
access to send you a message'

Penzei nods in agreement.

Vhalerie says 'but i will mention it to them beforehand so that they know it is coming and can make
their decisions'

Penzei looks giddy at the mention of all of this happening.

Vhalerie smiles happily.

Vhalerie pats you on cheek.

Penzei says 'I... have been working really hard on this!'

Vhalerie says 'dont look too happy! you still have plenty of work to do, those pidgeons will need to
be cared for'

Penzei giggles.

Penzei says 'ofcourse!'

The Starling arrives at the docks.

Vhalerie smiles contendedly.

The Watchman has arrived from above.
Penzei says 'Is there anything else you would like me to pass on to my superiors before I go ?'

The Watchman leaves up. uu

Vhalerie says 'no, i think that is a great step, an offer of aid without any three oaths binding,
and without anyone feeling that they are tread on, with a new line of communication in case of
emergencies, I am happy with what happened today.'

Penzei says 'I couldn't agree more!'

Penzei curtseys to her audience.

Vhalerie says 'and you can also feel free to reach me in case you ever need help, I cannot speak for
my sisters but can contact them if the need arises and can offer my own support'
