H/H bugfix, new RP command: pose, and LS criminals & noquit
Two code changes are live, and a third is coming: A bugfix to the shortened h/h timer. It will actually be 2 tics now. A new RP command, pose, inspired by Itesh. The help file is pasted below: And, as of the next reboot, when engaging in same-side PK... Known Darkfriends only give 5 minute noquit to...

Balefire - don't use it (and ask for a reset)
It seems there was at least 1 character that still has balefire practiced (it has not been able to be practiced since the new taint revisions, and was never usable by players). While balefire is a very low chance weave replacement effect of very high taint levels, at the point where you would not be...

Code updates: Doors, Scalping/Butchering, and Hone/Harden
A few quality of life code changes are now live: You can now interact with any door via the "door" alias, regardless of whether it has that name or not. For example, "open door east" will open any door to the east, even if it is named "gate", "bush", "hiddenhatch", "deadtrees", etc etc. This works f...

Re: Faceoff update
There was a bug with mobs chasing that was introduced here, where you would be immediately put into combat when a mob entered the room. That has been fixed. In addition, I made some other optimizations that improves the efficiency of mob hunting generally, which might help (minorly) with lag in situ...

Stones
A stones board is now available (again) in the library of the Queen's Blessing inn, in Caemlyn.
HELP STONES for usage.
(This code is from the 90s, so any errors should be forwarded, to uhhh let's say Itesh. Yes definitely Itesh.)

Re: LS Rogues
As a non-Fermin quality level historic player, I do find movement management more challenging on human rogues than trolls. That said, I also feel like the history of the game has been to not focus enough on what top quality players can do. ie. channelers claiming broken, unbalanced skills were fine...

Re: Dirks gate
I'm going to lock this thread because it is not going to be productive: there are a small number of people (Atkins/Harun: neither of you) who will debate this to death in ways that border on houseguest rule violations. The reality is that: - This mechanic existed for many years (rare/valuable eq -> ...

LS Remorts and Blademasters
Wanted to get a pulse check from the community on something. A caveat that this is all very fuzzy and subject to completely change or maybe never happen at all. We have tossed around the idea of a few different LS remorts upstairs, geared towards warriors and hunters (female channelers would be inel...

LS Rogues
Hey all, One of the consistent pieces of feedback we have received is that LS (and SS) rogues are much harder to play than their DS counterparts, mainly due to movement management. Ideally, LS rogues are easier to play than DS rogues (since DS is the "for experienced players" side). We've tossed aro...
