Re: The Ultimate Betrayal.... (Is full log up until I died)

Lots of hard work over a long time, congratulations to both of you! Was a chaotic series of events there. We were very surprised on DS when it happened, and it certainly looked like it caught LS by surprise based on the log. Interestingly, there wasn't any collaboration between DS and Lis on this on...

Re: Discussion Topic: Upcoming Weapon Changes

I know when I was thinking about weapon changes previously, the numbers seemed fairly good in a straight up fight. From what I could tell, abs would beat most combo setups straight up. But, I've been trying to reconcile my thoughts and experiences with the numbers, and everyone's experiences so far....

Re: Change to Master Damage

@ Thore log: You stood there taking damage and not dealing any until it was wound vs scratched before you started bashing ernestly. Can't expect to catch up vs most setups if each of you is in decent eq. Especially when you're down to 77 abs from 84. In addition, early zerking is relatively useless ...

Re: Change to Master Damage

Asked Itesh about the master stab thing, and he said they have not changed the location where the extra damage enters the calculation. So, it should be the same as before (e.g., an extra flat damage to stab instead of a 2d5 or whatever master damage was)

Re: Game Balance to Encourage Wholist Balance

Yeah, would be cool if it worked like the TP system. I do like the tp to qp conversion that tokens give, would be nice if that was the default with some scaling changes. But, alas, it's all just a pipe dream :P

Re: Discussion Topic: Upcoming Weapon Changes

Yeah I was surprised when I ran the numbers a master warder gave me for his stats. With dst and warhammer, he had 64% chance to bash 146 db brave offensive. Granted, those are rares, but not uncommon for a master to wield.

Re: Questions about the shifting focus

I was thinking about how to reach a broader audience with RP based qps, and Jael's idea seems pretty solid. I was thinking along the lines of broader, automated guilds you could join. Like the woodworkers/mining guilds, maybe there is a hunters guild where you learn to track, a warriors guild where ...

Re: Questions about the shifting focus

My personal feeling is that RP is tied to clanning in a weird way. Clan RP is pretty straightforward, but there are tons of interesting rp that can happen outside of clan activities. Having rewards tied to qps is pretty limiting in terms of enticing people to develop characters prior to clanning. I ...

Re: Stab Thread

To be fair, the current state of daggers is pretty solid. Max stab damages from the spreadsheet: Jeweled Dagger : 435 Gleaming Steel : 390 steel sai : 390 kris : 420 jade : 540 red stone : 525 dirks/basilard/cc/: 480 Hurt to dead is very realistic now, with most daggers. The mud is a more dangerous ...

Re: Argle bargle

Haha , didn't realize your kit was so sparse. Those two parried hits at commie surprised me. Giz didn't have the search to open from inside to let me in, and when he ripped he told me you were super crit so I tried to get lucky with the bash there at the end. Link wasn't good enough to cancel when y...
