Deimon bellows 'Spread cheeks not hate, Kilgore your first!'
This is where punctuation makes a difference. "Your first" vs "you're first"... :!:

Re: Are players leaving?

I've just been busy with RL. I figured out a health issue and remedied it, which resulted in a burst of energy that I used to deep clean my home from top to bottom, sometimes well into the evening, after which I didn't have the energy to play. I'm on a few times a week still, but I commit less time ...

Re: What are your wotmud goals?

I don't currently have any character goals, but I did just achieve one I'd been working towards for a few years, which was buying Cairhien 50 qps. Not my achievement alone, mind. I always set extra goals on normal gameplay, because just normal gameplay makes things too easy, repetitive and bland for...

Re: Wheel of Time season 1 episode 8 "The Eye of the World" season finale

The weave that was slapped on Moiraine was a shield weave. It was the same grid-like thing as they put on Logain. Iirc, Ishamael didn't have the taint on his weave though, which was a neat detail.

Yeah, and if forcing the birth of the Dragon didn't succed. at worst he would make Randland unfriendly towards Aiel and vice versa.

Re: Wheel of Time season 1 episode 8 "The Eye of the World" season finale

I will say that I do appreciate the use of the Old Tongue in the opening sequence of the finale, but I dont appreciate the fact that closed caption had to be turned on in order to see the translation. That's not what CC subtitles are supposed to be used for. If the show was standards compliant, the...

Re: Ishamael's cycle, the Corenne and the Aiel War.

I was re-reading the Eye of the World and came across this: Loial, in Caemlyn: 'There was a man came to Stedding Shangtai, a little time back. This was not unusual in itself at the time, since a great many refugees had come to the Spine of the World, fleeing what you humans call the Aiel War.' 'He w...

Re: Wheel of Time season 1 episode 8 "The Eye of the World" season finale

Anyone else think Matt is going to get super changed based on his snip of a scene? No, I didn't walk away thinking that. They used old footage of when he entered TV. It's probably the only thing they could use in a context of the future :P . Everyone has more or less made their choice for the Light...

Re: Wheel of Time season 1 episode 8 "The Eye of the World" season finale

I finished my re-read right before the show aired and that was a disappointment, in a way. Balthamel eats it. Aginor crumbles. Ishamael shows off Kari al'Thor trying to manipulate Rand, then *snip*. Tbh, the book itself is not very impressive either, but... it has the scene at Tarwin's Gap that make...

Oldbie log, wisdom lore saves the day.

Posting because Daal mentioned it. * R HP:Healthy MV:Full > Outside the Eastern Gate of Amador The tall gates of Amador stand to the west, the sounds of the bustling city drifting out from beyond the entrance. This narrow dirt road leads north, surrounded by the green fields of Amadicia. [ obvious ...
