He is an executive producer and they have committed 270 million, so I expect it to happen. Now, how good it will be, or how many movies they break it into, who knows.

Impersonations: A Story of the Praxis by Walter Jon Williams is a really good golden age-like scifi.

Terms of Enlistment by Marko Kloos which is an entertaining miltary sf.

+1 on Nemesis Games.

Re: Mangler's awesome book thread.

Saga of Recluse it depends which books. The most recent two books, definitely, but I really enjoyed a lot of them (particularly the two I say to start with).

Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn is hard to say, since I read it 15 years ago... but I liked it then.

Re: Mangler's awesome book thread.

Readings! I recently finished 'The Liar's Key', book 2 of the Red Prince from Mark Lawrence. Still enjoyable enough, but nothing special. I far preferred his Broken Empire trilogy. Also read 'A Darker Shade of Magic' which I'd been hearing good things about. Really enjoyed it, great world-building....

Re: Announcement from Harriet

He puts a lot of his time and effort into his charity work, which he finds more important than the writing. At this point he says he does the writing because it helps the charity, and he wishes he could just do philanthropy full time.
