Wow, this thread literally took me 3 weeks to read, that's how much free time I have these days. I've left this game a couple of times, and got sucked back in by it. Imm abuse, boredom, drama, stress. The truth is that this game has an uncanny specialness to it that does keep people playing for year...

Can that awful mobol that prevents gold duping be triggered off of server countdown instead of time so that if there's a crash we needn't suffer!?

Along the lines of lost weapons... I once tried to use throwing weapons in pk. I accidentally threw my triple bladed dagger at Scrat. If you're a solo player, having a rogue for solo smobbing is pretty nice, and you can always keep yourself (and your alts) kitted no matter what setup you have.
