because elysia already said mobol cant handle the variable, thats what harker originally suggested. The quest item I suggested would use more pieces of mobol, but gets rid of any moving parts, as an example that is tamper-proof if the keys are heavy enough that the mob can only hold 2 keys at a time...

This happens in many different smobs with mobol sourced damage (Roland as a common example) where the mobol emote will follow you into the next room but you will only take the damage if you are still in the room with the smob. I am not 100% sure if tear dwellers is the same way but it can be tested ...
