I think this is the entire point over the years. Time will tell if it's the correct decision/direction for the game.

Did we really regularly hit 300? Perhaps I wasn't playing then, I suppose, but I don't rembmer numbers that high. Welcome back and good luck! Would love to see the MUD more active, despite my inability to do much more than stat while I'm at work. Cheers.

@Kitiara - yup, the "RP rewards" system is a huge chore. I know some staff acknowledge it as I've spoken to them about it, and I know they wish they could get a better coded solution in place.
