* R HP:Healthy MV:Tiring > The Spine of the World
Here, the Spine gets a bit more rugged as you cross over. To the north and
south, the Spine stays as mountains do, craggy and desolate save a few
species indigenous to the area. A cool breeze blows across the Spine,
stalling the heat for a few minutes.
[ obvious exits: N S ]
A gray palfrey prances skittishly nearby, being ridden by you.
A scaly brown and yellow lizard sits here, fading into the clay around it.

A puppy has arrived from the south.

* R HP:Healthy MV:Tiring > Before an Abandoned Hut
The dirt path curves south here, and halts a bit eastward in front of an
old hut. A few untended plants grow here, almost as if there was a garden
once, though how that is possible on the Spine is beyond reason.

You feel an odd disturbance in the Pattern here.

You wonder if you can follow the residue.
Some obvious almost day-old tracks of a Horse leaving south.
