Smoke… falling. He woke with a start, the room about him sheathed in mist top and bottom, odd silvery clouds that seemed almost solid. His mind raced.
‘Where the hell am I?’
He looked down, only to realize he was naked as the day he was born. And then it began.

Under the Aringill Wall
A wooden hut stands here under the wall, painted in the colors of Andor.
Unlike most major towns or cities, Aringill has no gate but just a
guardpost to secure its walls, which are mighty and surround almost the
entire town. A grey slabbed road can be seen going into the town to the
east, while the main road in the land to Caemlyn, Tar Valon, Whitebridge,
and even Baerlon starts just to the west.

Caemlyn Road before Aringill
Aringill marks the easternmost point of the Caemlyn road, which snakes its
way through the entire breadth of Andor, eventually reaching Baerlon, far
to the west. The way into Aringill is visible to the east, a guardpost in
the massive wall that surrounds most of the town. The back of a farm
building is visible to the south, but there is no way into it from here.
Some trees can be seen to the north, whilst to the west the Caemlyn road
starts its journey through the land.

The Caemlyn road, packed with travellers of every description, continues

The road is bisected by two country paths, one towards some dense bushes to

by wild countryside at this point, with aeon old trees visible to the
north, and hills to the south. Both are distant, and the way there is
unpenetrable, so you can only go further on the road either westwards,
towards Caemlyn the capital of Andor, or eastwards, to Aringill.

An Oak-Beamed Manorhouse
The gilded oak panneling and the sweeping hand-carved staircase make it
obvious that the occupant has money, and plenty of it. A coat of arms is
proudly displayed above both the doors to the south and north, and it seem
likely that this vineyard belongs to a member of the Cairhien nobility.

The Tastings Gallery
Up the staircase, overlooking the great entrance hall of the manorhouse,
courtiers, connoisseurs and merchants gather here once a year when the new
vintages are ready to be sampled before going on the market. Oak dressers
proudly display cherished bottles, the best of the previous vintages, and a
tray with crystal wine-goblets stands ready to be used in the next tastings
session. The leaded windows overlook southern Cairhien, taking in all the
vineyards further south, and the balcony overlooks the courtyard.

The smell of raw meat is stifling, even more so during the hot summer days.
A helper is busy in the back chopping up various cuts from a slaughtered
animal. The meat looks heavily salted to prevent the food from going bad.

The lane stops its winding through houses as it flows into an intersection
to the east. To the west several shops and a tall building, likely the
local inn, mark the commercial side of Glancor. To the east of the
intersection is primarily the residential district formed of row houses.

Caemlyn Central Square
You are in a large stone square, right in the middle of Caemlyn's outer
city. You see a wide boulevard to the north, and the path to the inner
city. There are a number of shops around you. The density of the population
is really quite incredible. It's almost impossible to relax as you are
being constantly bumped and jostled. From here you can really get a good
view of the outer city, and this just makes you appreciate the older inner
city all the more.

the field, although not growing too well, with cracked and twisted branches.

wandering path.

On a Path
More trees become visible on the small meandering path, but they are
wilted and twisted reflections of their normal oak cousins. Light along
the path is slowly squeezed out by the looming branches of the trees.
Dead plants and leaves coat the ground below the trees, the smell of
decay is present in the air. The path begins to twist more to the east,
a grassy field stretches far out to the west.

On a Path
A gentle breeze passes among the branches above, creating dancing patterns
of green across the canopy above. A myriad of trees inhabit the area as you
go deeper on into the forest, many of which you can you name although one
seems rather odd looking and stands to the north. A quiet glade can be seen
off to the west and the path runs futher to the east.

Bend in a Path
Patches of plants and grass cohabit with the surrounding trees, and
the path begins to soften as the soil gains in fertility. Calls from
various animals seem muted and distant, the sounds coming from all
around you. The pale greens and greys of lichen and moss are seen
dotting rocks and fallen trees. The path takes a turn northward and
then continues to the west.

The Forgotten Road
The sounds of the forest surround you as you enter. This appears to have
been a road at one time from the way the trees are smaller and younger
here. The road is mostly overgrown with grass and bushes, especially to the
east. There is not much sign of human use in recent years. There are many game
trails though, so hunting should be good. The road leads west, deeper
into Braem Wood.

The Forgotten Braem
The are many signs of animals and birds here. Up in the crook of a tree you
see a birds nest. From somewhere in the canopy a robin calls, Chirrup-
Chirralee-Chirrup. To the west the forest continues. To the south is
a forgotten road.

The Forgotten Braem
The forest seems peaceful here, yet despite the peaceful appearance you can
plainly see a wolf track on the ground here. Perhaps it would be best to
stay alert. The forest continues east and west of here. To the south is

the patrons. There is one open table stuck in the corner where you might be
able to sip a quick drink. A small sign hangs from the wall.

Perhaps the most crowded place in all of Tar Valon, the square is packed with
people shopping along Merchant Square. In the square is a fountain, which
some people lean against to rest or merely watch all that is surrounding
them. The White Tower lies a bit to the north, but people take no more notice
of it than the other buildings along the road.

sitting at tables in the center and others at the bar seem intent on
drinking as much as possible.

view is simply spectacular. The number of people that populate this huge city
is beyond all belief. The walkway continues to the north.

Inside the Western Gate of Caemlyn
You are just inside the West Gate of Caemlyn. You stop and stare at the sheer
magnitude of the city. Caemlyn could swallow several other cities whole
without much of a ripple. People are streaming through the gates and the city
looks crowded beyond belief. You can see high in the center of Caemlyn the
Inner City and the royal Palace. An outer road leads north and south along
the city walls, and a wide boulevard leads east into the city's heart.

Stone Steps Leading to the Great Hall of the Council
A wide staircase sweeps up to the entrance of the Great Hall of the
Council. The steps grow wider as they get closer to the bottom and the
Great Square of Tammuz, creating a pyramid effect. There is an entrance
hall just east of here, through a set of large bronze double doors.

engravings covering its entire surface. The numerals in the chart represent
mathematical equations, which coupled with the guardian ter'angreal can be

Madding. Marble stairs lead up into the halls of the palace and through the
arched doorway in the east the guardian itself stands erected beneath the
magnificent blue dome of the Hall of Counsels.

The Bleeding Chamber
The chamber is everything the name the bandits call it by suggests. The
floor is sloped towards the center, where a circular drain rests. You can
only guess its purpose of an easy clean-up. Rows upon rows of evil
looking mechanisms line the floor, waiting to be used in the plying of
the souls wretched enough to find themselves here. Sharp instruments
adorn the walls and ceiling, and there are more chains here then you’ve
ever seen.

Road Above Falme
As the road rises to the top of this hill it affords a good view of Falme,
and the plains before it. The plains appear to be disturbed by trampling.
The pattern is suggestive of military maneuvers. In the distance the harbor
appears to be packed with ships, many of them quite large, and of an odd bulky
design. The road leads west towards Falme, or east into the ever more rugged
hills of Toman Head.

The town gate of Falme is to the west. It looks sturdy, but not impenetrable
in the event of a serious siege. It and the town wall are probably more of a

A wooden hut stands here under the wall, painted in the colors of Andor.

Aringill marks the easternmost point of the Caemlyn road, which snakes its
way through the entire breadth of Andor, eventually reaching Baerlon, far
to the west. The way into Aringill is visible to the east, a guardpost in
the massive wall that surrounds most of the town. The back of a farm
building is visible to the south, but there is no way into it from here.
Some trees can be seen to the north, whilst to the west the Caemlyn road
starts its journey through the land.

An Oak-Beamed Manorhouse
The gilded oak panneling and the sweeping hand-carved staircase make it
obvious that the occupant has money, and plenty of it. A coat of arms is
proudly displayed above both the doors to the south and north, and it seem
likely that this vineyard belongs to a member of the Cairhien nobility.

Up the staircase, overlooking the great entrance hall of the manorhouse,
courtiers, connoisseurs and merchants gather here once a year when the new
vintages are ready to be sampled before going on the market. Oak dressers

tray with crystal wine-goblets stands ready to be used in the next tastings
session. The leaded windows overlook southern Cairhien, taking in all the
vineyards further south, and the balcony overlooks the courtyard.

Caemlyn Central Square
You are in a large stone square, right in the middle of Caemlyn's outer
city. You see a wide boulevard to the north, and the path to the inner
city. There are a number of shops around you. The density of the population
is really quite incredible. It's almost impossible to relax as you are
being constantly bumped and jostled. From here you can really get a good
view of the outer city, and this just makes you appreciate the older inner
city all the more.

decay is present in the air. The path begins to twist more to the east,
a grassy field stretches far out to the west.

A gentle breeze passes among the branches above, creating dancing patterns
of green across the canopy above. A myriad of trees inhabit the area as you
go deeper on into the forest, many of which you can you name although one
seems rather odd looking and stands to the north. A quiet glade can be seen
off to the west and the path runs futher to the east.

Bend in a Path
Patches of plants and grass cohabit with the surrounding trees, and
the path begins to soften as the soil gains in fertility. Calls from
various animals seem muted and distant, the sounds coming from all
around you. The pale greens and greys of lichen and moss are seen
dotting rocks and fallen trees. The path takes a turn northward and
then continues to the west.

The Forgotten Road
The sounds of the forest surround you as you enter. This appears to have
been a road at one time from the way the trees are smaller and younger
here. The road is mostly overgrown with grass and bushes, especially to the
east. There is not much sign of human use in recent years. There are many game
trails though, so hunting should be good. The road leads west, deeper
into Braem Wood.

The are many signs of animals and birds here. Up in the crook of a tree you
see a birds nest. From somewhere in the canopy a robin calls, Chirrup-

A vast black chart covers the four walls of this room with white enameled
engravings covering its entire surface. The numerals in the chart represent
mathematical equations, which coupled with the guardian ter'angreal can be
used to triangulate the position of any channeling done within miles of Far
Madding. Marble stairs lead up into the halls of the palace and through the
arched doorway in the east the guardian itself stands erected beneath the
magnificent blue dome of the Hall of Counsels.

picturesque quality of the valley, as though it had been painted rather
than formed.

The Bleeding Chamber
The chamber is everything the name the bandits call it by suggests. The
floor is sloped towards the center, where a circular drain rests. You can
only guess its purpose of an easy clean-up. Rows upon rows of evil
looking mechanisms line the floor, waiting to be used in the plying of
the souls wretched enough to find themselves here. Sharp instruments
adorn the walls and ceiling, and there are more chains here then you’ve
ever seen.

Common Room
The room is large, having two fires going at either side of the room.
Most of the tables are occupied by customers, though there are a few
open here and there. Carvings along the wall depict scenes of peaceful
woods. Your mouth begins to water at the sight and smell of some dishes
being served here. This, supposedly, is one of the best places to eat in
Tar Valon. People can be seen coming in and out to the east and
the main foyer of the Bean Tree Inn.

In a northeasterly direction, the Toman Head Road transverses through the
peninsula of Toman Head, weaving in between the hills and the beach. The

Road Above Falme
As the road rises to the top of this hill it affords a good view of Falme,
and the plains before it. The plains appear to be disturbed by trampling.
The pattern is suggestive of military maneuvers. In the distance the harbor
appears to be packed with ships, many of them quite large, and of an odd bulky
design. The road leads west towards Falme, or east into the ever more rugged
hills of Toman Head.

Road Before Falme
The road becomes broad and hard packed as it crosses the plains before
Falme. The smell of saltwater and other less savory seaport smells reach
your nose when the breeze stirs. To the west is the town gate of Falme, to

Road Before the Gate
The town gate of Falme is to the west. It looks sturdy, but not impenetrable
in the event of a serious siege. It and the town wall are probably more of a
tool of the local guard, protection against bandits, rather than armies.
to either side of the gate however, there are open fields with evidence of
military drilling by forces much larger than a town militia. To the east
a rough, rocky road leads off into the hills of Toman Head.
