In this case Jiera is NOT a willing participant. Her background RP in the Tower was of being an escaped Damane and it took her years (irl) to heal. (Her reaction was quite fun when upon being inducted she was originally told she had to OBEY the Laras, the MISTRESS of Novices. )

Part of the fun in RPing a damane this time around is that now Jiera has had Tower training and so it shall take longer this time for her to lose her sense of self, purpose, desire to return to the Tower (rply as of course now that she is declanned she can never return logistically), etc., all the while trying to pretend to be a 'good damane' and trying to bury her true feelings as much as possible (similar to how an AS may hide feelings from her bonded Warder).

Of course her Sul'dam senses her feelings and punishes her accordingly. But for now her Sul'dam is trying various ways to break her and for now is even calling her 'Jiera' rather than 'Pookie'. Her Sul'dam is determined that this time Jiera will be properly broken until such a time any desire to escape is gone. (Even if Jiera had been with a different sul'dam for months at the time of her original escape, her current Sul'dam still feels some shame which is why she spent years finding and then recapturing Jiera.)

Anyways, I'm just sharing so some can see some of what is going on inside my head as I rp, not just Jiera as the Damane, but also her imaginary Sul'dam mob.

Really putting the emphasis on consensual and platonic domination eh?

I apologise for posting this without reading the entire thing - in a hurry so just briefly - for ideas about roleplaying damane, do look up the literature on (consensual!) domination and submission - there is a lot of creative, interesting stuff out there (and doesn't have to be sexual). RJ picked it off that and imo was aware of the nuances of this stuff and hence had damane who WANTED to be damane. In many D/s scenarios it's actually the submissive (the damane) who has the power - it would be SO interesting to roleplay that - showing how it's the damane who has the power even though to everyone else it looks like the sul'dam does.

Anyway fun stuff and I wish I had time to write this stuff - so interesting from a human interaction perspective. Will read your log sometime for sure. Thanks for posting!

For rpers, it's useful to set it as an alias. Well leaving out the blah blah blah part.

I think there is one in SCS however I cannot get it to return anything to me. Here are the three examples I tried. I am 100% positive I have no idea how this is supposed to work :p

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll continue to think about it and also try a few different things.

And I LOVE the rp mob. Used to use them a lot in the Tower...I think it was tell semote blah? (If not, I can look it up in a log later)

I almost spit out my food at the thought of Jiera being a well-behaved damane (at least at this point in time). Granted I'm party to her inner thoughts, motivations, and internal struggles.

It shall be interesting once a few damane are alone in their kennel to talk. It will be a whole other layer of rp that sul'dam won't get to play.

Also a good idea. Not sure which rooms have them. There's possibly one Falme Square. But there's unlikely to be any Seandar - maybe SCS?

And in order to shorten emotes, I would probably just not emote your sul'dam speaking much. Just get permission to speak on your own behalf every so often in the roleplay - which your Sul'dam will give because you're a well-behaved Damane - and don't have the Sul'dam speak much at all.

Damane roleplay will be a challenge.

But you could try -

emote looks to her Sul'dam for permission to respond.

emote smiles happily as (Sul'dam) acknowledges permission.

Roleplay on as normal with occasional checking for permission to speak/act.
