Tower Square
This side of the square is the southern section of the Tower Square.
In the center is the walled off White Tower. To the south a large
boulevard opens up leading to the Southharbor. To the north you see
the southern gate of the tower grounds. The square continues east
and west.
A large banner rests here, depicting a map of Tar Valon.
[ obvious exits: N E S W ]
North: A warder stands nearby, calm yet poised to leap into battle.
East: A worker busily earns a day's pay.
West: A crow is here flying around.
A marble bench, flecked with gold and bronze, adorns the floor.
An oil lamp, set in a steel cage, hangs from a high wooden pole.
An elaborately sculpted marble fountain splashes merrily.
A stout wooden barrel stands nearby.
Trysstianna the Journey Accepted is standing here.
The Tar Valon town crier stands here, spreading the news.
Meiffret has arrived from the west.
Meiffret runs directly into the marble bench.
Meiffret squeals, 'YEEE-OWWWW!'
Meiffret rubs his shins vigorously.
Meiffret sniffs sadly.
Trysstianna starts suddenly from her meditative trance sitting criss crossed on said bench.
Trysstianna drawls 'Wha?'
Meiffret sits down heavily on the bench.
Meiffret looks at his legs.
Meiffret frowns deeply.
Trysstianna glances in confusion to the man beside her.
Trysstianna drawls 'Excuse me sir are you all right? Do you require medical attention?'
Meiffret squeals, 'EEEE-YAHHH'.
Meiffret jumps up excitedly.
Meiffret says 'You're here!'
Meiffret points.
Trysstianna drawls 'I am a Healer sir. May I assist you? I can make it better.'
Trysstianna blinks her eyes innocently.
Meiffret frowns.
Trysstianna drawls 'ME sir?'
Meiffret looks down at his legs.
Meiffret nods in agreement.
Meiffret says 'Yes. You.'
Trysstianna nods in agreement.
Trysstianna drawls 'Well I tend to be here yes.'
Meiffret says 'I bumped my shins. So I WISHED for someone to rub them better.'
Meiffret says 'And here you are!'
Meiffret points again.
Trysstianna blinks her eyes innocently.
Meiffret says 'Will you rub my legs better, lass?'
Trysstianna drawls 'I can help you feel better yes sir. Here just let me..'
Meiffret sits down on the ground, spreading his legs wide.
Meiffret says 'I like them rubbed like this.'
Meiffret makes a motion.
Meiffret says 'I suggest two hands for beginners.'
Trysstianna takes hold of Saidar, unknown to the man, and as she touches Meiffret's shins a small icy wave blasts up from his legs and disperses across his chest.
Meiffret lets out a small shiver.
Meiffret folds his arms across his chest.
Meiffret says 'Wha-'
Trysstianna drawls 'All better now sir? It should be at any rate.'
Meiffret says 'Wha- was -at?!'
Meiffret looks around wildly.
Meiffret looks down at his legs with a sad face.
Tallan has arrived from the west, riding a gray palfrey.
Meiffret says 'They're better...'
Meiffret sighs loudly.
Trysstianna drawls 'You were injured.. It is my duty as a woman with the knowledge of Healing to help those in pain.'
Meiffret says 'Now you don't need to rub them.'
Tallan looks at Meiffret.
Tallan grins evilly.
Meiffret mutters, 'Your duty as a woman would have been to rub it... erhm... them...'
Tallan leaves south riding a gray palfrey.
Meiffret sighs loudly.
Meiffret stands up.
Trysstianna drawls 'I am generlly uncomftable touching a man outside of Healing sir. I prefer women.'
Meiffret holds out his hand to you.
Meiffret says 'Meiffret. Meiffret A'Hara. Meiffy to ma- friends. Sir to... Well... No one.'
Trysstianna offers her petite, pale hand to you to take.
Meiffret flourishes grandly.
Meiffret takes the hand, kissing it gently.
Trysstianna blushes to her chest, flattered but still unsure of his intentions.
Meiffret says 'And how might I replay your kindness, lass?'
Trysstianna drawls 'Sir A'Hara, you are a flatterer.'
Meiffret says 'A flatterer. A wanderer. An all around - '
Meiffret pauses to leap onto the edge of the fountain.
Meiffret says '- amazing Gleeman Bard.'
Trysstianna drawls 'What sort of things are you able to do to repay me? I require no coin: the tower pays for lodguig meals and so.'
Meiffret flourishes grandly.
Meiffret purses his lips in thought.
Meiffret says 'Ah!'
Meiffret raises a finger.
Meiffret says 'A song!'
Trysstianna drawls 'Gleeman sir? I am afraid I do not understand.'
Meiffret says 'I shall immortalise you in a song.'
Trysstianna blinks her eyes innocently.
Meiffret drops from the fountain and kneels on one knee.
Meiffret takes your hand gently.
Trysstianna drawls 'A song would be nice sir. Thank you.'
Meiffret says 'For the price of your name, dear girl, you shall see what a Gleeman Bard can do.'
Meiffret winks suggestively at Trysstianna.
Trysstianna drawls 'I go by Anna, Sir A'zHara of the Gleemen.'
A crow bites Trysstianna!
Trysstianna begins to weave the appropriate flows...
Meiffret ponders life, the universe, and everything.
Meiffret says 'Anna, you say?'
Meiffret frowns.
Trysstianna gestures skyward where a single ball of ice pelts a black bird from the air.
Meiffret stands tall and clears his throat.
Meiffret says 'Well, dearest Anna...'
Meiffret lifts his head.
Trysstianna perks up and settles in to listen.
Meiffret sings, 'There was a man, oh silly was he, who ran into a bench and bumped his KNEE!'
Meiffret pauses to rub his knee for effect.
Trysstianna hides a bemused smile behind her hand.
The sun sets, washing the city in fiery colors.
Meiffret sings, 'Oh woe to the man, with the horrible knee. He couldn't walk, and he couldn't flee.'
Meiffret sings, 'He hobbled around the old town square, on just one leg - He attracted quite a stare.'
Trysstianna grins evilly.
Someone sings, 'He hopped around all over and in an unfortunate manner, until along came his friend. His saviour. His ANNA!
Meiffret pauses excitedly.
Meiffret points.
Trysstianna giggles.
Trysstianna claps approvingly.
Meiffret covers his mouth and whispers, 'That's you...'
Trysstianna drawls 'Go on sir! Wonderful!'
Meiffret sings, 'He tried to be brave. He really REALLY did.'
Meiffret sings, 'But that pain was so bad. It brought tears to his lids.'
Meiffret sings, 'He couldn't stand. He couldn't talk. He could barely see.'
Meiffret sings, 'So he flopped to the ground and spread his legs, did he.'
Trysstianna shakes her head slowly, a small grin about her lips.
Meiffret flops to the ground to demonstrate.
Saleen has arrived from the east, riding a Domani razor.
Saleen says 'whew'
Meiffret sings, 'He spread his legs wide, to show Anna his bruise.'
Trysstianna sends a hushing gesture to Saleen. 'Shh he is singing to me Miss Sal!'
Meiffret sings, 'He said, "RUB THEM MY DEAR, I DON'T MIND WHICH YOU CHOOSE".
Meiffret sings, 'The man looked at his legs as the girl first started.'
Meiffret sings, "Not that one, my girl, the other is disheartened.
Trysstianna pops small berries into her mouth as she pays amused attention to the man singing to her.
Meiffret sings, 'The girl looked at him oddly, and started once more. Working on the other for that's where it hurt.'
Meiffret sings, 'But the lad looked again and said, "Not that one either."
Trysstianna eats the fruit.
Saleen sighs loudly.
Saleen says 'You dirty gleeman.'
Saleen snickers softly.
Trysstianna frowns.
Meiffret sings, 'And the lad gestured down and -'
Meiffret stops singing.
Meiffret says 'I think that will do for today.'
Meiffret winks suggestively at Trysstianna.
Trysstianna quietly whispers to Saleen, 'That is not how it went...'
Meiffret flourishes grandly.
Meiffret whispers to Saleen, 'It did...'
Meiffret winks at Saleen.
Meiffret taps his head.
Saleen sighs loudly.
Meiffret says 'At least, it did in here.'
Meiffret bows before Trysstianna.
Trysstianna drawls 'I will be telling Miss Reyne about this. Your song was good sir, right up to the end that is.'
Trysstianna smiles happily.
Meiffret says 'I trust the performance was to your liking, my girl.'
Trysstianna giggles.
Trysstianna nods in agreement.
Trysstianna drawls 'Thank you kindly sir A'Hara.'
Saleen says 'I just got away from a fade, cant get more exciting than that.'
Meiffret nods in agreement.
Saleen snickers softly.
Meiffret says 'Well, I'm afraid I must cut our meeting short. I have an appointment with the inn keep here.'
Trysstianna nods in agreement.
Meiffret says 'We had a small... disagreement... about the cost of my room.'
Meiffret frowns.
Trysstianna drawls 'Be more careful in the future sir, and I will be needed to Heal less.'
Meiffret says 'I dare say I shall prove correct.'
Trysstianna waves.
Meiffret says 'I hope to see you again.'
The sun casts a golden glow over the city.
Meiffret waves.
Meiffret leaves south.
