Master Nylen the Magnificent!
Amarea Helsen Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah.
Maddy Mantear. Tower Accepted- POV
Questions
Nylen has arrived from the south, riding a bloodstock stallion.
Nylen flourishes grandly.
Nylen bows deeply.
Nylen strolls by, casually.
Nylen glances around as he steps closer.
Nylen takes a seat on the edge of the fountain.
Nylen trails a finger through the water, watching the spirals.
Nylen winks suggestively at you.
Maddy smiles at Nylen.
Maddy says, 'Oh, hello my friend.'
Nylen leans in close to your ear.
Nylen whispers to you, 'You said you wanted to speak to me earlier?'
Maddy nods at Nylen.
.
Maddy says, ‘Let's go to the Inn. I have something to tell you.'
Nylen starts following you.
Nylen is now a member of your group.
Nylen has arrived from the north, riding a bloodstock stallion.
Nylen has arrived from the north, riding a bloodstock stallion.
Nylen stops riding a bloodstock stallion.
Nylen says 'One moment.'
Maddy whispers something to the waitress before leading Nylen to a seat at the back of the room.
Nylen does a series of handsprings leading to the north.
Nylen has arrived from the north.
A bloodstock stallion has arrived from the north.
Nylen closes the woodendoor.
Nylen nods in agreement.
Nylen slides easily into a chair at the indicated table.
Nylen rests casually on his elbows, leaning conspiratorially.
Nylen buys a mug.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.
Maddy sits gracefully on the chair then grabs Nylen's hand between her two small hands, ‘How have you been?'
Nylen's eyes twinkle as he smiles.
Nylen winks mysteriously.
Nylen says 'Oh, mostly just adventuring.'
Maddy sits straight as the waitress sloppily deposits a plate of stew in front of Nylen.
Maddy says, 'It does not look like you have been eating well.'
Maddy says, 'I bet you have been sleeping in barns.'
Nylen says 'Need to find those interesting stories, ya know. Long times on the road means longer times between meals.'
Nylen glances down at his stomach and adjusts his belt tighter.
Maddy says, 'Yes and that's what I was going to tell you.'
Nylen picks a piece of straw from his cloak.
Nylen says 'You are observant... Accepted.'
Maddy waves for the waitress to bring her a glass of wine.
Maddy says, 'Well.'
Nylen arches an eyebrow.
Maddy eyes brighten as she leans in towards Nylen, ' I have travelled to Cairhien and
Caemlyn and spoke to the Inn here.'
Maddy says, 'I have arranged for you to have a place to stay and eat at each and it will go under my tab.'
Nylen says 'Aha! That sounds like a fine arrangement!'
Maddy says, 'I will also be traveling further afield and making the same arrangements.'
Nylen says 'You are the most generous patron.'
Maddy says, 'Please, I am no patron, we are friends.'
Maddy grins at Nylen.
Nylen swirls his mug and takes a sip.
Nylen flashes a roguish grin.
Nylen says 'One can never have too many friends, I have found.'
Maddy says, 'Please use the offer and ensure you eat and sleep well at least some of the time.'
Maddy says, 'I am not able to go to Amador, but my next visit will be to Bandar Eban.'
Nylen says 'But how will you afford such things? Perhaps Accepteds are paid greater wages than I had anticipated.'
Maddy says, 'I came to the Tower with my own means.'
Maddy says, 'This arrangement has nothing to do with the White Tower, merely friend to friend.'
Maddy smiles warmly at Nylen.
Nylen says 'I appreciate that. Even better to have friends without worrying about troublesome
strings attached!'
Maddy says, 'Yes, no strings ever between us.'
Nylen looks thoughtful.
Maddy grins at Nylen.
Nylen says 'And from where does the Mantear familt hail?'
Nylen says 'Err, family that is. Sorry, bit my lip there as I spoke.'
Maddy says, 'Cairhien. My family runs a large horse breeding farm outside the City.'
Nylen rubs his lip.
Maddy says, 'I do love my bloodstocks.'
Maddy grins at Nylen.
Nylen says 'Fine animals, those. Rare to see bred outside of Tear.'
Maddy says, 'Yes we buy them from Tear.'
Nylen waves a hand dismissively.
Maddy says, 'What city were you born in?'
Nylen says 'Oh you know... here and there.'
Nylen says 'I have traveled so long, sometimes I wonder about that myself.'
Nylen says 'But my mother told me I was born in Murandy.'
Maddy takes a small sip of her wine before setting it down, spilling just a small amount on the wooden table.
Nylen says 'My father tells me I was born in a rainstorm on a dark night, and a bad omen.'
Nylen rolls his eyes.
Nylen says 'Good ol' da.'
Maddy says, 'Oh what a thing to tell a child....tsk '
Nylen chuckles politely.
Nylen says 'He has a dry sense of humor.'
Maddy says, 'Hahaha,'
Maddy says, 'Did your parents travel with you when you were young?'
Nylen says 'If it wasn't for my receiving his height, and my mother's eyes, that he'd have guessed I was born to a trolloc for all the trouble I got in as a child.'
Nylen says 'They did for a while, but they are off retired, traveling with the Seafolk, last I heard.'
Maddy says, 'You sound like you could be my brother.'
Nylen flashes a roguish grin.
Maddy says, 'Not that I got in trouble but they did ....alot.'
Maddy says, 'I was the baby.'
Nylen says 'A good bloke, sounds like.'
Nylen nods to himself, he must need reassurance.
Maddy says, 'I have 3 older brothers.'
Nylen says 'Too little trouble and life ain't worth living!'
Nylen says 'Ah! And what do they do? Manage the estate, do they?'
Maddy says, 'Well currently they are all in Cairhien, mostly revelling it up, but do show back to the estate once in a while I hear.'
Nylen sips from the ale.
Maddy says, 'My oldest brother Calwood is engaged to be married, but it's been 3 years.. I wonder if it will even happen.’
Maddy looks at Nylen and rolls her eyes.
Maddy says, 'My Mother arranged it.'
Nylen taps his lip in thought.
Maddy says, 'Do you have any brothers or sisters?'
Nylen says 'Sometimes it's difficult to choose to be tied down.'
Nylen says 'Myself, I am an only child.'
Maddy says, 'Yes, especially if someone else chooses for you.'
Nylen says 'Perhaps of my own doing... had I behaved better...'
Nylen shrugs helplessly.
Nylen says 'I'm sure there's another joke by my father in there!'
Nylen sips from the ale.
Maddy bursts into laughter, 'Oh dear you could not have been that bad.'
Nylen says 'I suppose I got a little better after the village was rebuilt the first time.'
Maddy says, 'With that reasoning, I am surprised my parents made it to having me.'
Nylen sighs wistfully.
Maddy says, 'Oh do tell.'
Maddy rests her chin on her elbows listening intently to Nylen.
Nylen turns slightly red and glances around.
Nylen says 'Uh...'
Nylen says 'I'm not sure I'm allowed to say yet.'
Maddy says, 'Hahaha!'
Nylen says 'Maybe in a few years when those involved are no longer around to incriminate.'
Maddy says, 'Fine I will wait for that story another day.'
Nylen scratches at his cheek nervously.
Nylen nods in agreement.
Nylen says 'I will make sure to keep it in mind.'
Nylen flashes a roguish grin.
Maddy absently takes a large gulp of her wine, coughing a little as she rests the glass back on the table.
Nylen says 'Careful, you need to pace yourself there.'
Nylen sips from the ale.
Nylen says 'Nice, easy sips.'
Maddy says, 'Yes I don't often drink spirits, my head is feeling a bit light.'
Nylen says 'I suppose your teachers might not approve of such things.'
Maddy purses her lips pfffft, 'I suspect they all drink something else in their teacups.'
Nylen looks into his mug and squints.
Nylen smiles slyly.
Maddy says, 'So where are you off to next?'
Nylen says 'I am not sure yet, actually.'
Nylen says 'Mostly as the wind takes me, though if I see more councillors awake I might head in their directions.'
Maddy says, 'I heard there was a large gathering of Aiel outside Cairhien, do you ever entertain them?'
Maddy smiles at Nylen.
Nylen frowns.
Nylen says 'At one time Gleemen had agreements with Aiel...'
Maddy nods at Nylen.
Nylen says 'But it appears these days they Aiel do not remember the old ties to let us pass freely.'
Nylen shrugs helplessly.
Nylen spreads his arms wide.
Nylen says 'It's a large world, perhaps some sects do not talk to the others.'
Maddy says, 'They seem to be gathering in force around Cairhien, I had word my Mother went to Caemlyn to visit a friend.'
Nylen swirls his mug and drains it in a gulp.
Nylen says 'I hope she is safe there!'
Nylen says 'I suppose Caemlyn is quite the distance removed.'
Maddy says, 'I am sure my Father will send her word.'
Maddy says, 'Yes but for how long?'
Nylen raises his hand and orders another mug.
Nylen buys a mug.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.
Nylen says 'Who knows how far these Aiel may travel, or their ultimate purpose?'
Nylen says 'I am afraid I haven't quite heard much more on their purpose coming over the
Dragonwall.'
Maddy says, 'The Rising Sun have not sent any recent missives to my knowledge, however , I am not privy too much as an Accepted.'
Nylen says 'In the past, certainly they had war with Cairhien over that big tree stump.'
Nylen nods in agreement.
Maddy says, 'I don't suppose it's something that would be openly discussed.'
Nylen says 'Perhaps there is some other reason...'
Nylen taps his lip in thought.
Maddy says, 'Yes I hope we are not close to the end.'
Maddy says, 'It does not seem to me that we are near ready.'
Nylen says 'I know I've heard an Aiel once mention a "Caravan" or "Carvnivore" or some other such word that was important to them.'
Nylen says 'I am usually good with accents... but his was a bit harder than most.'
Nylen frowns into his mug.
Nylen sips from the ale.
Nylen says 'Perhaps you might have something in your libraries about a long "C" word that is
important to the Aiel.'
Nylen shrugs helplessly.
Maddy says, 'Oh it just came to me Car'a'carn'
Nylen says 'I haven't uncovered anything yet in the Cairhien In libraries.'
Nylen pauses.
Maddy says, 'It's their name for the Dragon Reborn.'
Nylen raises an eyebrow, mouthing out the word.
Nylen says 'Ah... hrm.'
Nylen looks dark.
Nylen says 'That might be cause for concern...'
Nylen says 'I wonder what news they have about this Car-a-carn that would make them cross the Wall.'
Maddy holds her glass as she looks into it trying to remember more.
Nylen says 'Certainly nothing that I have heard of so far.'
Maddy says, 'It's been so long since I took that lesson I do remember its part of their prophecy'
Nylen says 'I would think a Dragon being reborn would be, as they say, "kind of a big deal".'
Maddy snaps her fingers, "He who comes with the dawn.'
Nylen says 'Perhaps you could see one of these Brown Sedai you were telling me about... The dusty bookish ones.'
Maddy says, 'Yes, I have a meeting booked with Amarea Sedai tonight.'
Nylen glances out the window into the dark.
Nylen says 'Ah, good thing it is just after midnight.'
Nylen says 'Fabulous! I will be interested to hear more, and will keep an ear to the ground myself.'
Maddy says, 'OHHH, I suppose I will be meeting her tomorrow, she must have gotten busy with something else.'
Maddy says, 'Excellent.'
Nylen says 'I bet there's a fantastic story brewing there somewhere.'
Nylen sips from the ale.
Maddy smiles at Nylen.
Maddy smells her wine and pushes it away.
Nylen says 'You have me at the height of anticipation, I assure you.'
Maddy says, 'I have had enough.'
Nylen reaches across and slides the half-empty glass in front of him next to his mug.
Maddy says, 'And you I, I suspect you will find out more than I quicker.'
Nylen says 'Don't mind if I do...'
Maddy grins at Nylen.
Nylen lifts his shoulders as he drains the wine.
Maddy says, 'Don't forget you can order what you like here.'
Nylen says 'Who can tell, there may be much to learn and lips are often tight about these things.'
Maddy says, 'Yes and if they are not friendly I can't see how you can get any information.'
Nylen says 'I will moderate myself and attempt not to put you out of an inheritance.'
Maddy says, 'I suppose we will need to wait for them to make a move or approach us.'
Maddy says, 'Oh I am not worried.'
Nylen says 'I'm told I can be charming, at least with the ladies anyway.'
Maddy pats Nylen’s hand lightly.
Nylen says 'I am not sure if you underestimate my love of food and drink, or overestimate the size of your fortune.'
Nylen winks suggestively at you.
Maddy says,'I have much to share.'
Nylen drinks stout ale from a mug.
Nylen drinks stout ale from a mug.
Nylen drinks stout ale from a mug.
Maddy says, 'Oh, but you have not touched your stew. Are you hungry, did you want something else?'
Nylen raises his mug and winks.
Maddy says, 'Oh you seem more thirsty tonight.'
Nylen says 'Oh, apologies, the drink is quite sufficient at the moment.'
Nylen nods in agreement.
Maddy motions for the waitress to gather the stew and take it away.
Nylen says 'Perhaps she can donate it to one of the poor beggars outside.'
Nylen gestures out the window.
Maddy says, 'Yes that's what I was hoping for, although I try to keep food in the square for them.
Maddy says, 'Do you ever travel on river or sea boats?'
Nylen says 'Oh frequently.'
Nylen gazes into the distance and smiles.
Nylen says 'I told you I once sailed with the Seafolk for quite some time?'
Maddy says, 'I have been on River boats, but not Ocean yet.'
Maddy nods at Nylen.
Nylen says 'My parents stayed with them.'
Maddy says, 'Yes'
Maddy says, 'Have you been back?'
Nylen says 'Once ran into a Seanchan patrol, and barely escaped. Though I am certain they would not have attacked us if they had known an important performer was on board.'
Maddy says, 'Oh dear.'
*Nylen adjusts his many-colored cloak proudly.
Maddy says, 'I helped Amarea Sedai put down Damane and Sul'dam the other day.'
Nylen says 'Word of advice, don't try to seduce a Seanchan princess...'
Nylen shivers uncomfortably.
Nylen says 'Though I think they call them "Blood" or something. Learned that one quickly.'
Maddy says, 'You have no worries about that.'
Nylen nods in agreement.
Maddy says, 'I do like men.'
Maddy grins at Nylen.
Nylen says 'Watch for the ones with long colored nails and shaved heads. Even the women!'
Maddy says, 'It sounds eventful.'
Maddy pats her head before brushing her hair from her face.
Maddy says, 'I could never, I like my hair.'
Nylen says 'If it was not, there would be no stories to tell!'
Nylen says 'I am afraid they would not like you either, though they likely wouldn't take the time to
get to know you personally.'
Nylen rubs his neck thoughtfully.
Maddy says, 'That is too bad.'
Nylen nods in agreement.
Maddy says, 'I hope one day that changes.'
Nylen says 'They have a thing for leashing women. Seems fairly deep in their culture.'
Maddy says, 'What they do to their woman that can channel is a shame. '
Maddy says, 'Yes we are not allowed in their vicinity.'
Nylen says 'I'd usually chalk it up to culture and say to each their own, but it's fairly barbaric
to me.'
Nylen sips his mug, frowning.
Maddy says, 'I have heard of some being captured and leashed.'
Nylen says 'I am sure it is not pleasant. They appear to make them into weapons of war.'
Maddy looks sad, 'Can you imagine being Tower trained then made to use your gift as a weapon?'
Nylen says 'I cannot imagine being forced to commit atrocities against my will. Luckily, militaries often overlook the humble performer.'
Nylen shivers uncomfortably.
Nylen rubs his arms.
Maddy says, 'It must hurt their hearts sorely.'
Nylen nods in agreement.
Maddy says, 'Oh I'm glad to hear you are safe for the most part when on the road. I do worry about you.'
Nylen says 'Perhaps they mercifully do not know what is happening to them? I have never spoken to a woman who has been leashed, nor to one that has escaped.'
Maddy reaches over and gives Nylen’s hand a squeeze.
Nylen waves his hand.
Maddy says, 'I have seen them in battle against our men.'
Nylen says 'Nothing to be afraid of, I can mostly go as I please and have naught to worry, even from brigands.'
Maddy says, 'Barb at one time came north.'
Nylen thinks hard.
Maddy says, 'She was very scary.'
Nylen says 'A long way from home for a Seanchan woman.'
Maddy says, 'Yes, she was.'
Nylen says 'Perhaps you can rescue this.. "Barb" and win her back for the White Tower someday.'
Nylen eats a plate of yellow peppers and pork.
Nylen rubs his stomach.
Maddy frowns, looking at a very drunk couple arguing loudly up at the bar.
Nylen says 'It looks like Amarea might be awake now. Unless you said she is short on time still.'
Nylen says 'You should invite her here with some of her sisters.'
Nylen says 'Get them out of their dusty old libraries.'
Nylen nods to himself, he must need reassurance.
Nylen drinks stout ale from a mug.
Maddy says, 'What a good idea.'
Nylen says 'Perhaps they have heard of events that we were speaking about.'
Nylen says 'I would perform, but serious matters and all that...'
Nylen glances down at the two empty mugs and the wine glass in front of him.
Maddy says, 'Order more ...please'
Nylen covers his mouth as he makes a small hiccup.
Nylen says 'Not sure I'd want to perform with this much drink in me regardless.'
Nylen thinks hard.
Nylen buys a cup.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.
Nylen buys a cup.

Nylen buys a cup.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.
Nylen gives you a cup.
Nylen gives you a cup.
Nylen gives you a cup.
The woodendoor is opened from the other side.
Amarea has arrived from the north.
Maddy calls the waitress over, asking her to bring a bowl of fruit and nuts.
Amarea closes the woodendoor.
Maddy curtseys to Amarea.
Nylen says 'Quick, pretend we have just been having tea!'
Nylen gasps in astonishment.
Amarea smiles at you.
Nylen says 'err'
Nylen says 'uh'
Nylen glances around.
Nylen says 'Hello there, miss.'
Maddy says, 'Hello Amarea Sedai, I would like you to meet my friend Nylen.'
Amarea raises an eyebrow at the gleeman, eyeing him up and down with a weighing look.
Maddy says, 'Can we buy you a cup of something to celebrate?'
Nylen glances again at the accumulated empty mugs in front of himself.
Maddy grins at Nylen.
Nylen winks suggestively at you.
Amarea allows a small smile to spread to her lips as she nods. 'Aye, I'll allow a drink for the
occasion.'
Nylen buys a wooden goblet.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.
Nylen buys a wooden goblet.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.
Maddy stands up and grabs all the empty cups from the table with a tsk, moving to deposit them on the bar before regaining her seat at the table.
Nylen gives a wooden goblet to Amarea.
Nylen gives you a wooden goblet.
Maddy says,'Thank you.'
Nylen says 'Her first drink today, I promise you.'
Maddy drinks the mulled wine.
Nylen picks nervously at his cloak.
Nylen nods to himself, he must need reassurance.
Maddy says, 'Oh I like this, I will have to order it next time.'
Nylen sips from the ale.
Amarea swirls the goblet in her hand, studying the Accepted. 'Oh, is that so, Maddy? Your first
drink of the day?'
Nylen glances between Maddy and Amarea.
Maddy says, 'If you mean spirits, i did have a few sips of a glass earlier, but it was too strong for
me.'
Nylen buys a mug.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.
Maddy smiles at Amarea.
Nylen sips quietly at his mug.
Nylen points at the empty wine glass in front of him.
Nylen says 'I can confirm.'
Maddy nods in agreement.
Maddy says, 'Yes he finished it for me.'
Maddy grins at Nylen.
Amarea grins playfully.
Maddy says, 'We were just discussing the gathering of Aiel in Cairhien.'
Nylen says 'Though there was still a little in one of the mugs that the waitress took away...'
Nylen sighs loudly.
Amarea says 'You do well to live as if you have already sworn the Oaths, Maddy.'
Nylen says 'We were catching up on news of the day, mostly.'
Maddy says, 'Yes I do.'
Maddy says, 'Nylen was just teasing.'
Nylen says 'I say lots of oaths daily, and my mother used to tell me to stop.'
Amarea frowns at the mention of Aiel, taking a seat at the table as she sniffs and then sips the
drink.
Nylen shrugs helplessly.
Amarea sits down.
Maddy says, 'I mean when he said it was my first spirits.'
Nylen buys a wooden goblet.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.
Maddy says, 'In my opinion, Nylen can drink enough for the three of us and more.'
Maddy grins at Nylen.
Nylen sits straighter in his chair, pushing out his chest.
Amarea beams a smile at Nylen.
Maddy rolls her eyes at Amarea Sedai, muttering something about men and foolish pride in handling spirits.
Nylen says 'Even more so when it is on someone else's tab.'
Nylen sips from the goblet.
Maddy whispers to Nylen 'Shhh!'
Nylen says 'You see, my purse is often quite light.'
Amarea nods thoughtfully.
Nylen whispers to you, 'Don't worry, I won't say who!'
Maddy nods in agreement.
Amarea says 'A common problem among gleemen, so I have heard. But I had a humble life in Lugard before comin' here myself, too.'
Nylen weighs a purse lightly in his hand, sighs, and tucks it back into his belt.
Maddy sits back in her chair, resting her hands on the table, looking to see if Amarea Sedai will offer more.
Nylen pales slightly.
Maddy says, 'Do you miss your old life Amarea Sedai?'
Nylen says 'Lugard, eh? You never happened to hear about a fire that took out one of the villages out in the country did you? Or the stampede of oxen one year?'
Nylen holds his breath.
Maddy grins at Nylen.
Amarea pauses to sip her goblet, quiet for a moment.
Nylen turns slightly blue.
Nylen exhales and takes a gulp of his wine, wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead.
Amarea replies to the Accepted softly, 'There are certain luxuries to wakin' up and knowin' that I
had a simple job that needed doin' and that it would end when I finished my tasks at hand. But I
I also have more freedoms now than I could ever have dreamed of as a child.'
Maddy says, 'Yes, I understand.'
Amarea says 'I can't say I recall a stampede, Master Nylen. Perhaps it happened after I came here. But fires, aye, I've heard of a fair few in the city and surrounding towns. Always sad to learn of those.'
Amarea's eyebrows pull down into a frown.
Nylen sighs in relief.
Amarea's piercing blue eyes flicker down to her goblet before returning to the gleeman. 'You
mentioned somethin' about the Aiel? What news from the Spine and the Waste, Master Nylen?'
Nylen says 'Coincidences and accidents. All of them I hear.'
Nylen nods to himself, he must need reassurance.
Nylen says 'Certainly not misspent youthful energy.'
Nylen takes another long drink from his goblet.
Nylen whispers to Maddy, 'Should we bring up the Aiel and see if she has any news?'
Maddy says, 'Have you heard anything about the large gathering in Cairhien Amarea Sedai?'
Nylen drinks mulled wine from a wooden goblet.
Maddy says, 'I did speak on it to Liia and Divina Sedai but they had not heard.'
Nylen says 'We were discussing the possible motivations that Aiel might have to come across the Spine.'
Amarea's face, which has started to take on the ageless quality associated with Aes Sedai, is stoic and unreadable as she takes a sip from her drink.
Nylen says 'Besides maybe the usual water and complaining about acts done to a tree.'
Maddy whispers. ‘Car'a'carn.’
Nylen jumps.
Maddy nods at Nylen.
Nylen sputters on his wine.
Maddy says, 'I remember being taught that is their prophecy.'
Amarea looks at you.
Amarea's eyes light up with curiosity.
Amarea sips from the goblet.
Maddy says, 'Their Car'a'carn is what we call the Dragon Reborn.'
Nylen says 'I was telling this Accepted here, that I gave some water to an Aielman I found wandering alone, and he mentioned something about a caravan or carnivore, and she thinks maybe that I misheard him.'
Maddy nods at Nylen.
Amarea says 'That is, strictly speakin', still contested.'
Amarea says 'I have seen a copy of their Prophecy of Rhuidean. Are either of you familiar with it?'
Maddy says, 'Yes, it's a prophecy. No documents to prove it.'
Amarea clambers to her feet.
You sense Amarea connecting to the True Source.
You sense Amarea is channeling saidar.
Amarea gestures briefly at Amarea, who now appears more impressive somehow.
Nylen says 'No, I definitely gave him some water.'
Nylen frowns.
Nylen says 'Oh the prophecy is contested.'
Nylen nods to himself, he must need reassurance.
Amarea chuckles politely.
Maddy says, 'I was taught it by my Tutor many years ago but don't recall much more than the gist of it.'
Nylen says 'I have read many things, though I am not sure I am familiar with their prophecies.
Normally tight-lipped and stoic those Aiel.'
You say 'Amarea Sedai, Patter is on!'
Amarea says 'In the Old Tongue, "Car'a'carn" translates most closely to "chief of chiefs." Their
Prophecy of Rhuiden states that this...Car'a'carn will one day lead all of their people, unitin'
them as one.'
Nylen says 'Perhaps we should move to a less public location.'
Nylen says 'Especially due to the sensitive nature of the topic at hand.'
Nylen glances around the room
You say 'Yes and Patter.'
Nylen nods in agreement.
Nylen says 'Not that I personally have much to fear'
Maddy says, 'He has been stalking us in theTower.'
Nylen looks at Amarea.
Amarea says 'I do not fear that man.'
Maddy says, 'Oh good.'
Amarea says 'But Master Nylen, if you would like, I can bring you to a private readin' room in the
Tower Library.'
Nylen grabs a spare mug from the bartender
Nylen buys a mug.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.
Amarea opens the woodendoor.

The gleeman has arrived from the west.
Nylen looks at the gleeman.
Nylen pats the gleeman on his head.
The gleeman stops using a torch.
Maddy smiles at the gleeman.
Amarea says 'I do prefer to leave the horse in the stables or outside the Tower.'
Nylen nods in agreement.
Amarea nods in agreement.
Amarea calls for the TarlomensGate to be opened.

A Large Reading Room
Room name (A Large Reading Room) captured.
The large, ovular reading room of the library extends to the south, dotted
with scroll-covered and book-covered desks. The desks are a dark wood,
which matches the furnishings of the walls and shelves. Rows of pictures
hang in dusty frames along the walls. The entirity of the northern wall is
a large, heavily-leaded arched window that overlooks the Tower grounds, one
of the few windows in the building, as light degrades the quality of ink.
[ obvious exits: S ]
Amarea nods in agreement.
Nylen stops using a mirrored lantern.
Nylen puts a mirrored lantern in a backpack.
Maddy says, 'So, back to the Aiel.'
Amarea says 'There is a man in the Waste, a renegade leader of Aielmen, who often carries a copy of their prophecy.'
Maddy says, 'We walked past them the other day and they are all ready to fight, no talking with them.'
Nylen says 'Ah! I think I know what you are speaking of.'
Amarea says 'Aye, they seem to be congregatin' in the Spine, or at the threshold to it.'
Nylen says 'I may have a copy of that tome somewhere, though I haven't read it yet.'
You sense Amarea connecting to the True Source.
You sense Amarea is channeling saidar.
Nylen opens his pack and digs through a number of worn texts.
You sense Amarea is channeling saidar.
Nylen says 'It appears I may have left it in the rooms I keep in Cairhien.'
Nylen shrugs helplessly.
Nylen says 'I will make a note to read it.'
Amarea says 'The text is old, likely from before the Breakin' or early in the Third Age. This
'Rhuidean' itself appears to be a city somewhere hidden within the Aiel Waste, but where it is, I
cannot say.'
Nylen thinks hard.
Maddy says, 'Are there any recent reports of anyone going there.'
Maddy looks at Nylen, ' Or stories about it?'
Nylen says 'I certainly have not been there... Though Gleemen can often travel freely, I do not
imagine they would even allow me near such a place.'
Nylen says 'I have heard of a valley shrouded in mist, but would not know where to find it.'
Nylen says 'Perhaps there is more that can be read in those prophecies.'
Maddy says, 'It's very hard to travel there too, with so little water.'
Amarea says 'There is a Brown Sister, a very senior one raised to the shawl some many years ago, by the name of Wynoa. She is Aiel by birth and culture, from a female warrior society known as the Far Dareis Mai. But I have not met with her, nor have I heard any reports of her bein' awake and within the Tower in years. Perhaps not since before I was born.'
Maddy says, 'Was not that Rylea Gaidins Aes Sedai, until she was lost?'
Amarea nods in agreement.
Amarea says 'The same, aye.'
Nylen says 'She sounds like she would have been an excellent source of stories and history.'
Maddy says, ‘Patter is here!'
Amarea says 'Possibly, although I have found the cultural barriers to be...steep with Aiel.'
Amarea says 'There's a door 3s'
Amarea says 'If he comes in, someone keep it closed.'
Nylen says 'I am afraid I cannot be involved in a conflict between two such powerful nations'
Amarea nods in agreement.
Amarea says 'Master Nylen, you are welcome to stay here if you like, as our guest.'
Maddy says, 'Yes.'
Nylen nods in agreement.
Nylen stops following Amarea.
Nylen says 'Perhaps we can continue this conversation later.'
Amarea says 'If you prefer, I can also open a gateway to Cairhien or another city.'
Nylen says 'When there is less personal risk to yourselves.'
Nylen says 'I will take my leave, if you don't mind.'
Nylen sips from the goblet.
Nylen thinks hard.
Nylen says 'Much to think on...'
Amarea says 'Indeed, he does pose a risk to the threat of lost time.'
Nylen says 'Certainly worrisome if these Aiel are crossing in search of this man.'
Nylen says 'This.. Car'a'carn...'
Nylen frowns.
Amarea nods thoughtfully.
Nylen bows deeply.
Nylen flourishes grandly.
Amarea says 'I would gladly pay to hear any of these stories you might hear, or find, Master Nylen.'
Nylen leaves south.

Nylen nods in agreement.

Amarea nods in agreement.
Nylen stops using a mirrored lantern.
