Mariel leans forward and begins, "My sense is we all enjoy to speak."
Mariel says 'I thought I would begin by thank you for joining us, Sister. '
Jenda smiles at Mariel.
Mariel says 'I thought I would begin in a straight forward manner.'
Nevirha reclines into her seat.
Mariel says 'As I was observing the conversation in the Square, I sensed some negativity towards
your Sisters of the Gray Ajah.'
Alvana makes herself busy taking meeting notes.
Mariel says 'Is that an accurate assessment? '
Jenda says 'Are you speaking to me, Mariel? '
Mariel says 'That is correct, yes, Jenda. '
Jenda says 'Yes. But this ambush is a bit of a waste of time. I see now that you lot are much more
active and awake. The Accepteds who have been asking me about you are being attended to. So I am
content. '
Jenda says 'Is there tea? '
Nevirha motions to a tea setup in the corner.
Nevirha says 'Help yourself.'
Mariel says 'I asked a question, I don't think you answered it, did you?'
Jenda thanks Nevirha heartily.
Jenda stands up.
Mariel says 'I am encouraging straight forwardness, don't forget.'
Jenda says 'I did. I said. " Yes" '
Nevirha whispers something to Jocelyn.
Mariel says 'Ah, I was accurate that you harbor negativity towards the Gray Ajah, yes? '
Jenda moves to the tea set and pours herself a steaming cup, plain.
Mariel says 'Care to explain further in the hopes we can resolve this?'
Jenda tilts her head in question.
Jenda says 'I just did, Sister. There were many Accepteds and for that matter .. national issues that
went long without attention. Now I see so many of you here now. Working. And I am content. '
Jenda says 'Be as content as I am now with my sisters and this gorgeous tea or we can go to the Hall.
that is always an option. '
Nevirha whispers something to Jocelyn.
Jenda sips her tea and reclaims her seat.
Jenda sit down on a stout oaken chair.
Mariel says 'I was curious why you chose to involve yourself in the Accepted interested in a Gray
Ajah apprenticeship when you seemed to be undermining the Ajah at the same time.'
Nevirha says 'I believe we all were wondering the same.'
Alvana nods at Nevirha.
Jocelyn rests her hands in her lap, and nods once.
Jenda says 'They asked for guidance. What would you do? Tell me. Would you tell the child.. wait..
indefinitely. For someone to notice your choice of career. or would you guide her until a Gray has
the ... free time. '
Jenda says 'Is this a problem? '
Nevirha says 'I would speak to Mother, personally.'
Jenda laughs softly.
Nevirha says 'Rather than insert myself into something I know little of.'
Jenda says 'Do so... I would love to have this conversation in the Hall. '
Alvana clambers to her feet.
Mariel says 'You seem to be actively attempting to sow conflict.'
Alvana says 'Shall we, then?'
Jenda says 'Nevirha you have known me for some time and you know I take action. '
Nevirha says 'In fact, shortly after your....offer...of help to Accepted Eivor, Mother did contact
me, and I returned to the White Tower promptly.'
Nevirha says 'Ah, and you know me as well, Jenda.'
Nevirha says 'And yet you failed to send a pigeon or attempt any sort of contact.'
Nevirha says 'Rather, you besmirched the Gray to the point that an Accepted wondered why there was
bad blood between our Ajahs.'
Nevirha says 'Does this sound very diplomatic, Jenda?'
Jenda says 'Do you feel besmirched? '
Nevirha says 'My feelings do not enter into this.'
Jenda says 'If you do the best thing for it is to continue with your activity. Be present. as you all
are now. '
Nevirha says 'OOC - I want to make it very clear that NO ONE has an obligation to play this game.
PERIOD.'
Jenda says 'Do not allow an Accepted the option to go to another Ajah because she is lost and without
guidance. '
Nevirha says 'The Accepted did not want to be a Yellow, though, did she?'
Nevirha says 'Did she approach you and ask for your guidance to be a Yellow?'
Jenda says 'nevirha ooc i understand that. and this is roleplay babe. i'm helping out *another player*
til one of you gets back or she decides to switich'
Mariel says 'Jenda, by your actions then, you're suggesting that should you take any period of time
away from the Tower, we should be entitled to make an accusation that you are uncaring,
irresponsible and so forth? '
Jocelyn says 'As Aes Sedai, we should be a constant example to Accepteds and Novices alike on how to
behave properly, you have proven that you are of action Jenda, however the lack of tact is what
resonates the most in this situation.'
Someone waves at you, and a cold sweat begins attacking your every muscle.
Mariel leans back in her chair.
Nevirha nods at Jocelyn.
Mariel nods at Jocelyn.
Jenda says 'One at a time. Do not forget I am a Sitter and a senior Aes
Sedai. I do what is right for the Tower. Your hurt egos do not factor in for me. '
Nevirha says 'I am also a Sitter and senior Aes Sedai. Do not get ahead of yourself, sister.'
Jenda says 'In good faith I am here answering each question in turn. '
Jenda smirks.
Jenda breathe easier again as the cold sweats have faded.
Jenda says 'Well then you'll understand if I ask you to wait and go
back and answer you talking over each other. '
Nevirha says 'Jocelyn is also a Sitter. Mariel also an Honored Sister.'
Nevirha says 'You do not need to pull rank on any of us.'
Jenda says 'Mairel. No. You know as well as I do that there has in fact been a history of the gray
being rather inactive and if Accepteds turn to a trusted Aes Sedai for guidance I will not send them
away. Also I will not pass on the opportunity to take a talented girl who is a *good* bloody
Accepted. '
Mariel says 'May I respond to that?'
Jenda says 'Joceleyn That is not the first time I've heard that. The Mother has not yet sanctioned
me... after years of being who I am. '
Jenda says 'You do not have to like it. But this is not sabotage. It's helping girls find their way. '
Nevirha says 'Mariel, you answer, please, and then I would like to ask a question.'
Alvana says 'We would prefer your help all the more if we didn't need to clean up after it, Sister.'
Nevirha nods at Alvana.
Jenda says 'Now I will tell you this. Be satisfied with my answers under the oaths that I speak truly.
I have indulged your plan long enough and was civil. '
Jenda says 'Clean up what? what have you got to clean up? your reputation? '
Jenda says 'How is that my problem? '
Mariel says 'Jenda, I say this in all seriousness.'
Mariel says 'Have you lost your mind?'
Mariel says 'I am deeply concerned.'
Jocelyn says 'I suppose when a boy throws a stone through a window, it is no longer the boys fault
and it becomes the rock's issue?'
Jenda says 'Think about it. I'm not ignoring a girl because she aspires to be a Gray Sister and you're
actually upset that I am trying to keep her active and alert? '
Jocelyn arches an eyebrow.
Mariel holds up her hands.
Jenda smirks.
Nevirha whispers something to Mariel.
Jenda says 'jocelyn that is a ludicrous analogy. '
Mariel says 'I think that the issue here is that you seem to think you've been helpful when in fact
you have been harmful.'
Nevirha nods at Mariel.
Jenda says 'I will take note of that if I understand how I have harmed the Gray Ajah. '
Mariel says 'Here's what I would have done in your shoes, Jenda.'
Jenda grins at her.
Mariel says 'Lets reverse positions.'
Jenda says 'Absolutely '
Mariel says 'An Accepted seeks me out, unable to reach a Yellow Sister to begin an Apprenticeship.'
Jenda nods in agreement.
Mariel says 'I would have consulted with the Yellows, attempted to reach them.'
Mariel says 'IF that failed, I woudl have consulted with Mother.'
Mariel says 'If that failed, I would have inquired to other Aes Sedai about what they may know of
the Yellow Ajah Apprenticeship, which I have literally no clue about.'
Mariel says 'And because of that I would have asked the advice of my Sisters.'
Jenda says 'I concede that I should have tried Nev. I know her though she is prickly with me, I like
the woman. However.. I liked the Accepted and as I mentioned. I saw an opportunity. I do not believe
any one of you would have passed up on that. Being who we are. '
Jenda says 'I do not need advice on this matter. I need more Aes Sedai. Good Aes Sedai. '
Nevirha says 'You saw an opportunity for whom? Yourself or the White Tower?'
Mariel says 'Once done, I would have been apppropriately enthuasiastic of the Yellow Ajah and the
girls' interest, and given the Yellow Ajah and the respect it deserved.'
Jenda says 'The White Tower. '
Mariel says 'You had an Accepted broker a treaty?'
Nevirha says 'If it was the White Tower you wished to strengthen, you would have done as Mariel just
suggested.'
Nevirha says 'Again, within a day of Mother reaching me via pigeon, I had contacted all Accepted who
wish to apprentice under the Gray.'
Jenda says 'How many have we all seen fade away and leave. not try... at all.. for years. because
*maybe* someone will be around *maybe* to help them. I helped them. '
Nevirha says 'It was not a matter of the Gray Ajah being inaccessible, but rather there being a
complete failure to try.'
Jenda says 'What did I say, Nev. I said I concede that I should have reached out to you. '
Nevirha says 'We now have four Accepted. If it had only been as your plan, we would have *maybe* had
one.'
Nevirha says 'If you had not convinced her to join the Yellow instead, as seemed to be your wish.'
Alvana says 'Speaking from my own experience, Jenda, when one aspires to apprentice under the Gray,
Nevirha has a track record of becoming available.'
Jenda says 'Congratulations on that. '
Jenda says 'Alright. What do you want as an outcome to this conversation? '
Mariel says 'I don't know if it's going to be achieved.'
Jocelyn says 'I would like to redirect this conversation back to the point that Mariel just brought
up.'
Nevirha says 'I apologize for talking over you Mariel.'
Nevirha nods at Jocelyn.
Jocelyn says 'You had an Accepted broker a peace treaty?'
Jenda says 'I hope you all know that I am indulging you, my Sisters, with this conversation. '
Jenda says 'No, Jocelyn. '
Mariel says 'Jenda, you're actually not indulging anyone. That implicates some amount of pleasure.'
Jocelyn says 'So Accepted Eivor took it upon herself to try and bring peace between the Civil Watch
and the Kandori Merchant's Guild?'
Jenda says 'It means I'm here to satisfy you with answering questions. I can leave. '
Jenda peers closely at Joceleyn, trying to figure her out.
Jenda says 'Do pay attention. I said I did not ask an Accepted to broker a peace deal. '
Nevirha says 'Ah, my apologies.'
Jenda says 'This is beginning to irritate me. I will forgive some degree of hostility on your part. I
do understand how my actions might have offended. '
Mariel says 'Here is what I was hoping would happen. First, I would be able to understand why you
appear to be on a vendetta against the Gray Ajah. Second, to redfine what help looks like. Third, to
assess whether or not you care to have the White Tower be unified and allied in our common mission
or to sow conflict and discord amongst us.'
Nevirha says 'It seems it was Eldrenia who assigned the mediation between warring factions, though
Jenda was present for that meeting.'
Jenda says 'But you lot? Are grating my nerves. by your refusal to understand or listen. '
Mariel says 'There's probably some other things, but that's the top of it that comes to mind.'
Jenda says 'YOU lot are not the Hall. '
Mariel's eyes widen a moment as she realizes she leaned forward again in her chair.
Jenda says 'It was an information seeking mission to give her practice if I recall correctly. '
Mariel leans back and resumes a cool, unreadable expression.
A Shienaran scout narrates 'Call the banners! Shadowspawn sighted at Eastern Borderlands!'
Nevirha pulls a parchment from the table.
Nevirha says 'From the notes Accepted Eivor sent me:'
Jenda nods at her.
Nevirha says 'I would like you to reach out to both parties and see if you can mediate this
dispute.''
Nevirha says 'In reference to the declaration of war between the Civil Watch and the Kandori
Merchants' Guild.'
Nevirha says 'Do we define brokering a peace differently?'
Mariel weaves a flow of air, guiding a tea cup into her lap and takes a sip.
Nevirha looks to her Gray sisters each in turn.
Jenda says 'Apparently.. you're the grays. '
Alvana shakes her head at Nevirha.
Jenda says 'Well. I'll leave on this note. You're all awake now and no Apprentice will be told 'I can't
promise you I'll be around' yes? Therefore until I see another pattern in any Ajah. I'll bow out of
the way. '
Mariel says 'I'll encourage you to rethink what you are doing. You seem blind to the problems you
cause. '
Jenda laughs softly.
Jenda says 'I don't see a problem at all. '
Alvana says 'I'm afraid I must depart, sisters. Forgive my absence.'
Jenda nods at Alvana.
Alvana gestures with her hand.
Nevirha says 'However, if you so strongly desire to be a Gray, I am happy to tutor you as well.'
The door smoothly swings open.
Jenda says 'Good night, Alvana. Sisters. '
Alvana nods in agreement.
Alvana leaves east. >>
Jenda says 'Good night. '
Nevirha gestures at the doors with her hand.
The door closes quietly.
The door silently swings shut and lock with a soft *click*.
Jenda stands up.
open door
It seems to be locked.
Jenda rolls her eyes.
Mariel clambers to her feet.
Nevirha clambers to her feet.
channel door open
Jenda says 'Open the door, please. '
Nevirha says 'We have a lengthy apprenticeship process that you are welcome to undertake.'
Jenda senses Mariel connecting to the True Source.
Nevirha gestures with her hand.
Jenda nods at Nevirha.
The door smoothly swings open.
Mariel gestures with her hand.
The door smoothly swings open.
Jenda says 'I have a Talent.. that won't do but thank you. '
Jenda waves.
