This has happened at least 3 separate occasions for me. I gather the wood, then try to build the fire and it doesn't acknowledge that I gathered the wood.

A trolloc cookpot, couched in a bed of coals, boils with human flesh.
* S HP:Healthy MV:Tiring > gather wood
Ok.
* S HP:Healthy MV:Tiring >
You stalk away from the site in search of wood to burn...

You return to the site with a pile of wood, and toss it unceremoniously on the ground.
* S HP:Healthy MV:Tiring > build fire
Ok.

Maybe you should gather wood first?
