The Staid Inn Shangtai
The air is redolent with the rich, heady scent of tabac, the smoke of the
innkeeper's pipe hanging in the room like a veil of gray silk. The walls of
the Staid Inn are panelled in dark, varnished oak, each piece carved so
delicately in vines and leaves it almost seems to be growing. Everything in
the inn is Ogier sized, from the enormous chairs that lurk malevolently
next to a fire the size of a Bel-Tine blaze to the bar that is as tall as a
man. Doorways framed by massive oak jambs lead to the kitchens and rooms.

An innkeeper makes his rounds of the room, tending to guests.
