The Hand horse does it as well. There's nothing I can do to fix it, except changing it to emote damage to disrupt a weave, which would cause its own issues.

The same thing happened to me against one of the anti-channie mounts.

A Charred Room
The walls of this dark, gloomy room are covered with soot, as though a huge
fire had been burning inside the small room for years. The floor and ceiling
are scarred with burn marks. Nothing moves or grows in this fire ravaged room,
not even the moss that covers the rest of the cavern. Cracked, dry bones lie
strewn about the room, and have a decidely human cast to them.

Looks like nothing could interrupt my spell when I was forced to release. Was fairly laggy. Seems like a rare interaction though.
