With crows and ravens if they aren't flying too high once they follow you, yeah, you can lead them into a no-ride and spam "k raven" a million times until it hits it. The bat thing is odd, someone can "assist Biol" when the bat aggros you and they will fight it, but they can't "k bat" to get on it when it's hitting you.

IIRC if you can lead the bat to somewhere inside (a isolated cave / structure or some such) and/or (can't remember which) you just keep swinging your weapon you occasionally will get a hit - as Shinobi says they disengage very quickly...

happens when aggro mob that flies too high for projectiles / auto attacks engages. You generally can't hit back but they disengage everytime they aggro because of this.

I wondered if I should be engaged or not here. It was a bit odd.

Wind Through the Canopy

neighbours for the right to sunlight. Soft woosh-woosh sounds spread from
the canopies as the wind ruffles their leaves. The forest continues to the
southwest, but seems to end not far to the east.
