This has been the case ever since criers, adventurers and so on were implemented. These notes do not delete on character deletion (and in some cases, good thing too) and there is no deleted character list to do that manually, either.

They just remember names not characters.

I recreated a deleted character that was deleted over a year ago. I went to do a crier task for gold and was told:

* R HP:Healthy SP:Bursting MV:Full > give oilstone crier
You give an oilstone to the Caemlyn town crier.

* R HP:Healthy SP:Bursting MV:Full >
The Caemlyn town crier thanks you heartily.

* R HP:Healthy SP:Bursting MV:Full >
The Caemlyn town crier checks his notes...

* R HP:Healthy SP:Bursting MV:Full >
The Caemlyn town crier says 'thanks... but you've done this 5 times already!'


Apparently the tasks of deleted characters continue to carry over...forever?
