Is there a way to make the bags wearable on body and belt (like scabbards/sword sheaths can be worn on back and belt?). Or make the saddlebags back/belt if body/belt isn't a possible combo?
Of course, this would lead to a horse being able to wear 3 saddlebags, possibly not desired.
I mentioned this to Elysia while in game. I think she said she is going to increase their capacity.

...

They do. Or so I just found out. THOSE operate using horseeq. Lol.

Anyway, saddlebags are now worn on the body slot and will not just disappear once saddle is removed.

For an idea on how it compares to human body slots:
donning = cloak slot
saddle = belt slot
saddlebag = shirt slot

Ah. Wonder if stablehands use specific keywords other than saddlebag to remove gear?

That's what I'm saying, I tested that with panniers or wicker baskets some time, but the stablehand didn't return those either.

Worn on back saddlebag seems appropriate then. :)

Atienne wrote:Best solution is to just make sure you stable your horse and pick up the bag. Worst part is if a mob picks it up before you can. Wonder mob pickup can be looked at? Maybe make them not pick up someone's saddlebags, if possible.
Mob auto-pick up is coded.

I tinkered with wicker baskets once to allow horses to carry more, but there was some problem with them that made them not work unless they were an object on belt/ saddle.

First one seems to be the case.

This stallion has been bred and raised from foalhood specifically for the
needs of war. Its powerful hindquarters allow him to easily coil and spring
to stop, spin, turn or sprint forward. He also has a short back and
well-muscled loin, strong bone, and a well-arched neck. He is beautiful. He
is lethal. He knows it.

A white destrier is in excellent condition.
A white destrier is healthy.

a white destrier is using:
<worn about waist> a tooled leather war saddle
<worn on belt> a worn saddlebag
<worn on belt> a leather-bound water satchel
