This small cottage appears to be the home of a poor vagabond with little
in the way of possesions. The rooms only contents are a rickety table and
chair, a cot strung in one corner and an old tin washbasin. Into the
unplastered west wall of the room is a small fireplace so full of ashes it
must not have been cleaned out in ages. A small glassless window gazes out
north over a wide gully to the rolling plains beyond. An opening to the east
leads outside this hovel.
[ obvious exits: E ]
A fox is here, hunting for rabbits.
An old, nasty-mouthed man curses you for treading on his land.

You give a dusty hammer to a hermit.

A hermit gives you a cup of thready brown tea.
A hermit says 'Here, take this. I'm happy enough to have a hammer.'
The hermit disappears around the hovel and you hear the clanging of intention.
