If this was needed to be worked around with MOBOL I suppose a NPC guard could be standing outside (perhaps inside the gate on the way to the inner courtyard) where they might hear the alarum and yell to the guards in their barracks to "fall in..."?

Weir is correct, it's part of the code and the indoor status of a room.

Laras in TV has the same. If I compare Laras and the barracks, the only thing they have in common are no-hide and indoors. There are plenty of no-hides that still let you hear alarms, so indoors must be it.

Oh really? I had no clue that was a thing. I've only ever noticed it from here.

City alarms are hardcoded to not be heard indoors.

For some reason, you don't hear the city alarm in this room. I'm not sure if it's all city alarms? but definitely not the Caemlyn one. I believe you can hear it in the rest of the palace though, or at least outer city zone.

Of all the places to hear the Caemlyn alarm, I would think barracks should be on the list...:P
(Not sure if it's coding or something. Been this way as long as I can remember)
