Wanda speaks with Accepted Vala trying to gauge whether she herself is ready to be tested.

Later Accepted Maddy joins the conversation and things get a little uncomfortable.

Wanda smiles happily.

Wanda says 'Hello Accepted Vala'

Vala says 'Hey Wanda'

Wanda says 'How goes it?'

Vala says 'I'm doing well, how have you been?'

Wanda says 'I have been very well thank you'

Wanda says 'Are you far from your apprenticeship?'

Vala says 'I don't think so, these decisions just take a long time.'

Wanda nods in agreement.

Wanda says 'You are leaning towards the Brown Ajah?'

Vala says 'Yes definitely Brown if they'll have me.'

Wanda says 'Oh, I am sure they will have you Vala. Any Ajah would be lucky to have you among their numbers'

The sun casts a golden glow over the city. Starting tic timer.

Wanda watches the sun rise.

Wanda says 'But you have doubts?'

Vala says 'About where I want to go? No.'

Wanda says 'You doubt they will accept you?'

Vala says 'You never know until it's official.'

Wanda nods in agreement.

Wanda comforts Vala.

Wanda says 'I am sure all will go smoothly'

Vala says 'We don't talk about "when" we shawl, it's "if"'

Wanda says 'You may not talk about it but I can see no way you will not shawl'

Wanda says 'You really seem to have your head screwed on right'

Vala shrugs helplessly.

Wanda says 'would you like me to check?'

Vala says 'what?'

Wanda slowly inches forward raising her hands to grab Vala's head.

Vala says 'eh, no thanks'

Wanda smiles at Vala.

Wanda lowers her arms and tries to stifle a giggle.

Vala peers closely at Wanda. She should guard her secrets carefully...

Wanda says 'May I ask you a question?'

Vala says 'Sure'

Wanda says 'how did you know you were ready to become and Accepted?'

Vala says 'Well it's not really up to us.'

Wanda bites her lip.

Wanda says 'let me pose the same question another way'

Wanda says 'what made you feel confident enough to ask to be tested?'

Wanda stares intently at Vala.

Vala says 'It's been so long I can barely remember.'

Wanda says 'try, please?'

Vala says 'I don't think it was a specific thing. But there were other girls I trained with that were a big source of support.'

Wanda nods at Vala.

Wanda says 'were there many Novices when you were a Novice?'

Vala says 'Not a great number of them, probably about the same as now.'

A Tower Guard has arrived from the east.

Wanda nods at Vala.

Wanda wonders what the world was like all those years ago...

Melosa has arrived from the east.

Melosa smiles happily.

Melosa leaves north.

The sun sets, washing the city in fiery colors.
Wanda shivers and snaps out of her day dream.

Wanda says 'and there she goes, Melosa hardly has time to crack a smile apprenticed to the Green Ajah. They sure keep her busy.'

The night has begun.
Wanda embraces and can feel the flows of saidar coursing through her body.

Someone holds something above her head.

Wanda begins to weave and the room becomes brighter as she creates a sphere of light above her hand.

Vala nods in agreement.

Vala says 'At least this time you can ask any Aes Sedai to interview you. It doesn't have to be a Sitter.'

A city lamplighter has arrived from the west.

Wanda says 'Sorry to pry. I am at that time where I am questioning if the time is right for me to approach a sister'

Vala says 'You should expect it to be harder than last time.'

Wanda says 'I think I may, what’s the worst they can say 'Wanda, you are not ready''

Wanda strokes her chin thoughtfully.

Vala nods in agreement.

Maddy calls for the TarlomensGate to be opened.
The TarlomensGate is opened from the other side.
Maddy has arrived from the north.

Maddy smiles happily.

Maddy says 'Hello'

Wanda looks around for an Aes Sedai.

Vala says 'Take your time thinking about it. First you have to believe you're ready, then you have to convince them.'

Wanda says 'Oh, hello Maddy'

Wanda says 'Thank you for your words. I shall take them to heart'

Vala says 'You should ask Accepted Lorrah if you see her around. She recently went through it.'

Wanda nods in agreement.

Wanda says 'I have not had the pleasure of meeting Lorrah yet'

Vala says 'You can hear her coming from down the hall in all that noisy armor.'

Wanda arches an eyebrow.

Wanda says 'a warrior is she?'

It starts to rain.

Vala says 'Just an unusually strong channeler with a huge club.'

Wanda says 'OK time for less weighty conversation.'

Wanda says 'So what fun can we get up to?'

Maddy smiles happily.

Maddy says 'Have you met Linka'

Wanda smiles as her eyes dart between Vala and Maddy.

Wanda says 'I have not'

Maddy says 'I did the rosebud with her and she was very angry at me. She vomited.'

Wanda says 'sounds charming'

Maddy says 'I spoke with her today and she was much friendlier'

Maddy says 'I must have been a shock to her.'

Wanda nods in agreement.

Wanda says 'Well seeing Linka and her upset stomach are not present, you two will have to do, I guess'

Vala says 'She was acting like a spoiled little princess on day one but the Aes Sedai will not put up with that.'

A city lamplighter has arrived from the west.
The day has begun.

Vala says 'It should be entertaining.'

Maddy grins evilly.

Maddy says 'So Wanda what are your first impressions of living here.?'

Wanda says 'The food is wonderful'

Maddy nods at Wanda.

Wanda says 'I like fish as much as the next Tairen but variety is sooo nice'

Vala says 'Fish is hard to beat.'

Maddy says 'Do you miss anything from your old life?'

The fountain splashes merrily, light sparkling beautifully on the surface of the water.
A Tower Guard has arrived from the west.

Wanda grows quiet.

Wanda says 'no'

Wanda says 'My old live was not an easy existence'

Maddy moves over to the bench , sitting, she runs her fingers lightly in the fountain as she listens to Wanda.

Maddy says 'What about staying in the City. Is that hard for you?'

Wanda says 'No I’m used to being confined to a space'

Wanda says 'this is a very large city after all'

Maddy says 'Oh well that’s good I suppose.'

Vala sits down on a bench.

Maddy says 'Yes, have you had a chance to go out riding? Thats what I missed getting my horse to a gallop in a wide open space.'

Maddy smiles at Wanda and then Vala. saying ' I do it as often as I can now."

Wanda seems to undergo a transformation as her joyful personality slips away.

Wanda says 'I spent some time in the world before arriving in Tar Valon.'

Maddy watches Wanda's demeanor change with concern.

Wanda becomes cold and hard.

Wanda says 'I did not like it that much'

Wanda says 'too many people trying to get what they want any way they can'

Wanda says 'No, I am happy here'

Maddy moves over to Wanda, putting an arm around her shoulder, then squeezing slightly to comfort her.

Vala smiles at Wanda.

Wanda smiles and assumes her pleasant demeanour.

Maddy says 'Yes the world is full of that. I suppose I have been somewhat sheltered from that, and lucky when I have been on my own not to run into those people.'

Vala says 'This is your home now Wanda, and I'm glad it suits you.'

Wanda nods in agreement.

Wanda says 'So am I, so am I'

Maddy says 'So you seem to come to the Tower with a lot of knowledge of how people can be, that could be helpful in whatever path you choose.'

Wanda nods at Maddy.

Wanda says 'Let’s hope so. I know I seem weak and ditsy but really, I’m hard and just trying to be what’s expected of me'

Maddy says 'I am learning from all my new Tower friends that the world is not all parties and pleasures.'

Maddy pats Wandas arm and sits back at the fountain, saying, ' You are doing just fine."

Wanda says 'Thank you for saying so Maddy'

Wanda says 'and you too Vala for your words'

Maddy says 'How are your lessons coming. is it all falling into place?'

Wanda looks at Maddy and says 'I’m learning very fast Maddy'.

Wanda says 'However, the dishes will not clean themselves and I have duties to attend to'

Wanda waves goodbye.

Wanda says 'be well'
