Wheel of Time MUD

Submitted to Immortals for Review/grading.

After finding more letters Kitiara travels to many places and attempts to make unlikely allies in her mission to narrow down who could have planted the propaganda. The following all happens within one day (probably 5+hours of time), however travel has been edited out.

Having learned that Enoch was present during the time potential papers were planted, Kitiara journeys to the Dragonsworn base in Jehannah to see if an unlikely alliance might be had...



Jehannah War Office
This chamber is a prime example of military chaotic efficiency. Several
tables stand in the room, each with its own purpose. A table in the corner
bears refreshments, while against the wall a desk stands at the ready for
any missives to be written. A chandelier bearing many mirrored candles
hangs above a massive table which is covered with maps in various sizes,
showing troop deployments and supply- and messenger lines.

Enoch says 'There are no plans for.. war... if that is your concern.'

Kitiara gestures towards table in the corner.

Enoch says 'I will assure your safety while here.'

Enoch pulls up a chair.

Kitiara grins wryly as she sits down and says, 'No but two opposed forces meetings... it still ends an air does it not.'

Enoch grins.

Kitiara coughs loudly.

Kitiara says 'adds an air that is.'

Enoch says 'Some day we will all be on the same side, behind the Dragon Reborn.'

Enoch nods to himself, he must need reassurance.

Kitiara says 'The Wheel Weaves as the Wheel Wills Enoch.'

Enoch says 'I have to admit, I'm curious about your request for a meeting.'

Jafra has arrived from the north.

Enoch inclines his head in greeting to Jafra.

Jafra smiles at Kitiara.

Kitiara says 'Enoch, if it is all the same, I would prefer this meeting stay between the two of us.'

Enoch says 'Veteran Jafra, Kitiara Sedai of the Blue Ajah has graced us with her presence.'

Enoch nods at Kitiara.

Jafra says 'I'm sorry I did not mean to interrupt.'

Jafra bows before Kitiara.

Enoch whispers something to Jafra.

Jafra waves.

Kitiara settles in examining Enoch, 'I come first to pose a question... if you were to know a darkfriend walked among you... to what lengths would you go to root them out?'

Enoch strokes his chin thoughtfully.

Enoch says 'Darkfriends are absolutely against what we stand for. We had a problem with one in the past.'

Enoch puts a hand to his head, searching his memory.

Enoch says 'I believe...'

Enoch says 'Brianna was her name.'

Kitiara nods in understanding

Kitiara says 'That does not quite answer my question...'

Enoch says 'We had concrete evidence. Kicking out a member is the last straw, and we need to be absolutely certain before we take that step.'

Enoch says 'In her case we did end up expelling her from our ranks.'

Enoch says 'I seem to remember we even sent her to the Children.'

Kitiara says 'A gruesome fate... deserved by a Darkfriend. '

Enoch nods at Kitiara.

Enoch says 'She was burned clean, and the darkness was expelled.'

Enoch says 'I do not know what happened to her afterward.'

Kitiara says 'Hopefully the Dark One left her soul to be respun into the Wheel... and hopefully respun in service to the Light.'

Enoch nods solemnly.

Enoch says 'Based on your line of questioning, I hope this doesn't mean you have suspicions of another?'

Kitiara says 'Perhaps I should be more specific... if you knew a darkfriend was among your ranks... but you did not have concrete evidence yet... are there any lengths you would not go to obtain it?'

Enoch thinks hard.

Enoch says 'If I suspected there to be a darkfriend among our ranks, I would certainly have to very discretely search for evidence.'

Enoch says 'I would give my brothers and sisters the benefit of doubt, but I would be watching them extremely closely.'

Enoch says 'Since as you know, it is very serious'

Kitiara says 'Indeed...'

Kitiara continues watching and listening.

Enoch says 'Do you know of any specific signs that are give-aways? I'm trying to remember how Brianna was outed.'

Enoch says 'I think in her case she had... abilites that were not normal'

Kitiara says 'It is why I find myself here today... not as a representative for the White Tower or the Blue Ajah... but as a representative of the Light trying root out dark.'

Enoch says 'She was proven to be able to see in the dark'

Enoch nods at Kitiara.

Enoch says 'Of course.'

Kitiara says 'You may have information that can help me root out a darkfriend... you may not... '

Enoch says 'I would obviously help in any way I can.'

Enoch says 'This is a fight that we share.'

Kitiara says 'Generous of you... but it is what I was hoping to hear... normally I would respond to such help with... a favor is long remembered...'

Kitiara says 'In these circumstances... I will say that I would not allow you to fall to Shadow if I could do anything to stop it... and would offer help in a similar situation.'

Kitiara says 'What I need luckily should not be much... Today you have been awake for some time... A letter... of everyone you knew was also awake, or had any interaction with... notes if you have them (logs).'

Kitiara says 'And timestamps if available... who lists, wheres and timestamps.'

Kitiara says 'For obvious reasons I ask this stay between the two of us... though I have no authority to ask such except you know my plight...'

Enoch strokes his chin thoughtfully.

Enoch says 'Of course'

Enoch says 'I did not stray far from here, but I could look back on 'who' lists, etc.'

Enoch says 'Is there any time period specifically?'

Kitiara is pretty sure who lists are considered IC because public knowledge.

Enoch says 'Or something that could narrow my selection?'

Enoch nods at Kitiara.

Kitiara says 'Mostly the time before I visited the Manor earlier today... '

Enoch nods in agreement.

Kitiara says 'In truth before I woke for the day.'

Enoch says 'I'll see if I can consolidate anything that could be helpful.'

Enoch says 'It might not be much, but if it helps, I'm happy to get what I can.'

Kitiara says 'I will say as a bit of reinforcement of keeping this between us... the Shadow already knows I am on to them... a message and a head was left for me... Best not to involve anyone unnecessarily. '

Kitiara says 'The information is appriciated.'

Enoch nods in agreement.

Enoch says 'I won't tell anyone outside of this room now.'

Kitiara stands from the table and says, 'While we may still have issue about your men... it is good to know you walk in the Light Enoch.'

Enoch smiles at Kitiara.

Kitiara says 'Perhaps another day we can negotiate entrance into your manor to explore this woman who cures the taint.... '

Enoch coughs loudly.

Enoch grins evilly.

Enoch says 'We shall see...'

Kitiara nods knowingly before saying, 'May the Light Illumine you.' and walking out.



Having obtained a potential ally, Kitiara travels back to the White Tower, to speak with Chloro, who has found more papers in the Novice/Accepted quarters.


Conservatory of the Blue Ajah
During daytime, bright light floods in from tall, arched windows set in the
eastern wall, which offer a view of the many spires of Tar Valon as well as
the eastern bank of the Erinin. On clear days, the peaks of the Dragonwall
can be seen, far away to the east. Bookshelves, tables, maps and charts are
all present as the Blue sisters prepare for whatever tasks currently occupy
them or as they plan business away from the Tower. On one wall hang two
large portraits of Ciel Sedai and Adaire Sedai, with white ribbons of
mourning tied into the latticework of the frames.

Before meeting with Kavia and Vianca, Kitiara stops by the Gray rooms to discuss with a trusted Sister, Nevirha.


Continuing Down the Hallway
Floor tiles in a multitude of gray hues cover the floor of this hallway,
alternating with white tiles marked with the Flame of Tar Valon. Each door
in the hallway has been marked with scales in gold for Sitters and silver
for other Aes Sedai. A large tapestry of a map during the time of the
Compact of the Ten Nations decorates the wall.

Meeting Room of the Gray Ajah
Large, leaded glass windows surround the room on all sides, save the
southern where a large doorway leads out into a antechamber. The room
itself is dominated by a large wooden table around which sits at least
fifty matching chairs, something close to a record for the White Tower. In
the middle of the table are an assortment of unused parchments, quill pens
and stoppered ink jars. A small stand off to one side of the room holds a
large number of glass cups and a large pitcher of chilled water. An
inscription in fine lettering is etched upon the windows.

Kitiara says 'Feneon seems to be fixing an automated task'

Kitiara says 'I found one earlier clearly meant for me... '

Nevirha says 'That is very strange.'

Kitiara says 'As of now I am compiling all intitates who were around and would have been able to leave such letters... not a full proof method, but what we have currently... '

Kitiara says 'I am about to go meet Spruce to figure out what he found.'

Nevirha says 'Please keep me in the loop.'

Nevirha says 'Is that why everyone was in that room or is something else going on?'

Kitiara says 'Something else, Chloro was sent to fetch them, as they were 1w when she found the paper.'

Nevirha says 'Strange happenings all around.'

Kitiara says 'They are to wait for me in the conservatory when I am finished with Spruce.'

Nevirha says 'Before you leave, how did things go with Chloro yesterday?'

Nevirha says 'She is nearing the shawl.'

Kitiara says 'Fine, though If I a being honest I suspect everyone as of yet and I would delay any suspect from shawling until this is figured out... I would like to assume she is innocent... but she could be very clever.'

Nevirha nods in agreement.

Nevirha says 'She still has some work to do for the Gray.'

Nevirha says 'Though swearing the Oaths could be one way to root out a darkfriend.'

Nevirha says 'Right after swearing, ask them if they serve the Dark.'

Kitiara says 'Black Aes Sedai have avoided the oaths before... '

Nevirha says 'Have they avoided them immediately after swearing on the Rod?'

Annoura Larisen steps out, then returns with an Accepted following close behind.

Chloro says 'I was in the warders practice yard knitting before my discussion with Nevihra Sedai.'

Kitiara says 'Vianca and Kavia you were together the entire time?'

Kitiara says 'Chloro what drew you back to the Well?'

Vianca says 'I met up with Kavia once i returned to the Tower, Aes Sedai,'

Kavia says 'I was in the yard, when Vianca came to ask about the new novice. I went upstairs to help her'

Vianca says 'She was helping me comfort the novice into her new sleeping arrangement.'

Chloro says 'Ricksar a warrior had turned over his armor and weapons to me. He was going to join the tinkers. I thought it safer to hold onto it there.'

Kitiara says 'And before that Kavia?'

Kavia says 'Before that I had arrived back from Caemlyn. I was looking to update my travel location codes.'

It was time to meet with Child Spruce, another unlikely ally...


Caemlyn Central Square
Kitiara is in a large stone square, right in the middle of Caemlyn's outer
city. You see a wide boulevard to the north, and the path to the inner
city. There are a number of shops around you. The density of the population
is really quite incredible. It's almost impossible to relax as you are
being constantly bumped and jostled. From here you can really get a good
view of the outer city, and this just makes you appreciate the older inner
city all the more. A large banner hangs nearby, depicting a map of
Caemlyn's outer city.

Kitiara says 'How recently?'

Kavia says 'I collected names of all tower members all day'

Kavia says 'That I saw awake, not necessarily in the tower though'

Kitiara says 'I am particularly interesting int he last few hours. '

Vianca says 'By the time the poison was discovered publicly, I myself had already been in the tower.'

Kitiara says 'Any Novice or Accepted would have started in the Tower dear.'

Kavia shakes her head.

Kitiara says 'the poison?'

Vianca says 'I heard someone say that the fountain had Forkroot dissolved into it.'

Having been Summoned by the Amyrlin Seat, Kitiara made my way to her chambers.



The Amyrlin's Study
This room is ornate, having belonged to the generations of woman who have
worn the striped stole of the Amyrlin. The tall fireplace and broad cold,
hearth were all carved golden marble from Kandor, and the diamond-shaped
floor tiles, polished redstone from the Mountains of Mist. The walls are
panels of some striped wood, hard as iron and carved in fantastic beasts
and birds of unbelievable plumage, panels brought from the lands beyond
the Aiel Waste by the Sea Folk before Artur Hawkwing was born. Above, no
ceiling hinders the view of the sky, yet the occasional rain and snow
never enter through the ceiling's opening. Tall, arched windows open onto
a balcony overlooking the private garden.

Kitiara enters the room and nods respectively towards Siuan, 'We seem to have another problem Mother.'

Siuan Sanche puts down a missive and sighs.

Siuan Sanche says 'These reports are never ending...'

Kitiara says 'I willing bring it to you... knowing as best I can that you are not a foe... though confidence of that fact among my other Sisters seems to wane daily. '

Siuan Sanche says 'What news from the Blue Ajah today?'

Kitiara says 'That they are not foe that is...'

Siuan Sanche says 'Well, let's hear it then.'

Kitiara says 'In the last several days... 6 letters seemingly left by darkfriends... 4 in the Well, as you know only accessible by initiates of the Tower with instructions and encouragement on how to leave the Light and serve the shadow.'

Siuan Sanche sits up a little straighter.

Kitiara says 'After the first 3 I began questioning those who were around when the letters were found... today I found a letter and the head of an Aes Sedai waiting for me in the Blue Conservatory... seemingly targeted at myself.'

Kitiara says 'I continued gathering information as I could, and while I was out of the Tower another was found in the Well... and Spruce of the Children of light found something as well... though I tend to trust Spruce less.'

Siuan Sanche says 'This bodes ill for the Tower.'

Kitiara says 'for the world... Darkfriends seem to be growing from everywhere...'

Kitiara says 'I thought o ask Kennira for records of who had entered and left the Well, but it is my understanding she does not keep track among her other duties.'

Siuan Sanche says 'Do you have any leads?'

Kitiara says 'As of now I can confirm several to have been awake during the times of these letters... Kaiva, Chloro, Vianca, Tolza and Pyra. I have from multiple sources that they were each around during the times of potential drops.'

Kitiara says 'I have other names, but assuming it is one darkfriend... these 5 seem most likely... Chloro seems least likely... she was the one who found all 4 letters in the well and brought them to the attention of Aes Sedai...Jocelyn, Nevirha and Callesa... who reached out to the Blue to investigate the matter'

Siuan Sanche steeples her fingers and frowns pensively.

Siuan Sanche says 'Sisters have access to the Well as well, do they not?'

Siuan Sanche says 'How about Tower Guards? Or Gaidin?'

Kitiara says 'indeed... though no Aes Sedai have been around frequently enough to match all the times.'

Kitiara says 'I would think whoever it is is someone I have already spoken to... thus the letter and head I found today...'

Siuan Sanche purses her lips and asks 'Did those papers have a seal of anyone?'

Siuan Sanche says 'Have you investigated whether anyone who writes these things normally leaves a seal?'

Kitiara says 'There was a cipher in the one I handed to you, and was signed Shaidar Haran...'

Kitiara says 'I have noticed no seal otherwise.'

Siuan Sanche says 'The second one, most notably, is signed 'he'.'

Kitiara says 'He waits for you?'

Kitiara says 'I saw no signature... '

Siuan Sanche says 'He urges secrecy at all costs.'

Kitiara says 'ah, the one Spruce found... I surmised that he to refer to the Dark One, Or perhaps a forsaken... '

Siuan Sanche says 'Also 'exposure would cost him his life'.'

Siuan Sanche says 'Something here is not adding up then.'

Kitiara says 'It may be unrelated... but it seems at least tangentially related. '

Siuan Sanche says 'Someone supposedly sent something from the Blue Ajah Apartment, urging secrecy at all costs, signed by Shaidar Haran'

Kitiara says 'It is also the only letter not found in the letter... would you like to hear the one I found in the Blue?'

Siuan Sanche says 'Please.'

Kitiara says 'A Novice and Accepted were skipping to the Hall. The Accepted did trip and have a great fall.'

Kitiara says 'One moment...'

Siuan Sanche says 'The one with the vague 'his' appears to have been whispered to a rat, in the Blue Ajah Apartment.'

Kitiara says 'The Tower will suffer, again and again, for their ideals it is their sin. Could it be an Accepted, could it be a Novice? Maybe even a Sister has started all this. Regardless of how the story will go, the Dark One will reign supreme. Until you can stop thinking then you will see. None can stop his might. No one can stand in his path.'

Siuan Sanche smirks.

Siuan Sanche says 'To me, it seems more like an outside is trying to give you the run around. Either with some help from inside. Unless men have a way to enter the Well.'

Kitiara says 'I know of no way for a man to enter the Well... it is quite guarded...'

Siuan Sanche says 'Casting a wide net, too.'

Kitiara nods in agreement.

Siuan Sanche says 'At the very least, someone is leaving things in the well. And a male left something in the Blue Apartments.'

Kitiara says 'If it were just the letter and head in the Blue, I would assume an outside force... it is the consistent letters left in hte Well that concern me most.'

Siuan Sanche says 'What do you propose?'

Kitiara says 'I may need authority to detain an Accepted or Novice... question them further... perhaps see if having them detained stops the flow of these letter... Kaiva is probably on the top of my list... '

Siuan Sanche says 'Where would you detain them?'

Kitiara says 'I intend to bring Jenda into the fold... she is quite passionate about this sort of thing'

Kitiara says 'The Dungeon would likely be too obvious... we could send them to the farm temporarily... see if the letters stopped being dropped... dangerous... if it is noticed or if no more were planned to be dropped it would not achieve much'

Kitiara says 'I am at a bit of a lose... how to narrow the list down any further... '

Siuan Sanche says 'And what if you would play right into the darkfriends' hands?'

Kitiara sighs heavily, composure slipping, 'The thought has crossed my mind Mother... clearly they are aware of my inquiry.'

Kitiara says 'Is it why I must assume I have already spoke with the Darkfriend... it has been short a time for rumor.'

Siuan Sanche says 'I will have to think about this. If the easy solution ends up affecting the innocent, perhaps we should try harder.'

Kitiara says 'Indeed. I intend to keep collecting information, see who i can pin down to who was around at the time.'

Jenda looks around for a proper seat. 'We have a gorgeous chaise in the Yellow chambers now.

Kitiara says 'I thought it prudent you come straight away, you suspect the reasons why'

Jenda says 'I do.. but I cannot be seen to hop to at a summons, you understand. '

Jenda says 'Appearances. '

Kitiara says 'Well then I hope you went unseen'

Kitiara grins evilly.

Kitiara says 'Sister, you are one of the few whom I truly trust not to serve the Shadow... even those who know the current situation I am less confident in.'

Jenda leans forward and steeples her fingertips. 'As Gesin says.. constant vigilance.'

Jenda says 'Sister, my stomach turns at each Darkfriend we discover, truly. '

Kitiara says 'On Sunday 3 letters were left in the Well, ultimately encouraging and explaining how one might go about contacting the Shadow to become a darkfriend.'

Jenda glares around her.

Jenda says 'Did you know the fountains in our city were just today forkrooted? '

Kitiara holds up a hand as she continues talking

Jenda nods in agreement.

Kitiara says 'They were found by Chloro, who then reported then to Jocelyn, Nevirha and Callesa. Who in turn contacted the Blue to investigate...'

Jenda says 'Wise of all of them. '

Kitiara says 'I do wish they had contacted me personally... while I would believe all Blues serve the Light... well we cannot afford to be so Naive. '

Jenda nods at Kitiara.

Jenda says 'Indeed.. '

Kitiara says 'However I have taken over and started speaking to Accepted and novice and as you know, Aes Sedai.'

Jenda nods as if to gesture, 'of course'

Kitiara says 'Requesting all information about how was around on Sunday, thinking to see who were the common names.'

Jenda says 'Smart. '

Kitiara says 'As of yet that is the only type of information I can really gather... so the only option'

Jenda tilts her head in question.

Kitiara says 'Today I awoke to the head of a Blue Sister and a letter in this room... Which leads me to believe they know I am looking into the matter... and that I likely have already spoken to the Darkfriend.'

Jenda gasps in astonishment.

Kitiara says 'Everyone was sworn to silence... and while Novices and Accepted are not bound to the oath rod... it semes a fair assumption'

Jenda says 'Light... who was the poor woman? '

Kitiara says 'I have spoken to many... but hte list narrows... for today as I was traveling to Jehannah... another letter was found, again by Chloro... similar in instruction'

Jenda Chloro again? That.. is interesting.

Jenda says 'Peculiar. '

Kitiara says 'I have spoken to many... but hte list narrows... for today as I was traveling to Jehannah... another letter was found, again by Chloro... on some thieves in northern Amador... this seems related but not the same.'

Jenda says 'What does it say? '

Kitiara says 'Potentially, I would like to assume Chloro is not the Darkfriend... if so she is particularly clever. But such would be a dangerous game... '

Kitiara slides a paper with copies of the letters across the table.

Jenda clutches a fist, scowling. 'We cannot overlook any possibility.'

Jenda takes the paper and scans through, line by line.

Jenda smirks.

Jenda says 'Who is Hank? '

Jenda says 'This writing .. the patterns. They seem familiar to me. '

Kitiara says 'apparently a man associated with the Shadow, I have not gone to find the man yet... as I was hoping to gather information first... though they do know me at this point'

Kitiara says 'oh?'

Jenda nods in agreement.

Jenda says 'Having trouble putting my finger on something so vague but I feel like I've heard similar speach patterns before. '

Jenda says 'Spruce.. the whitecloak? '

Kitiara says 'Nevirha does not believe it to be Chloro because of the writing pattern... I also do not give the girl so much credit, though she seems capable.'

Jenda shakes her head.

Kitiara says 'Yes the whitecloak... surprisingly he shared and gave me the original.'

Kitiara says 'Though he did go on about me being Blue-Black'

Jenda says 'No.. not Chloro or our darkfriend. '

Jenda narrows her tilted brown eyes in thought.

Kitiara says 'My current theory is that last note was sent by someone higher in the Shadow... and that whoever is leaving notes is following orders.'

Jenda nods at Kitiara.

Kitiara says 'Whether the same killed the Aes Sedai and left the note in this room is harder to determine'

Kitiara says 'But because of today, the list shrank considerably.'

Jenda says 'I was going to share my thoughts that either there are more than one or .. someone is, as you theorized, instructed to leave these messages purposefully. '

Anaiya Sedai says 'You are not Blue Ajah.'

Jenda says 'Who is left on the list? '

Jenda re-reads.. 'So "eports from In the Blue Ajah Apartment" does this indicate the origin of the note?

Jenda says 'some of this seems almost like.. recruitment propaganda. '

Kitiara says 'There are 5 who were on both Sunday and Today during relevant times, though again... the letters could have been dropped at other times... Kavia, Chloro, Tolza, Vianca and Prya... '

Kitiara says 'You make an interesting point'

Jenda says 'I think we must find this Hank person, Sister. Find him alone... perhaps employ one of our many sneakthief friends to scout. '

Kitiara says 'Kavia is my top suspect... she has been around at all times... and she seemed a bit inconsistent when questioning her earlier today... flimsy evidence though'

Jenda says 'Oh? You spoke to her and what was discussed? '

Jenda shakes her head, frowning at the paperwork in her lap. 'If Hank knows of either girl, we can draw forth information one way or another, however unseemly the work may be.'

Kitiara says 'She was in the Tower when Chloro found the latest instructions... Kavia claimed to be with Vianca during a task the whole time, but as questions went on Vianca said she met Kavia here in the Tower, where Kavia agreed to assist... '

Jenda narrows her tilted brown eyes in thought.

Kitiara says 'Kavia had first said they were together the whole time, but later agreed they apart for some time.'

Kitiara says 'Small details...'

Jenda says 'I have not ever met nor spoke to Kavia that I can remember. '

Jenda nods at Kitiara.

Kitiara says 'I worry that confronting hank will only hamper the shadow but bring us no closer to our prey... he should be dealt with and looked into... however I would hesitate to confront him at this time.'

Jenda narrows her tilted brown eyes in thought.

Kitiara says 'I have spoken to Mother on the matter... she is concerned for obvious reasons... but is not ready to give me authority to detain anyone...'

Jenda says 'I have not asked... no one knows you're speaking to me about this, save those in this room. What the Mother does not know won't irk her. '

Jenda says 'hmm Callesa is the one who started Kavia's documentation. '

Kitiara says 'Mother is aware I intended to bring you in... and i have expressed to a few others who are aware of the situation that I intend to bring you in.'

Kitiara says 'I need to speak with Joyce... she also found the letters on Sunday, but instead of picking them up and turning them in... she left them there.'

Kitiara says 'I will bring her in now... but I would prefer you remain silent.'

Jenda tsks at the fact that the Amyrlin Seat is aware.

Jenda says 'I will, Sister. '

Jenda narrows her tilted brown eyes in thought.

Joyce says 'I awake from my slumber and there were letters on the floor, there are always sheets of paper and letters hidden, they did not seem so harmful until I viewed the content. Seeing as Accepted Chloro was there before me I brought them to her attention and had asked if she had seen them.'

Joyce says 'These were not hidden though.'

Joyce says 'The three notes were in view of everyone to see.'

Jenda whispers to you, 'obviously not accidental. those were planted to be seen. '

Kitiara nods at her.

Kitiara says 'Chloro was there with the letters before you entered the room?'

Joyce nods in agreement.

Kitiara says 'What then?'

Joyce says 'She may have dismissed them seeing as there are always sheets of paper on the floor, but she took them to Annoura Sedai, and sent out a missive to myself, Jocelyn Sedai, Nevirha Sedai, Morella Sedai, and Callesa Sedai, I had told her to include Morella Sedai in the missive.'

Jenda smirks.

Kitiara nods in understanding

Kitiara says 'Can you think of anyone else who was present around the time of their... discovery?'

Joyce smooths her dress again, taking another breath, her face a mask of composure.

Joyce says 'Not present there, however there were a lot of initiates on that day, Kitiara Sedai.'

Jenda arches an eyebrow.

Joyce looks to Jenda a moment, her eyes appear to be taking the Aes Sedai in.

Kitiara ponders life, the universe, and everything.

Jenda looks at Joyce.

Joyce says 'That is not the only concerning incident Kitiara Sedai.'

Joyce says 'Earlier this evening, I was in the square speaking with Jenda Sedai and Evangaline Sedai, and I drank from the fountain as I often do and it was forkrooted.'

Kitiara says 'indeed. There may come a time when I wish to speak with you again. Speak of this to no one without my urging. Send me a letter if you think of anything else.'

Kitiara says 'To clarify... Chloro was already in the room when you saw the papers?'

Joyce says 'She was in the room directly to the west.'

Jenda nods at Kitiara.

Kitiara frowns.

Jenda whispers to you, 'both tar valon square and a bit south fountains were forkrooted. Chloro was around, I can confirm. '

Kitiara says 'I am glad I clarified... those are two different things Accepted... you awoke and saw the letters... but you were in the room alone, Chloro was 1w or in the room with the letters?'

Joyce says 'If I am a suspect in this investigation Kitiara Sedai, I would like to recuse myself to the farm until this matter is taken care of.'

Kitiara ignores the comment and waits for an answer.

Jenda lifts her brows slightly in amused surprise.

Joyce says 'Accepted Chloro was 1w away from the room.'

Kitiara says 'And you informed her of the papers presense how? by tell?'

Joyce says 'In presence. I had asked if she had saw them, as they were present upon my awakening. I honestly was taken aback.'

Kitiara says 'So you joined in Dians room before moving back and Chloro looking at them?'

Joyce says 'Yes Kitiara Sedai.'

Kitiara says 'And you did not think to pick them up, to ensure no one else happened upon them? You did not think to bring them straight to an Aes Sedai?'

Joyce frowns, 'I had checked to see if there was anyone else around and she was the only one, I would have rather called an Aes Sedai to come and directly investigate it.'

Kitiara nods slowly

Joyce says 'I did not have time to investigate, I had to leave for dinner.'

Kitiara says 'I believe there were several poisoned. But it is not a concern of yours at the moment.'

Kitiara says 'It will be nearly impossible to determine if there are multiple... but it is possible'

Kitiara says 'in fact Kavia is the only initiate I know to have been on and able to do EVERY act... though it did not need be an initiate who left the letter in this room...'

Kitiara says 'I met with Enoch, for I had noticed he had been awake the longest at the time... after a small conversation he agreed... rooting out the Dark was an aside from the issues of our two ... organizations I suppose.'

Kitiara says 'Indeed... though I question whether he can truly channel... I do believe he used tricks (emotes) and gained a warrant... but I do not know for certain.'

Jenda says 'Do you trust this man? '

Jenda says 'If you have doubts I do have less than reputable friends who will, for a sum, do what we need done. '

Kitiara says 'I believe he serves the light yes.'

Jenda says 'I am suggesting a spy, a tracker. instead of a witness. '

Kitiara realizes she lost herself in her notes again

Kitiara says '... Etain... I have known her a long time... we have no reason to suspect her correct?'

Jenda says 'Sister we *will* find this deviant and they will burn. '

Jenda says 'Etain is a sweet woman and there is no doubt in my mind that she is light serving. '

Jenda says 'I will vouch for her, burn me. '

Kitiara says 'Yes... she shivered during our talk yesterday... and she also... would have had opportunity... though not for the most recent letters I suppose... '

Kitiara says 'And burn you I would if needed Sister... no one is above the question being raised...'

Jenda says 'Recall that I was with her most of the time. I consider her a dear friend and if she ever should turn to the Dark I will myself see her doom. '

Kitiara says 'I also asked Corath, who had been around for a simliar amount of time as Kavia today, and 3rd only to Kavia and Enoch... his lists match with Enochs for the most part'

Jenda nods at Kitiara.

Kitiara says 'I also consider her a rather close friend... but I have seen her name enough that I had to say it outloud'

Jenda frowns in thought, furrowing her brows.

Kitiara says 'It seems Chloro was not around this morning... IF we are to assume it was the same darkfriend who left the letter in this room... Kavia, Pyra and Vianca... are the only options... all of whom were awake in a timeframe for all the incidents'

Jenda says 'The first Darkfriend I exposed was Yellow Ajah. and my mentor.. Kaisha. I have long ago vowed to be vigilant and never allow such shame to come to my Ajah again. '

Jenda says 'Unless there are two. '

Jenda says 'working together. '

Kitiara says 'Unless there are two, or the one who left the messages here was not a initiate at all. '

Jenda says 'Do we know if any of these girls are known to be close friends? '

Kitiara says 'I still believe this to be one... and a brazen one... though if I had to choose two... at this point it would likely be Kavia and Vianca I suppose.'

Kitiara says 'They are the only two who could have left the most recent letters... outside of Chloro of course.'

Jenda says 'I would have to agree that they are brazen, Sister. absolutely. '

Kitiara says 'Enochs list also has an interesting bit of information...'

Jenda says 'oh? '

Kitiara says 'This morning it seems Lisennet was out and about... and at the same time Kavia was.'

Jenda narrows her tilted brown eyes in thought.

Kitiara says 'Who better to command a darkfriend in the Tower? hand over papers... kill an Aes Sedai...'

Jenda says 'That is a very interesting observation.. perhaps touching base with her informants. '

Jenda growls, 'that one slipped right under our noses.'

Kitiara says 'Kavia is the most common factor here... outside of Chloro... but Chloro shows up on no ones lists for what I found in this room.'

Kitiara says 'I will be looking into more, I will update you as I find more'

Jenda says 'Let's keep an eye on both of them. '

Kitiara nods in agreement.

Jenda says 'I really would feel more happy if we had someone watching the fountains, however. '

Kitiara says 'I will inform the Aes Sedai who know of this to be watching them as well'

Jenda nods at Kitiara.

Kitiara says 'Have someone watch them... it never hurts'

Jenda says 'Sister you are doing the Creator's work and I admire you for this. '

Jenda hugs Kitiara.

Jenda says 'Afraid I must retreat for tonight but I will keep this between us two alone. '

Kitiara says to herself, 'Chloro is another... she found all the letters and was in the vicinity of fountains being forkrooted... but i have nothing to show her being able to leave the letter in the blue rooms this morning (though it may not have been an initiate who left it)'

Kitiara says to herself, 'Vianca and Pyra also seem to have been able to commit each act.'

Some time ago propaganda to support the Shadow was being found around the Tower. What follows is the attempt to find the culprit... the hunt was unsuccessful.

What follows is several days and many meetings as I worked to uncover the darkfriend.


Kitiara finds another paper along with evidence of an attacked against Baeryn. She summons several initiates to try and find more information about who was around during the times the paper could have been planted.

First a Brief conversation with Chloro about the letters she found...



Conservatory of the Blue Ajah
During daytime, bright light floods in from tall, arched windows set in the
eastern wall, which offer a view of the many spires of Tar Valon as well as
the eastern bank of the Erinin. On clear days, the peaks of the Dragonwall
can be seen, far away to the east. Bookshelves, tables, maps and charts are
all present as the Blue sisters prepare for whatever tasks currently occupy
them or as they plan business away from the Tower. On one wall hang two
large portraits of Ciel Sedai and Adaire Sedai, with white ribbons of
mourning tied into the latticework of the frames.

Chloro says 'Good Evening Kitiara Sedai.'

Kitiara gestures for the Accepted to sit across from her.

Kitiara says 'Hello Accepted. '

Chloro smooths her skirts and takes a seat across from the Aes Sedai. "To what do I owe this pleasure?"

Kitiara looks at Chloro and says quickly, 'I will keep this brief and to the point. Why did you leave letters advising Novices and Accepted how to get into contact with agents of the dark?'

Chloro takes on the best Aes Sedai calm I can. "On the hope of my rebirth and salvation, I did not leave the letters. They where found by Accepted Joyce in the Wells."

Kitiara says 'A bit over practiced that face, but it is good to know at the very least you do not fall into a panic... whether you tell the truth or not. For now we will assume you tell the truth... but understand that as far as I am concerned it is an assumption more than a fact.'

Kitiara says 'Did you talk to joyce on the matter or did she react at all to your picking up the notes?'

Kitiara says 'Furthermore, when did you make this discovery? (RL date and time if possible)'

Chloro relaxes her face slightly noding as she listens."I was confering with Accepted Dian when She found them. We where both shocked to find such documents so far into the tower. As soon as Joyce found them we Attempted to report it to Morella Sedai. If you would like I have a letter and log I sent to my Mentors and Morella Sedai upon turning them into Annoura Sedai."

Chloro says 'They where found Sunday (Sun Jan 09, 2022 3:56 pm)'

Kitiara says 'I am well aware of the correspondence. No need to forward the letter as I have already read it. '

Kitiara says 'Do you have a list of Novices and Accepted who would have been out and about at that time? (relatively close to time of finding them who list)'

Chloro says 'I know Kavia was awake but not near the Tower. As to others I am not sure. I was quite shaken by finding them and did not think to look after.'

Kitiara gets up and walks out the door, a Novice is heard scurrying off before Kitiara closes the door and sits back down.

Chloro says 'I will state, I instructed joyce not to tell anyone outside of Morella or the Aes Sedai mentioned in the letter unless she was put to questioning. I did not want to alert any potential darkfriends in the lower ranks of what had been found.'

Kitiara says 'So Joyce found the notes and showed them to you?'

Chloro says 'She found the notes and left them where Found I picked them up and moved them. I did not want to risk the documents being tampered with or destroyed before a full sister could be found.'

Kitiara frowns.

Kitiara nods in agreement.

Kitiara says 'What did she say of them?'

Chloro says 'She was shocked to say the least and called them dark friend propaganda. I however have read of the inn spoken of in the tower library. Oddly under a previous questioning in the archives.'

Kitiara says 'So she showed them to you, or she told you of them?'

Chloro says 'She told me of them. I viewed them for myself to verify. Thats when I went to Annoura.'

Kitiara says 'Or did you enter the room and find them there with her... and then she told you what they were.'

Kitiara says 'The specifics are very important Accepted.'

Chloro says 'Joyce told me they where in the well. I entered after from Accepted Dian's apartment to find 3 documents on the ground. I think picked them up to verify if they where what Joyce Claimed. '

Kitiara impassively watches Accepted Chloro for a long moment before saying, 'I will need to speak with Joyce, in the mean time search your memory for any Novices, Accepted or Aes Sedai who were out and about during the time. Mail me that list. Speak of this to no one. If you have nothing else to add you are dismissed.'

Chloro says 'I must Admit that I had just woken and do not know for how long they were there. Only two Aes Sedai where about at that mine Morelle Fighting near Whitebridge And Erulisse.'

Chloro says 'neither in the tower at the time.'

Kitiara nods in understanding

Chloro stands slowly fighting back the urge to let out a shiver before smoothing her skirts and turning towards the door."You have my full cooperation for anything needed Kitiara Sedai."

Chloro deeply curtseys to the Aes Sedai near.

Kitiara says 'Write that up as best you can and mail it to me. Remember speak to no one... If I have need of you you will know. '

Chloro opens the carveddoor.

There is something written upon it:

A Novice and Accepted were skipping to the Hall. The Accepted did trip and have a great fall.
The Novice began to giggle as the Accepted began to crawl.
The Novice rained fire down upon them all, until none was left and she stood tall.

The Lord of the Grave was her proud pa, the Novice did not fear for he saw it all.
Hank was the beginning, the light was the end, darkness was the call that she would send.

The Tower will suffer, again and again, for their ideals it is their sin.
Could it be an Accepted, could it be a Novice? Maybe even a Sister has started all this.

Regardless of how the story will go, the Dark One will reign supreme.
Until you can stop thinking then you will see.
None can stop his might. No one can stand in his path.

Someone knocks on the carveddoor from the other side.

Kitiara glances at the door and calls, 'You may enter.'

Kitiara says 'Novice, It has come to my attention you were out and about this past Sunday the 9th?'

Prya says 'Yes, Kitiara Sedai'

Kitiara nods in agreement.

Kitiara says 'I need for you to search your memory, and any notes you may have (logs) and mail me a list of every Novice, Accepted and Aes Sedai you saw that day. Speak of this to no one.'

Prya says 'Can you please tell me if there is a special way to search my memory (logs) as I am unpracticed in this'

Kitiara says 'who list/where list'

Kitiara says 'If you have time stamps, that would be helpful as well.'

Kitiara says 'you have had to have saved logs for the day or have it set up to save logs everyday. '

Kitiara says 'if you dont thats fine, just try to remember what you can.'

Prya says 'I see, Aes Sedai. I did not save logs. Can you tell me how to save them in the future so I can be more helpful?'

Prya says 'I believe it was Sunday that Millana and another Accepted helped me hunt in the forest.'

Kitiara says 'this is not a normal request... ooc -but in general, what client do you use '

Prya says 'ooc Mudlet 4.14'

Kitiara says 'not sure for mudlet, but for zmud you go to file and new log... im sure if you ask around other will help you with mudlet'

Prya nods in agreement.

Kitiara says 'Think on it and send me a letter Novice (forum mail)'

Prya says 'Is it possible for me to see a list of all Accepted?'

Kitiara says 'Remember, speak of this to no one.'

Prya nods in agreement.

Prya says 'The other Accepted was Brandicole I believe'

Kitiara says 'To no one dear... send in the Accepted on your way out.'

Kitiara says 'And Mail it please.'

Prya nods in agreement.

Sarinda ponders life, the universe, and everything.

Sarinda says 'Yes, if it pleases the Light, I think that is my memory.'

Kitiara says 'Search that memory and any notes (logs) you may have. Send me a list of every Novice, Accepted and Aes Sedai you saw that day. Timestamps are helpful if possible. Speak of this to no one Accepted.'

Sarinda draws down her thin eyebrows into a frown.

Sarinda raises her right hand to her lips. 'It is agreed, under the Light.'

Sarinda says 'How would you prefer me to send you my notes?'

Kitiara says 'A letter is fine. (forum mail)'

Sarinda nods in agreement.

Kitiara gestures with her hand.

Kitiara says 'That is all.'

The door smoothly swings open.

Someone knocks on the carveddoor from the other side.

Kitiara says 'Please mail me a log of every who list, where and time stamp you have from today.'

Kitiara says 'As before speak of this to no one.'

Kavia nods in agreement.

Kitiara says 'That is all.'

Kitiara gestures with her hand.

The door smoothly swings open.

Kavia says 'Yes Kitiara Sedai'

Kavia dips into a well practiced curtsy.

Kavia leaves west.

Kitiara glances at the door and calls, 'You may enter.'

Tolza has arrived from the west.

Tolza spread her dress with colored bands, in a precise curtsy.

Kitiara gestures with her hand.

Kitiara says 'Sit down Accepted.'

The door swings silently and shuts with a click.

Tolza sits down and rests on a stout oaken chair.

Tolza says 'How may I be of service Kitiara Sedai.'

Kitiara says 'It seems we have an issue Child. Your refusal to provide me the information I seek is problematic... as is your reasoning involving the darkfriend Lisennet.'

Kitiara sits erect in her chair, watching the Accepted.

Tolza says 'I did not refuse to provide you with information Aes Sedai, I simply stated that I did not have a clear record of events from that day in addition to the matters concerning Lisennet.'

Kitiara says 'And why did you feel it necessary to invoke the Darkfriend?'

Kitiara says 'And I do believe you said unable AND unwilling.... '

Tolza says 'The betrayal of the Darkfriend has left me....'

Tolza says 'Wary of fellow members of the tower.'

Tolza says 'As far as being unwilling.'

Tolza says 'I should of been more clear and for that I apologize.'

Tolza says 'I am unwilling to speculate on events of that day, because I have no record of events. '

Kitiara 's eyes flare for a moment before stating, 'You are foolish to believe that you are impacted more or even close to the same amount as I, a full Aes Sedai. Yet here we are child. I have lived through this before and I will live through it again. Your distrust in fellow members of this Tower suggest suspicion. That is a dangerous accusation to pursue...'

Kitiara says 'I will forgive the slight regarding Sundays information, because you can still be of use to me. '

Kitiara says 'How long have you been awake today?'

Tolza says 'For a few hours (real time) Aes Sedai'

Kitiara nods in agreement.

Kitiara says 'Send me every who list, where and timestamp you have on the day. Include any Novice, Accepted or Aes Sedai you saw who does not make one of those lists. '

Tolza says 'Yes Aes Sedai.'

Kitiara takes a moment before saying, 'Lisennet is unfortunately not a unique situation. However much I wish she were... You are right to be cautious... but you must be more careful with your wording... if you are ever to shawl those phrasing could condemn or trap you from assisting the Light.'

Tolza nods in agreement.

Tolza says 'I understand Aes Sedai.'

Kitiara nods in agreement.

Kitiara says 'Thank you child, that is all'

Kitiara gestures with her hand.

The door smoothly swings open.

Tolza stops resting, and clambers on her feet.

Tolza spread her dress with colored bands, in a precise curtsy.
